### 2/5 — The lobby safe won’t open!!!!! But thing is I 100% have the right code!!!! 😑

I think the mechanics in the game are broken or something as even though I have the right code (like I’m 100% certain I have the right code. I’m sure bc I checked with the hints and I checked with the walkthrough forum online, I checked with a video play through… I did the exact same thing… AND IT STILL WOULDN’T OPEN!!!!! I could even tell you the code and how to put it in to prove that SEE: the code is 0826 and you put it into the safe in the lobby in the following manner: set it to 0 counterclockwise to 8, clockwise to 2, counterclockwise to 6… the safe is ment to open when you put that in and it just isn’t NO MATTER WHAT I DO) I am putting the code in correctly I know bc again like I said, I checked multiple places to make sure I was putting it in correctly, and the safe in the lobby just won’t open!!!!!!!! what sucks is that I was really enjoying it but then it decided that it didn’t want to work even though I have the right code and I’m putting it in correctly!!!!!! I’ve tried exiting and reloading the game!!! I’ve tried making a new profile in the game and getting to that point again!!!!!!! I’VE EVEN TRIED UNINSTALLING AND REINSTALLING THE GAME AND STILL NO MATTER WHAT I DO IT REFUSES TO WORK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If the game devs are seeing this Please fix it!!!!! BECAUSE ITS A REALLY GOOD GAME BUT IF IT ISN’T GONNA WORK PROPERLY THEN I JUST CANT GIVE IT A GOOD REVIEW!!!!!…. I’m gonna try to report it as a bug somehow because it really sucks that the game isn’t working properly :(

Ich hatte zuerst die Prüfung des greifen gespielt, das ich sehr gut fand.
Nun noch vergleichbares gesucht und trotz „des Alters“ (des Spiels) nun dieses hier geladen.
Naja, für den Preis schon eine Frechheit. Meines Denkens nach sind manche Sachen einfach  „unlogisch“ - im „EXIT Game“ ergeben sie evtl. Sinn. Aber es ist auch einfach nur probieren/kombinieren,..
Es war halt der Vorgänger, dem sollte man sich bewusst sein.
Ich hoffe, die Entwickler nutzen den nun noch übertriebenen Preis, um ein neues EXIT zu entwickeln.

Vorab: Leider ist eine notwendige Website nicht mehr verfügbar, wodurch wir das dazugehörige Rätsel mit Hilfe von Google/Youtube lösen mussten.
Abgesehen davon wurden wir durch ein interessantes Abenteuer mit teils kniffligen, aber auch teils sehr schwammig formulierten Rätseln geführt. Die Einbindung von technischen Mechaniken wie bspw. das Drehen des iPads sowie den verschiedenen InGame-Tools boten jede Menge Abwechslung und brachten nicht selten eine freudige Erleuchtung. Ohne nennenswerte Erfahrung mit beendeten wir das Spiel mit einer Ingame Bewertung von 8/10 Sternen (bei 3 Rätseln benötigen wir alle 3 Hilfen, teils aus Blödheit). Zudem war leider meist nur der letzte Tipp hilfreich.
Leider kaum Wiederspielwert.

Entwickler: Bitte stellt eine Alternative für die Website zur Verfügung (bspw. Einbindung einer Notiz im Spiel selbst o. Ä.); so kann man leider nicht alle Rätsel aus eigener Leistung lösen.

I’m replaying this game - I played it first a long time ago - and it’s just not fun. The puzzles are hurting my brain - they are too complex and twisted, with obscure clues. It’s like the dev is trying to make the puzzles as hard as possible and has forgotten that they also need to be fun and solvable. I agree with what many other reviewers have said about this aspect of the game. Yes, the hints are there, but who wants to play a game where you have to use so many hints and don’t get to just play and feel good. 

It’s too bad because the game has a lot going for it - it’s pretty substantial with a good atmosphere and nice graphics. But the design of the puzzles just gets in the way. If they were just a couple of notches down in complexity it would be a whole different story. Don’t get me wrong - I don’t mean I want easy puzzles. I just want them to be more logical and have clues that are less obscure. 

For the record, I have the same criticism of their other game.

Ich hab das Spiel gekauft und mich Mega gefreut denn es ist nicht zu leicht und nicht zu schwer genau das richtige für zwischendurch allerdings bin ich beim Grammophon angekommen und die oberste der drei Schallplatten muss falschherum gedreht werden um das Rätsel zu lösen allerdings geht dies nicht die Schallplatte lässt sich weder drehen noch entfernen um sie neu einzusetzen. Somit kann ich leider nicht weiter spielen. Fehler bitte beheben dann gibt’s gerne 5 Sterne

JE suis fan de ce genre de jeu à énigmes et ambiance bizarre. 
Malheureusement, la résolution de certaines énigmes gâchent toute l’ambiance (attention spoiler : on doit de temps en temps sortir du jeu et ça gâche tout !) déjà que les graphismes sont très moyens et que le jeu est très court.

Un jeu très moyen et cher ! Trop cher.

I play any and all 3D puzzle/escape room games I come across and this one is not very fun. The puzzles are too much of a stretch with clues that aren’t very insightful. The answers to some of them make little sense. For example, why would the inverse of ^. be just a dot without the flipped ^? Some of the solutions require you to use things like the game’s SETTINGS to figure out. Too much of an attempt to be clever. The settings are not part of the story. Sorry, not a fan of this one and quit before completing.

We love puzzle games but some of this was nonsensical. Add in a broken mechanic which you can’t get past without using hints, and this was a frustrating experience.

