### 5/5 — Simple to use!

*2026-10-15*

Because this app is so simple to use, I’m able to stay consistent. With other apps or programs, I feel overwhelmed with all the options or I have to start timers myself, and then I get lazy and just stop using it. I initially used this app to help me get over quadricep tendinitis, and now I’m just using it to support my running. My only complaint is when you open the app, if you have it set to hear the beeps for the start and stop of an exercise, it makes your music quiet. I then increase the volume on my phone which also increases the volume of the beeps which is not necessary. I’d love an option to not change the volume of the music at all. Other than that, it’s great!!! I’m planning to get it for my aging mom as well just to guide her through basic PT I’ve been telling her she should be doing anyway. She can ignore the running part or go for a walk instead.

### 3/5 — Good graduated PT exercises; short on personalizing program

*2026-07-31*

I’ve been using the Exakt Running & PT Trainer to address gluteal tendinopathy for 6months now. It’s best for graduated PT exercises as the cues & exercises have really helped my rehabilitation so that I could recover my strength. At this point in time, I’m in the process of progressing my endurance runs using Exakt. Big issues with the app: I never could get it to synchronize with my Apple Watch after much troubleshooting, so I have to carry my iPhone on runs, which I don’t like to do. Secondly, I couldn’t customize my program & progress on the app or even specify which particular exercises cause discomfort/pain or which are easy or difficult, as the program has me rate each session in total. Thirdly, I don’t like that the app doesn’t let me customize or make changes to the workout schedule. For examples, I completed exercise sessions but forgot to mark as completed, but the program won’t let me update that once that day passed. Or there were days I couldn’t go running because I’d be scheduled to work 3 12-hour shifts in a row as an ICU nurse. The program wouldn’t let me substitute something at home like a core or leg workout on the mat as substitutions on those days, never mind that I’d track 15,000 steps per day on those days at work. In short, the app program is very limited & rigid & doesn’t take into account or reflect whole body or life activities.

### 5/5 — Back pain

*2026-01-03*

I’ve always had this old running injury with my left back, and I’m postpartum now. My second pregnancy definitely worsened my back pain towards the third trimester. It was bothering me so much lately. I remembered doing the exakt app prior to pregnancy and it did help my back pain. So today I reopened the app, and tried the back mobility exercises and my back pain seriously improved, almost gone. I’m really impressed! I guess I really have to stretch nowadays in my late 30s.

### 5/5 — Love this App

*2025-10-07*

This is an excellent app. Very clear instructions. I’ve been on the program for five weeks and what a difference. I’d love for the developers to branch out into other areas of the body - shoulders, elbows etc

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your kind feedback! 🙏 We’re thrilled to hear the program has made such a difference for you. It’s great to know you’d like to see more areas covered — we really appreciate the suggestion and wish you continued success with your training!

### 3/5 — Too many issues

*2025-08-10*

I really wanted to like this app. The programming is excellent but when logging a workout in the app it’s turns my music down without being able to fix so I have yo do the workout and log after.

My biggest complaint right now is I paid for the $20 upgrade for the month and have been unable to get into the app the past 3-4 days. As soon as I attempt to open the app it force quits despite attempting various troubleshooting methods. If this happened for just a day or two it would be no big deal but now going on four days is ridiculous!

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your detailed feedback and sorry for the delay in replying. 🙏 We’re very sorry about the crash issues you’ve experienced — that should of course not happen. Please reach out via our support form https://www.exakthealth.com/en/contact

Regarding the music volume: when you start a workout in the app, the system lowers other audio. You can switch off workout sounds in the workout settings and then adjust your phone volume to enjoy your music at normal level. Just keep in mind to lower the volume again once the workout ends, as it will jump back up.

We appreciate your patience and hope you can get back to training with Exakt soon!

### 4/5 — Almost perfect.

*2024-11-25, version 2.0.2*

This app really is life-changing. It has nearly cured my gluteal tendinopathy in two months, well worth the subscription fee. However, I have a suggestion that would make it better: I am doing the exercises at home, where I don’t have room to store a stability ball, or anywhere to attach a band for the pallof press. It would be nice to be able to swap out an exercise for something I can actually do. I try to adapt but I will have to just do some sort of plank today since I don’t have a ball for ball curls. Frustrating, but at least I’m at a stage where my injury is much better and I feel confident about swapping my exercises if need be.

Edited to add:
I’m at the return-to-running stage, and there is a warm up exercise section, followed by the walking/running, and then a cool down exercise section, but the workout ends after the walking/running and doesn’t allow me to see the cool down exercises. So that’s a bug.

### 1/5 — Would like to cancel

*2024-10-19, version 1.24.1*

I would like to cancel , the work outs are not working for me. The counting is off in later work outs and it’s annoying.

### 5/5 — Hands down the best rehab

*2024-05-04, version 1.21.2*

I’m not a runner One day I decided to run faster on the treadmill and do plyometrics with lots of jumping. After a week of exercises, i developed right glute pain that prevented me from doing normal activities such as walking or just sitting. The doctors said it’s a radiated pain from the muscle spasms in my back and gave me stretches that just sent me in flames! It was just overwhelming to be in pain and to add to the pain. Until one day i stumbled upon the app from a youtube video. The app explains the root cause of gluteal tendinopathy , the symptoms, what not to do, the first exercises to just settle the pain and so much more that 10 sessions at a normal PT failed to explain or achieve. My body feels stronger, even though i haven’t reached the final stages of rehab. I’m recommending the app to all my friends (even though they are not runners), just to strengthen their bodies and see differences within few weeks. A normal PT session is 190 USD/20 minutes, while i paid 40 USD for 3 months for the app. I’m grateful that i came across the app and wish it has more rehab and prehab exercises for other sports injuries. Keep up the great work 🤍

### 4/5 — Great App but room for Improvement

*2023-11-02*

I’m back running and feel great. The only issue I have is that the back-to-running warmup and cooldown is not guided anymore like in the rest of the app. It’s there so why not allow me to use it.

**Developer response:** Hi Andy. Thank you for your feedback. We'll forward the feedback to our developers. Happy injury-free running.
