## What is ExerciseToUse?

Exercise Lock is a focus assistance app that helps you build healthier phone habits through exercise-based unlocking.
After you activate a subscription with a 7-day free trial, you can use the full experience: on each day you accumulate at least 10 minutes of walking, running, or cycling recorded in the Health app, the apps you selected will be unlocked automatically.

Core Features:
- Require selected apps to unlock only after you’ve exercised for at least 10 minutes
- Use workout data from the Health app and unlock only after you reach at least 10 minutes of walking, running, or cycling
- Automatically lift restrictions once your daily exercise goal is reached
- Real-time lock status so you can always see whether you’ve met today’s exercise requirement
- Reliable background operation, especially when used with Apple Watch or workout apps that write to Health

Subscription Plans:
- 7-day free trial (provided via App Store subscription)
- Monthly: NT$60 / month
- Yearly: NT$600 / year (best value)

Your subscription gives you:
- Full access to Exercise Lock, including the exercise-before-unlock mechanism
- Additional theme colors (such as Light Blue and Light Green)
- All future premium theme variations and visual customization features

After the free trial ends, your subscription will automatically renew at the selected plan’s price unless canceled beforehand. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in iOS Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions.

Exercise Lock is not just about limiting usage — it gently nudges you to exercise for at least 10 minutes a day and use your phone in a healthier, more mindful way.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.0 — 2026-01-14

[Core Engine & Notification Upgrades]
1. Precise Locking: Utilizing new system entitlements, restrictions now activate instantly at the scheduled time without delay.
2. Notification Optimization:
- Upgraded to "Time Sensitive" notifications to ensure lock alerts are delivered on time.
- Bug Fix: Fixed an issue where cancelling a pass did not trigger a notification.
3. Automatic Midnight Unlock: Added a 00:00 background reset mechanism. The app now resets automatically the next day without needing to be opened, while preventing duplicate notification disturbances.

[Feature & UI Fixes]
1. Workout Rule Sync: Fixed the logic for "Workout Time Window" settings to ensure background monitoring correctly reads your preferences.
2. UI Optimization: Simplified the "Time Setting" button on the home screen to a circular icon for a cleaner look.
3. Guidance Update: Updated in-app info text to clearly explain how "battery status" affects automatic unlock speed.
4. Localization Fixes: Improved Traditional Chinese and English display issues.

### 1.6 — 2025-12-26

1. Added an “Update Reminder”: the app checks for a new version when the app launches or returns to the foreground.
2. To reduce disruption, reminders for the same latest version are shown up to 12 times per day, with a minimum 2-hour interval. If the user taps “Later,” the reminder may appear again after the interval when the app is launched/foregrounded.

### 1.5 — 2025-12-22

1. More accurate notification wording: Unlock notifications now display different messages based on the reason (e.g., “Day reset” or “Today Pass”), avoiding “Workout completed” wording for day-reset or pass-related unlocks.
2. Lock/unlock state change notifications: When the selected apps’ restriction state changes (locked ↔ unlocked), the app sends a corresponding notification so users can be informed even when they are not actively using the app.
3. User Interface enhancement.

### 1.4 — 2025-12-16

1. Step progress hint (when no Workout exists): If the user has no running/walking/cycling Workout records today and has not met the requirement yet, the app appends a “best 10-minute steps” message after “At least 10 minutes of exercise is required” (e.g., 13:10–13:20: 532 steps) to show progress. This message is hidden as soon as a Workout is detected or the requirement is met.
2. Update prompt (non-blocking): When the installed version is below the latest version, shows an optional prompt to open the App Store for updating (users can dismiss it and continue using the app).

### 1.3 — 2025-12-11

New feature：
- Even when today’s goal is reached using steps only (with no workout recorded), the app now unlocks restricted apps in the background and sends an unlock notification.
