### 5/5 — Works very well

*2014-01-26, version 3.7*

Loads fast shows picture information plus map location very quickly. Very happy with it.

### 5/5 — Cool App! A bit cumbersome...

*2013-11-10, version 3.6*

I've never written a review (as far as I can remember) so congratulations you guys, you will always be my first.

The app is really cool, I'm amazed you can do all these things on your phone...the device you used to take the photo. Hmm, cool!

I also really liked the integration with Apple Maps. It's an obvious and necessary feature, but it was well done none the less.

The one thing I didn't like, were all the pro-tips that kept popping up, and how long and hard it was to navigate through the app. I don't think you could have jumped around from place to place, you had to move from feature to feature linearly.

All in all, a cool app. gj;gg.

### 5/5 — great app

*2013-08-28, version 3.4*

One of the essential apps on my phone. Access to EXIF (and other) metadata is fast and accurate (to the limits of iPhone/iOS/wifi-GPS/etc.). The UI is arranged well enough to see the image & metadata quickly. It would be cool to resize text or re-arrange the fields to have more (or select) info visible without scrolling.

### 5/5 — Outstanding

*2013-05-27, version 3.2*

Very helpful tool. Very intuitive too. Fast response on email questions and suggestions. Highly recommended!

### 5/5 — Exactly what I was looking for

*2012-12-17, version 3.2*

Was mainly looking for an app to show the date each photo was taken (How can iPhone not include this basic information!?) This app provides that plus much more about the image. Very happy with it.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2012-10-30, version 3.0*

I wanted this app for knowing what date pics were taken. It does that plus more! It gives you latitude & longitude so you get GPS coordinates for your picture. Also, shows it on a map. All that is pretty awesome.

### 5/5 — Only thing missing is Video data

*2012-09-29, version 2.0*

This app does exactly what it says, which is basically what Apple should've done in the first place. It fills a void that the phone had. With this being my fourth iPhone which has had it's data brought over from my first, I have a lot of pictures. It's nice to be able to see when these were taken, especially the ones of our baby.

Only thing I'd like to see added is the ability to get information on videos the phone(s) has taken.

Keep up the good work!

### 5/5 — App does what it says!

*2012-09-13, version 1.19*

I can finally see the dates and times of of when my photos were taken! This is perfect because my husband and I were trying to figure out what day we got pregnant and the only thing we knew was that it was the day we made homemade pizzas (of which we took pictures). I'm so happy thanks to this app :D

### 5/5 — Finally!

*2012-02-11, version 1.16*

I've been looking for a simple app to show the date and time a picture was taken. This app does that and so much more. Thank you for making it and saving me the hassle of learning objective-C. With any luck you'll be the next Siri

### 5/5 — A very convenient app

*2011-06-06, version 1.9*

Not being able to view the date of a photo on the iPhone was a major headache for me until I found this app. Works perfectly and simply, plus it's free!

### 5/5 — No Brainer. Great Free App.

*2011-05-10, version 1.9*

I use my phone to document and inventory stuff and this solves my problem of knowing when I took the picture. Why Apple doesn't have I don't know.

### 5/5 — Must have addition to the photo library

*2011-05-01, version 1.9*

This app is absolutely wonderful. Now some of this function really should be part of iOS. Really it is nuts that you can't see when a photo was taken in the built in apps. But this app fills all those gaps and some. I got it just to see when photos where taken, but the map function is now my favorite feature.

### 5/5 — What a great app

*2011-01-21, version 1.6*

This app has matured to providing all the Exif information I could want from a photo. It's well laid out and easy to read. Good job developers.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Stopped working

*2021-04-07, version 4.4*

Won’t stay open.

### 1/5 — Too many Bugs

*2017-06-19, version 4.4*

When it works, it's great but over half the time it won't even load the photos in my folders. Just shows black squares. Plus the info for older photos is when you added them to your device, NOT the exit if the original photo. very misleading! Not ready for prime time at all. Save your money on the pro version. It's worse than the free version!

### 1/5 — New iOS 10 version not working

*2016-09-22, version 4.4*

Stopped working after updating phone to iOS 10. Still doesn't work after App update either.

### 2/5 — No Map feature as shown and as discussed

*2010-11-26, version 0*

I bought this in part for the mapping feature SHOWN on the app store screen and discussed as being available on the 3G and 3GS in the description, so where is it??? There is no "Map" button at all and there are no instructions discussing it. It's as if it doesn't really exist.
Yes, I am viewing iPhone taken photos, taken w the 3GS...
In addition to that GLARING "not as advertised" omission the app EXIF also doesn't display the GPS coordinates in the EXIF data.

### 3/5 — Good when it works

*2015-11-15, version 4.3.1*

Exif Wizard is good when it works, but I've encountered a couple of bugs:
(1) I have an album of photos from Istanbul which contains 78 pictures, yet Exif Wizard says there are 0 in the album and obviously won't display them. I have another album with the same problem.
(2) Instead of going to the beginning of a large file, as claimed, E.W. only begins part way through and I don't see any way of going farther back.

