When I was taking my exam I logged into the platform and they took an hour to even get everything set up and the proctor then said there was a problem with my ID but after reaching out to my state exam center they told me my ID was acceptable. Then I had to reach out to the examroom.ai staff and they let me reschedule. When I signed in again to take my exam on the rescheduled date they said my laptop had latency issues which my laptop doesn’t because after they ran a bunch of test on the internet speed and laptop systems they found that everything was excellent. Meaning the problem was on their side. Their staff never told me what the problem was and they take forever to respond. Overall I would never recommend this platform to anyone and if there was an option to give a negative rating I would. ### 1/5 — Worst proctoring service in the world *2025-12-19, version 2.27* I had an important exam for my CNA class. Like the job that takes care of people in hospitals btw. I’ve spent 30 minutes waiting on a proctor that doesn’t just hang up on me. My exam started at 3:40 PM. Its currently 4:05 PM and Im still waiting on a proctor. Customer service was unhelpful as well. This app sucks and is incredibly stupid along with all ghe workers. ### 1/5 — Programming issue *2025-11-11, version 2.27* The app kept saying it not in the correct format I’ve been at this for 1hr I was supposed to start at 6pm and I had two hrs plus accommodation. It is very frustrating I will definitely have to do this in person because of all the difficulties via online. The software is so terrible I tried using five different laptops to try and take the written test and none of them were good enough. Plan on getting online an hour before the exam. Yes it takes that long to go through all the steps to prepare for the exam. It seems that the company outsourced all the work. It was very difficult to understand a strong Indian accent of a person who was guiding me. If you have an option to take the exam at the testing facility in person , do that instead. Btw, they declined “Global Entry” ID with a photo and finger prints as a valid ID. I was in middle of my exam and the app stop working twice, I even tried to answer questions fast as I can but still, can’t beat how bad this app is. I couldn’t even make an account because you need a code. I asked support for the code they said that you don’t even need the app. Then it wouldn’t let me test unless I made an account so I completely logged out of everything just to sign back in and it finally let me start the process. ### 1/5 — Worst website and app to ever exist *2023-12-19, version 2.27* 1 star is way too generous. After going through the motions to take my test 4 times in a row I ended up missing my state exam because the incompetent morons that that run it couldn’t figure out what was wrong and the only advice they had was “try closing everything and restarting again” which was so unhelpful and never fixed the issue. Not to mention their Indian accents where so strong I could barely understand what any of them were trying to tell me and they had to repeat at least 4 times. The reason why Credentia uses this site is way beyond me. ### 1/5 — Horrible app and non existent customer service *2023-09-22, version 2.27* Cannot get the app to work with my iPad. Tried it through the website. Error cannot use safari. Says to download chrome. I download chrome then log on there there. Finally get error message that now tells me that I need to use a laptop. What a horrible and required method to take my test. It has been over 24 hours on a weekday and no response back from tech support. I cannot schedule the exam until I can get the issues sorted and my device approved. My errors trying to use on iPad: Low bandwidth Not safari compatible Screen sharing error that is not elaborated on so I can fix I have issues that when the errors are presented it gives you no solutions or tips, the website only directs you to their support team that’s non existent. I’m still waiting. I have no idea what I’m going to do and I have a limited amount of time to try and figure it out before the test date closes. ### 1/5 — Do whatever you can to avoid ever using this *2023-07-02, version 2.27* This is one of the worst testing experiences I have ever had. Their website failed *twice* which led to incredibly stressful exams— both times. I had to reschedule twice to take this exam because their website is so antiquated. Rude customer service. They will hang up on you and leave miserable trying to figure out and try to reconnect again. I wish the STATE BOARD ask the Credentia to get a better apps for the CNA EXAM. Horrible experience! Why is this even allowed? I have been on the phone with customer service and they are no help. The app is so buggy I can’t even get passed the sign in. I will never recommend this app for anyone. Why does credentia even pair with this app? I showed the proctor and they said not to use the app. To just scan with my phone. And even then the proctoring system would not work. I had to get somebody else’s phone in the phone to do the examine. I didn’t start my examine until 35 minutes after bc of this. Have multiple devices charged and ready bc this takes up a lot of battery life. ### 1/5 — Amazing how you can screw up a simple concept *2026-07-09, version 2.27* They’re either paid to use this vibe coded garbage or it’s the cheapest they can find. ### 1/5 — Worst app I have ever used *2026-06-03, version 2.27* My phone and laptop are both up to date, I have 160 gb of storage free, no other apps running, and I still can’t get this app to work. All the app tech support could tell me to do is restart my phone and reconnect to WiFi, still doesn’t work. They asked me if I could borrow someone else’s phone, but credentia said I had to be alone to take the test so there is no one I can borrow from! I’ve been trying to access the test for a full hour now. Going to just call credentia customer service and try to reschedule for an in person test because this is absolutely not worth the hassle. Wish I could give it zero stars! ### 1/5 — WORSE DAY EVER *2026-05-23, version 2.27* I downloaded this app as we were told to do when I was taking my GNA written exam. I waited 3 hours when my starting time was initially 5pm. Going back and forth with technical support because the app wasn’t working, waiting for an onboarding agent as well was hell for me. I was tired, I was hungry..everything and I had to go to work that same day. So many reviews stating this app is absolute garbage, yet they continue to force student to use it with no other option. Some of the reviews state it could take up to 2 HOURS to get it working. This kind of added stress when taking a State exam could affect test takers score. I would not be surprised if someone collected data on test takers to see if their score could have been higher if they were not forced the added stress this app adds to the test takers on a VERY important day. ## Most praised reviews (4 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Worked fine *2026-05-23, version 2.27* The app worked fine for the duration of the testing. I had no issues with scanning the barcode provided by credentia or setting up the camera or microphone for testing. ### 5/5 — Future exams *2022-07-05, version 2.26* This app saved me time from having to take the test in a testing site 1hr from home ### 2/5 — Helpful staff fix app crashes *2024-07-13, version 2.27* Application itself is not intuitive and very slow. However, the proctors/staff on the call were super helpful and patient in guiding me through my test! Make sure your cookies are cleared, your app is up to date, and your network is stable to make tests go smoothly :) ### 2/5 — Issue with the room scan *2022-10-07, version 2.27* TLDR; make sure your phone is updated and that you have enough space on your phone. Also the employees are doing their best as I am sure they deal with these issues a lot. Started the exam process at 230pm. I had predownloaded the app to make sure it worked, but when the onboarding agent had me turn on the room scan, my camera froze and they had to disconnect me. The agent told me it was because I hadn’t updated my iPhone all the way and to borrow someone else’s phone. However, you need to use the phone’s camera during the whole exam. Since this was so last minute, I couldn’t find anyone who was free for 2 hours to wait for their phone. In the end, I believe it was due to the space on my phone. I had about 10GB left of space on my phone when I tried to take the exam. I deleted 10 more GB to download the update. Unfortunately, I ran out of time for the download (you get 1 hr past your test time to start the exam) and decided to just try again with the space I made. The app started to work and I was able to take my exam.
