## What is EWC Check Me?

Regular breast and cervical cancer screening is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself and your loved ones! Screening can give you peace of mind. Early detection of breast and cervical cancer means faster treatment and better outcomes.

The Every Woman Counts (EWC), Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Reminder Mobile Telephone Application helps users keep what’s important up front by marking a clearer path to the goal of breast and cervical cancer screening. Very easy to use, users enter information about their screening history into the mobile application and select a screening schedule for clinical breast exams (CBE), mammograms, Pap tests and human papillomavirus (HPV) tests. This information is kept on the user’s mobile phone. Over time the application reminds the user to make and keep appointments with their healthcare provider for these important and lifesaving screenings. Life is busy and filled with many things to do. Reminders and calendars help users develop and reach their screening goals.

The EWC Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening Reminder Mobile Telephone Application was designed by staff of the Cancer Detection and Treatment Branch (CDTB) of the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) and developed by California Information Technology Services Division (ITSD).