I love anything by Glitch Games (Forever Lost), Fireproof Studios (The Room), Blue Brain Games (House of Da Vinci), CottonGame (Isoland), Lucasfilm Games (Tales of Monkey Island) & this game falls in that category. I hope the developer does more!

Wir spielen sehr gerne die EXIT-Brettspiele und haben auf gut Glück im App-Store nach solchen Spielen Ausschau gehalten.
Recht schnell sind auf das Spiel gestoßen und haben es mit großem Vergnügen gespielt.
Die Orte und Rätsel sind für unser Dafürhalten sehr gut dargestellt und umgesetzt.
Mit ein wenig Erfahrung und Verständnis für die Rätsel (welche man im Übrigen auch für die Brettspiele braucht) kann man die Rätsel lösen. Sollte es mal Hapern, sind die Hilfen gut strukturiert. Wie in den Brettspielen muss man auch hier halt sehr genau lesen, schauen und kombinieren. Das Rätsel mit dem Würfel ist allerdings etwas tricky :-)

Wir hoffen, dass es ausser dem 2. Teil der Reihe möglichst bald noch viele weitere Spiele dieser Art von USM geben wird und würden es absolut empfehlen.

Several other reviews critique this game’s difficulty—but in my view, that’s part of its charm.  So many games feature puzzles that are too simplistic, repetitive, or boring.  EXIT: Curse of Ophir, on the other hand, is not only creative but also UNIQUE.  This game will make you think, puzzle, explore, and use hints.  Just surrender to it: The hints are there, so use them.  Please support this game: If you’re an experienced puzzler or escape room fanatic, you'll really enjoy this game!

Versió digital del clàssic EXIT. Proposta que recorda als antics jocs d’aventures gràfiques, amb un punt de misteri i molta inventiva. Recomanat per a qui li agradin els escape rooms. La dificultat de les proves varia força, de tal manera que pot jugar tota la família. L’únic que es troba a faltar és més interactuació amb altres personatges. Bon joc.

Jeu beaucoup trop cher pour quelques énigmes tarabiscotées impossibles à résoudre sans les indices. On est à la limite de l’arnaque !. Progression très statique, seulement 3 ou 4 tableaux avec des graphismes très pauvres. Je regrette cet achat quand il y a des jeux équivalents à moins de 3 euros avec des énigmes bien meilleures et des graphismes beaucoup plus travaillés.

J’ai pourtant l’habitude des jeux de boîtes et autres « rooms » mais celui-ci est vraiment peu intuitif et beaucoup trop compliqué !
Je ne ferai pas la suite, cela ne présente aucun intérêt.
Quel est le but d’un jeu si cela n’est pas faisable sauf à regarder tout le temps des indices ?

This game is hard only because the designers don’t provide enough information to try and solve the puzzles.  Even if you use all the clues, the clues themselves are impossible to decipher. It’s like a bunch of super engineering nerds sat around and came up with puzzles only hey could solve with their own training.

Dieses Spiel habe ich mir heruntergeladen, nachdem ich schon diverse Escape-Room-Spiele gespielt hatte. Dazu gehören „The Room 1-4“ und „House of DaVinci 1&2“.
Positiv anzumerken ist die Story des Spiels. Jedoch sind die Rätsel nicht wirklich ausgeklügelt und oft nicht ohne Hinweise lösbar. Das liegt unter anderem auch daran, dass diese nicht wirklich logisch sind oder man zu sehr um die Ecke denken muss. Zudem ist die Spieldauer kurz, die Anzahl an Räumen und Rätseln und die damit verbundene Komplexität der Handlung bzw des Spiels wirklich zu simpel. Man kann in den Räumen nur einfach navigieren, sich nicht umschauen etc. Die Rätsel beziehen sich auch kaum aufeinander. 
Die oben genannten Spiele kosten jeweils genau so viel, bieten dabei viel ausgeklügeltere Rätsel und verschiedene Stationen.
Im Vergleich ist es seine knapp 6€ nicht wert. Ich war am Ende wirklich enttäuscht und würde mir so nicht noch ein Exit Spiel herunterladen. 
Den Entwicklern empfehle ich „The Room“ (das 4. ist grandios) zu spielen, damit sie einen Vergleich haben und auch sehen können, was alles möglich ist.

I bought this App and it was a total waste of money. I work out the puzzles, try to put the solution in and it just doesn’t work. Clues confirm I am right but still doesn’t work.

I have played about 20 of the boxes Exit games, and this game was similar in the problem solving required. The game does a good job of ramping up the difficulty of the puzzles, and removing items once they are finished being used. The puzzles were usually straightforward to understand, but I did need help with a couple of them, so don't be afraid to use hints or go online to get support if you get stuck. Story was clever and interesting. If you enjoy the Exit games, and have done at least a few of them successfully, then I think you would enjoy the app version.

ein klasse Exitgame - geht auch ohne Schere und Falten. Die Rätsel sind knackig aber lösbar und die Geschichte hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Auch die Einbindung anderer Medien ist eine super Idee. Leider kann man die Musik nicht gesondert ausschalten. Das könnte verbessert werden. So dass man die anderen Spielgeräusche ohne Musik hat.

Wir spielen in der Regel die Exit Varianten Fortgeschritten oder Profi und waren hier einige Stunden beschäftigt.
Wir dachten, dass uns das schneiden/reißen/basteln fehlen würde, es gab allerdings eine überzeugende Alternative. Und die digitale Suche nach Hinweisen war genauso zufriedenstellend, wie in der analogen Version. Gerne mehr davon!
