### 4/5 — I like it- may have saved a few people

*2022-01-02*

1) I surf in waters where big sharks hunt
1.) my friend’s kids were in the water at El Capitan when they got out because they saw a fin. The dad told them to get back out there because he was sore it was a dolphin. He had the app and looked just for fun and sure enough Poe Girl the 17 ft shark had pinged in the bay. Everyone got out of the water. A couple weeks later a bit north a guy was killed by a shark. And the same one was in that area
2) cool little animations of where each tagged shark has traveled and each point it registers has its time of year 3) seeing the animation was pretty cool as the shark I was most concerned about makes an incredible journey… but for now has parked it’s 17 ft self near one of my favorite spots
3) would be nice to have all the sharks but that’s not gonna happen. This is Pacific Ocean specific

### 3/5 — Fun but glitches

*2021-01-14*

My son and I loved this app. We found favorite sharks and would love tracking where they were. The newest update has caused the images and videos to cease to be viewable which we are so sad about. If the kinks could work out it’s really an interesting app.

### 2/5 — Disappointed

*2020-07-16*

I got this so for my son who loves sharks! We wanted to see that they travel the world but the only sharks that are on this app are on the coast of California....

### 3/5 — Awesome but needs WORK!

*2019-06-17*

Ok I love sharks and I think it’s amazing that you can track them.

The Good- I love that the profiles and info about that sharks are detailed. The video feature is awesome it’s let’s you see these beautiful creatures and really get a sense of there size etc.

The Bad- My notifications are on and everyday I get about a dozen ping notifications.
Only problem Is when you click on the motivation it DOESN’T take you to the shark that actually pinged.
So there I am looking at a screen with 12 shark fins on it and I’m like ok guess it’s time to play the memory game.
Also I live on the east coast at the sharks ping on the west coast. I get that this is probable west coast people who made it, but I would be cool if you guys could also data from sharks all over. Like my other shark tracker.

Like I said awesome app but needs work!

### 2/5 — Limited

*2018-07-27*

Appears to be tracking only a handful of sharks, mostly off the coast of Southern California. Not much to see. With so little content, this should be a free app, if even that.

### 2/5 — Expedition white shark

*2018-07-26*

There is NOTHING on the entire Atlantic side except the migration track of a tiger shark from 2012. Six years ago! Nothing else. The Pacific side shows more sharks, but only minimal information and a migration track for each. This cost $4...a rip-off.

### 3/5 — I took the bait but this app has no bite.

*2018-07-22*

First I want to say, Its fantastic what this organization and its people are doing. I wanted to support the app creator and wanted to learn about their lives because it looked like it could potentially could be exciting. However this app is not swimming in that direction. It is basically all static images with no animation, no video, no interviews, no pictures of the sharks being actually tagged by the marine biologist? This is not a 4 dollar app but 99 cents for what it currently is.

Overall its map with shark fins on it that show you info about the shark and its location and some other stuff that will frenzy you into lack of interest; for me that was within 4 minutes.

I commend the app programmer for doing this but please think of the people that buy it. They want to be excited and be pulled into the oceans and sharks and its people that are part of it.

### 4/5 — Great app.

*2017-10-06, version 2.1*

Great app to see where the shirts are hanging out. It’s very interesting, and you can see what is going on during the different persevere with the sharks. They need to tag more sharks.

### 1/5 — Need to call it project mako shark

*2016-06-23, version 2.1*

I installed the app to watch movement of great white sharks, not makos

### 2/5 — Not worth it

*2016-06-08, version 2.1*

I didn't have to buy it since I downloaded it during shark week. I would've never pay for it since nothing is updated true to date and time.

### 3/5 — Love up until now

*2015-08-05, version 2.1*

I enjoy checking out the shark locations daily but they don't seem to move much and then suddenly they are somewhere different or disappear. Today a great white kimmel I noticed was swimming on land in Mexico but earlier today was in the Pacific Ocean. Hmmmm. great app idea tho just wish it worked better

### 1/5 — Fail

*2015-02-14, version 2.1*

Total scam, nothing is updated and I was stoked to learn their live locations . I want my $4 back, this is lame. Don't waist your money.

### 2/5 — Buggy

*2014-10-23, version 2.1*

Would be better if this app didn't constantly crash. Not worth the $4, IMO.

### 1/5 — Not worth it.... hasn't been updated for years

*2014-08-28, version 2.1*

Do not buy this.

### 1/5 — Crap

*2014-08-25, version 2.1*

Complete ripoff. Most of the sharks positions on the tracker haven't been updated in months or even years.

