### 3/5 — Lacking features

*2023-07-01, version 3.1.12*

It functions fine and is lightweight. You are unable to track custom text entries and it lacks proper tagging.

### 3/5 — Clean design, but a little buggy

*2019-07-06, version 2.0.1562204127*

Using the app is pleasant and intuitive, but when I click the 'Review' tab, it crashes.

### 4/5 — One mood per day? Goals we don’t set?

*2019-06-04, version 2.0.1559006682*

Love the app.

Wish i could record more than one mood per day. Like most people, I have more than one mood per day. Averages don’t work for me. (If I’m 1 in the morning and 5 in the afternoon, a 3 misrepresents my day. I was never a 3 that day.)

Also, the app has an algorithm that sets your “goals” for you. Neither you nor any other human being sets your “goals.” The app’s “goals” for you might be interesting and helpful, but they simply aren’t real “goals” under any reasonable definition of that concept. If you’d like to set a goal for yourself, this app won’t let you keep track of it.

But great app. Really!

### 5/5 — Good so far...

*2018-12-08, version 2.0.1543362242*

This has a lot of potential to be my favorite app. The interface is great, far more pleasant that cobbling together my own tool out of a spreadsheet

### 5/5 — Makes sense of all my data

*2018-08-04, version 2.0.1720*

Really handy app to find correlations with health and activities. I’m using it mostly to find out what things in my life actually help me lose weight (activity, food nutrients, productivity, mood, etc).

### 5/5 — Great

*2018-08-04, version 2.0.1720*

Collects data across a bunch of sources, presents it nicely, and makes me feel fully in control the whole time

### 5/5 — 💯

*2018-08-04, version 2.0.1720*

Great app that pulls in all your intro from the various services you use, correlates it, and finds trends in your life. I love it and use it daily!

### 5/5 — Good work

*2018-07-29, version 2.0.1720*

New update is great

### 5/5 — Latest update nails it!

*2018-07-24, version 2.0*

I love the new summary screen. It makes the app much more useful.

### 5/5 — 100% recommended

I can recommend this app to the fullest to everybody who wants to bring together all the collected data and make use of it

### 5/5 — The app I use daily

*2018-05-21, version 1.10.23*

### 5/5 — A safe place to quantify yourself

*2018-04-14, version 1.10.21*

Take the data you passively generate and let Exist expose it to you. Really appreciate the iOS app.

### 1/5 — Warning

*2026-01-19, version 4.2.6*

Stay away from this app!

I subscribed to this app for three months and entered my credit card details on their website. Shortly after I canceled my subscription, I noticed three unauthorized, unknown charges on my account totaling €150. I had never used this card for online payments before. I spent a long time researching and considering whether these payments could have been caused by me.

If you want to use the app, which otherwise works well, it's better to use Apple's in-app purchase option.

To the developers: Please check the security of your payment service providers.

### 1/5 — Good idea but bad execution

*2025-12-29, version 4.2.6*

The idea behind this is brilliant but it’s not all the way there. The inferences are accurate sometimes but many times says things that are just blatantly not true.

### 1/5 — Credit Card Details Up Front !

*2025-02-04, version 3.4.1*

They grab your credit card details before you can even use the app. Not cool.

### 1/5 — Couldn’t even create a password

*2021-09-06, version 2.1.11*

Tried to sign up, but each password I used was too weak according to their standards - standards which they DON’T state or list. Just a vague “too weak”. Security is great, don’t get me wrong - just list the rules and don’t waste my time.

### 1/5 — Locked up on adding a tag

*2021-08-26*

Including after app restart

**Developer response:** Sorry you're having trouble! Since you've deleted your account already so I can't look into this issue for you but if you'd like to try Exist again, please feel free to get in touch about any issues you have and we'll be happy to look into them for you. Sorry for the hassle!

### 1/5 — Ridiculous password requirements

*2021-03-07, version 2.1.8*

I couldn’t get passed the ridiculous password requirements on sign up. Apparently a 17 character password including letters, numbers, and special characters is “too weak”.

### 1/5 — Mood rating broken

*2020-10-15, version 2.0.1602628841*

The dialog for mood rating is broken since the latest release.

### 1/5 — Usability lacking

*2020-07-14, version 2.0.1592778455*

I think there’s a tonne of improvement needed for the UX and the app generally feels a bit dated.

Some integrations aren’t working.

I have some concerns as to the predatory trial/sub approach even though you state it in a few places I still find it sneaky and easy to miss. It’s rare to find mobile app that charges this way, maybe the remnants of your Web app approach that needs adaptation to the mobile market. As a company that claims to pride themselves on openness, I find this approach somewhat hypocritical.

### 1/5 — no

*2016-01-22, version 1.4.6*

no

### 2/5 — Very slow, doesn't seem to update.

*2016-02-20, version 1.6.6*

While I like exist, it seems like my info takes forever to load. It is fixed, momentarily, if the app is redownloaded.

This is a real pain for doing the daily updates from the phone. Hope this is fixed shortly.

Other than that, this is an interesting service. I'll stick around for a bit to see what else is coming based on new app connections.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Nice app

*2026-05-11, version 4.2.11*

This app is lowkey underrated only found it through cahtgpt

### 5/5 — This is the one

*2024-06-05, version 3.2.7*

I tried them all before I learned about Exist. This app has been incredibly useful, serving me up some very interesting correlations within the first 30 days. Everything is on a day-level granularity, which prevents me from the trap of capturing too much information, and the use of customizable tags and attributes make it very powerful. There’s not a whole lot you can’t do here, you can have it track whatever’s important to you. Do read the set up instructions and FAQ, and the ethos of this company to never share any data ever with third parties. 30 day trial means there’s no downside. I’m a huge fan.

### 5/5 — Great

*2024-01-29, version 3.2.7*

Having used exist since 2017, I can 100% say I wouldn’t be without it!

Great app, great insights that get better as you gather more data.

### 5/5 — Best app for tracking health improvement.

*2023-08-18, version 3.2.1*

I just want to say thank you to the developers, this app has been so good to me. My apple watch will automatically sync a lot of my activities and right before bed time I will input my manual tracked attributes and its great! It has helped me realize that I am improving in my mental and physical health. It allows you to look back and see where you may need to focus in order to achieve your goals. Its great to have these insights. Recommend for anyone working on mental and physical well being and/or trying to kick a habit.

### 5/5 — Amazing, Life Changing App. Newest Updates Are Great

*2022-08-31, version 3.1.6*

This app can change your life. Don’t wait.

### 5/5 — I like the new custom attributes update

*2022-05-08, version 3.0*

Please keep working on features, well get multiple moods someday!

### 5/5 — Brilliant app

*2022-01-24, version 2.7.5*

I have been using the app & service for years. It’s the best tracking app I have found and I’ve tried loads. The range and depth of data that is collected together is fantastic. The insights and trend information is the best part - being able to view different insight comments each day gives you a great quick overview of how you’re doing. Then if you have more time you can dive into details about trends and correlations. Please keep developing it’s such a great app/service. It’s obviously a labour of love. Would be lovely to have an Apple Watch app too.

### 5/5 — Great for data nerds

*2022-01-06, version 2.5.1*

If u love to track everything and use integrations this app is awesome.

### 5/5 — Best Gyroscope Alternative

*2021-07-20, version 2.1.10*

It’s sad to see HelloCode selling Exist.io to me it’s better than gyroscope and a better and cheaper alternative. Brilliant work guys 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

### 5/5 — Great

*2019-06-12, version 2.0.1560242277*

Great app and service.

I mainly use the web version on computer but I use the app for tagging and mood.

Trends are a bit basic which is why I use web version.