If Exif Wizard worked as advertised, I'd probably buy the Pro version, but until they fix these problems, I'm not interested.

### 4/5 — Exif Wizard

*2014-08-29, version 4.0*

This is a great utility! It is useful for keeping mileage logs. I snap photos of my odometer and when I fill out my logbooks I can just open up this app and it shows me both time and location of each shot taken. It would be nice if there was an arrow in the main screen to allow you to go onto the next picture without having to go back to the camera roll each time, but otherwise this is an excellent app.

Update: The creators of this app are very responsive and replied immediately to my feedback. The feature that I thought was lacking for this program is available on the Pro version and is well worth the cost of the app. Great App!!!

### 4/5 — good user interface

*2014-05-10, version 3.7*

I needed an app to be able to quickly see lat and long of a picture, and this one does it because of its well-designed UI.

### 4/5 — Works as described WITH MAPPING

*2013-11-10, version 3.6*

I find this app works as described, including a pin map showing location that photo was taken.

There is a high level of help and "how to use" information in the app as well.

I am puzzled by developer's in app comments, "Any data regarding camera azimuth (the direction the camera was facing at the time a photo was taken…"

That comment may simply be intended to educate users on EXIF data points, but after reading it, I expected to find that the developer uses the azimuth data in the map display. That doesn't currently happen.

This is a good app, and I appreciate the developer's efforts.
THANK YOU!
👍😃👍😃👍😃👍😃

### 5/5 — Very nice

*2019-05-15, version 4.4*

Thank you for being unobtrusive, transparent, fully functional, and definitely the type of app that everyone should have :-) this app does exactly what it is supposed to do and nothing more. It is a very well-laid-out and highly functional piece of software. It does not bug you with ads, it does not bug you to upgrade; it simply performs the functions that it is advertised to do. If exif information is encoded in the photograph, it will read it… That Matthew is a very helpful :-) thank you

### 5/5 — Every Mobil Device should have this App

*2017-11-29, version 4.4*

This app is quick and clean in what it does. You want to know the exact time and location of a photo? You can easily see that info.

Everyone should know how much information is available in the meta data of a photo.

This app allows me to share the info or to remove geo location for a photo of my family that I want to post on a social media site.

This is a very useful tool.

## Most praised reviews (8 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Simple tool

*2017-05-25, version 4.4*

Downloaded a couple years ago, still works great. Simple and easy! No ads.

### 5/5 — Great information, no ads

*2016-12-19, version 4.4*

Worked great on an iPhone 6s on iOS 10.2. No ads were a plus. Purchase required to edit metadata but for just viewing it's great.

### 5/5 — Excellent app and customer service

*2016-04-04, version 4.3.1*

Glad I chose this app. If you cannot get your lat long to show on iPhone 6 go to :
1) Touch the “Settings” icon
2) Touch the “Privacy” table cell
3) Touch the “Location Services” table cell
4) Make sure the “Location Services” switch at the top of the screen is ON
5) Touch the “Camera” table cell (scroll down if necessary)
6) Make sure the “While Using the App” table cell is checked (touch it if it is not)
7) Try again

### 5/5 — Rather handy, accomplishes the task well

*2014-11-14, version 4.3.1*

Overall, I give a good marks.

The interface isn't slick like some apps, but it's completely functional and get you everything that you need.

### 5/5 — Great product

*2014-09-18, version 4.0*

Its stable, it gets the time and day of the picture taken, and it allows you to browse your picture folders and get the picture data from there.

### 5/5 — Picture info

*2014-09-14, version 4.0*

Tells you the date you took the picture, among other things.

### 5/5 — Show me the file size 😁

*2014-04-07, version 3.7*

I got this app mostly for viewing the size of video files (probably not the app's intended use). It's simple and works great. I especially like the Begin and End buttons to navigate the camera roll. I wish more apps did this.

Three things to note though:

- The app has no indicator for which files are videos versus photos.

- No file extension is shown (not sure if that's available and probably isn't EXIF anyway).

- The app crashes when I select some very large photo files created through Photoshop on my PC (and downloaded to iOS).

None of this is enough to take away a star from such a useful app.

### 5/5 — Extremely helpful

*2014-03-04, version 3.7*

I noticed the new version had no ratings and I thought id start the trend to demonstrate the helpfulness of this app. For me, I simply needed the exact times, dates, and locations which I took a series of photographs, and this worked beautifully to tell me, with more accuracy than anything built into the phone. I'm not so concerned with f stop, etc as on an iPhone that info is pretty useless and for my slr shots I can access exif info through Photoshop. But for a quick and easy way to see when and where you snapped a shot down to the second, this is perfect!
