I’m not sure the design is keeping up with the growing complexity of the Beijing metro, though. Interchange stations are sometimes hard to read (text often crosses awkwardly over lines); the station names have some spacing irregularities; and now some names slant in funny, non-design-compliant directions. I think rather than squeezing more lines into an existing design, the developer might find it worthwhile to redesign the map from scratch, to better accommodate the denser web of stations? Easy for me to say though; I’m not a designer. Also, agree that station exit maps are essential and need to be clearer and more informative in this app, for it to fulfill its potential. Now the developer issued app for free and now requests more money to get functionality my paid version used to have. There is no restore purchase or recognition that I did pay for it. For example Line 15 now extends west beyond Wangjing West, but this app has line 15 stopping there. ### 1/5 — False Advertising *2012-10-05* Rating 1 star (can I do zero stars?) for false advertising; I want my $2.00 back. "Everything works offline" is not true. I want subway exits offline -- the only reason I bought this app. However, to do this you must have network access. Google Maps data is not licensed from Google, instead the app just networks in Google Maps when needed to see subway exits. No network, no maps. The built-in maps from OpenStreetMaps do NOT have subway exits marked.
