Helps with my side hustle

I do some freelance work on the side and needed a simple way to track small payments and related expenses. I created a separate category just for that. It helps me see if I’m actually making a profit after buying supplies.

Response from developer

That's exactly the kind of use case we built Spendly for — keeping separate tracks without overcomplicating things. Glad it's helping you see the real profit on your freelance work!

Tracking cash is less messy

I still use cash a lot and it used to disappear without me noticing. Now whenever I spend cash, I quickly add it in. Seeing the running total makes me think twice before small impulse buys at coffee shops.

Response from developer

Cash is easy to lose track of, so we made adding it as quick as possible. That "think twice before buying" effect is exactly what a running total should do. Thanks for sharing!

Monthly bills in one place

I have several small subscriptions and utility bills, and I tend to lose track of them. Now I record each payment as soon as it’s charged. It’s nice to scroll back and see everything in one list instead of guessing where my money went.

Response from developer

Subscriptions and utility bills are exactly what that list view is for — no guessing, just a clear record of where everything went. Really glad it's working for you!

Keeps trips spending clear

I used it during a weekend trip with friends. Every time I paid for gas or food, I added it quickly so I wouldn’t forget later. When I got home, I could clearly see how much the trip actually cost me, which was super helpful.

Response from developer

A weekend trip is a perfect use case — quick adds in the moment, clear picture when you get home. Happy it made the total so easy to see. Thanks for the review!
