## What is ExcalidrawZ?

ExcalidrawZ is a native Excalidraw client for Mac, iPad, and iPhone, designed for hand-drawn whiteboards, diagrams, sketches, visual notes, and technical explanations.

It keeps the familiar Excalidraw canvas experience, then adds native file management, iCloud sync, history, import and export tools, and Apple-platform interactions around it.

Absolutely love that this exists! Super useful to finally be able to use excalidraw like a local drawing software. Just wish a few basic things existed, like the app being able to open an .excalidraw file anywhere in the local file system via an “open drawing” dialogue box, and edit the file keeping it where it is rather than creating it in iCloud or a linked folder. Since I would like to keep drawings as part of a project in the project’s folder, and there may be many such projects at different locations locally.

Great app, but I did run into issues with uploading larger image files. It seems to automatically resize images, which renders text basically unreadable with larger images. I managed to get around it by chopping up the image into a bunch of smaller ones and kinda piecing them together like a jigsaw, but it would be great if there were support for image files without resizing them (or give the option to have the full-size image if you want to).