### 1/5 — Lame

*2014-06-20, version 2.1*

Old info, sharks never move....save your money

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2022-12-13*

This app costs money and it’s not worth it. After buying abd downloading it, I found that the satellite pings show the sharks to be on land. The only “land sharks” I know of were on SNL! It’s clearly not accurate. I recommend OCEARCH app. It’s free and it’s quite accurate. Not only is their app good, but I’m sold on their work. I plan to donate to them soon!

### 1/5 — Won’t open

*2021-02-23*

App won’t open anymore. Sad

### 1/5 — 8 sharks in the Northern Pacific?

*2021-02-07*

Could you also include the record number of sharks tagged in 2020 off the California coast specifically Santa Barbara and San Diego?
That would make the price of the app worthwhile and make the app extremely useful.

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work- serves down?

*2020-06-15*

I’ve had this app for a couple days & haven’t been able to access any information. I get an error message- “No connection. Unable to refresh the sharks from the sever”.

### 1/5 — No Atlantic info

*2019-08-19*

There is nothing reported on the Atlantic side. Definitely not worth spending money on.

### 1/5 — No east coast coverage

*2019-08-03*

Bought this to track sharks in my area near Massachusetts but there is no coverage on the east coast

### 1/5 — Awful

*2019-07-06*

Do not download. The images of shark fins are from 2016. This is definitely not in real time. It also looks like it is only showing sharks on the west coast in 2016. I bought this app to track sharks while I was on vacation. Waste of money, I wish they would refund me.

### 1/5 — Where are the sharks ??

*2019-06-15*

Only one shark is shown on the east coast of the USA and its not even a great white
On your description it should say that only the west coast has any relevant data to make this paid for app worth anything

### 1/5 — Waste of money

*2018-09-09*

Good idea but extremely poor content. Only 6 sharks are being monitored and followed... quite a deception as I was expecting clearly more

### 1/5 — Eh

*2018-07-23*

Love sharks, but this shows locations from sharks some of them from upwards of 5 years ago. Definitely a pretty shoddy app. Wish I didn’t pay for it and instead just donated to a Shark conservation agency.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Spectacular!

*2020-04-18*

I really love this app! It’s so cool to see where the sharks have been. It’s also really great that you can sponsor sharks on this app! I would most definitely recommend for people who love sharks, like I do.🦈♥️

### 5/5 — Amazing animals

*2019-07-02*

I find it so interesting to see where the sharks have been in a given time period by selecting the tracking option. You can enter the time period you would like to see for a selected animal. It’s amazing the distances these sharks can cover. Thank you for sharing this data with the general population by creating the app.

### 5/5 — Great for West Coasters

*2018-07-28*

I live in Los Angeles so it’s a lot of fun to keep up with my local sharks. I just purchased it and receive lots of daily pings, which is teaching me a lot about local shark migration patterns. So much fun and inspires me to learn more about science and sharks....appreciate an app that expands my mind and connects me with the ocean.

### 5/5 — Really good app!

*2018-07-23*

Not a lot of sharks being tracked, but when more sharks are added this app will be amazing!

### 5/5 — Cool App

*2013-08-08, version 2.1*

This is absolutely a great app. I love great whites and shark week so this app is probably the best thing on my phone!

### 5/5 — Best app

*2013-08-07*

This is a great app for shark cravers and shark week fans. The down part is that it only lasts for a few years! If it could last longer it would be the best app i own

### 5/5 — Awesome app to track and learn about Great Whites

*2013-08-07, version 2.1*

One of the cooler marine biology apps you'll find. Can track great whites and check out their profiles.

### 5/5 — Ha

*2013-08-07, version 2.1*

I came here because shark week brought me here

### 5/5 — Gorgeous Update!

*2013-07-17*

Wow - what a massive change! Love the new migration tracker, rich content and beautiful new look. Love sharks even more now!

### 5/5 — It is neat

*2012-08-14*

I actually love it think it's cool to see where these sharks are going. You definitely need to update it more I am giving you 5 stars because the idea of this app really is amazing and I live up in Vancouver Canada and was shocked to see how close the great white "Apache" really got to us. And it was the biggest male you ever recorded. Keep up the good work and please try and throw some more stuff in like maybe why some of them are heading more north is it because of our massive seal populations up here? But kind of weird to because the orcas we have up here don't even seem to hunt seals they're fish eaters but our orcas love human contact up here. It would be amazing to see if there is a great white up here. Should I throw a bucket of blood and maybe a friend I don't like into the water and see what happens? Lol
