Items with a document photo appear as clear cards. Tap a card and the document opens full screen with the brightness turned all the way up — show it at a counter without digging through your gallery. Hold and drag to reorder the cards, and optionally lock the whole tab behind your fingerprint or face. New: Monthly summary Once a month you get a single heads-up with everything that expires that month — the whole picture at a glance, without opening the app. A cleaner, clearer look The header and the screens with a top bar now have a subtle frosted glass, with content sliding smoothly beneath it. We also fixed scanning — the Done button no longer covers the shutter, and you get a gentle tap when a photo is taken. The app is faster and smoother overall. ### 1.6.1 — 2026-08-04 A clearer home screen The header is cleaner and simpler, with quick access to search and settings. Lists are now smoother and faster even with lots of items, and categories expand instantly. We also fixed sharing — receipt photos and backups now share reliably (before, sometimes nothing happened). Plus lots of small visual refinements. ### 1.6.0 — 2026-07-08 New home screen widget Expi now shows your upcoming expirations right on your home screen — without opening the app. You see the name, date and days remaining, color-coded by how urgent it is (red, orange, yellow, green). Tap it to jump straight into the app, to that item. The small widget is free. The larger widgets, which show several items at once plus an overview of what's most urgent, are part of Expi Plus. Photos are intentionally not shown in the widget — for privacy. We also fixed how the Expi Plus expiry date appears in Settings — it now shows in full and clearly. ### 1.5.0 — 2026-07-01 Expi is now 100% on-device. No account, no sign-in, no cloud — all your documents and document photos stay only on your phone, encrypted (AES-256-GCM). • No sign-up — the app works right away • Your documents never leave your device • OCR runs locally, offline • Backup = an encrypted .expi file you control Your privacy isn't a setting.
