Huge thanks for the makers of this app! ### 4/5 — Good stuff *2011-08-15* Useful and intuitive - better than the MTRs own app by far. ### 4/5 — Up-to-date fares, convenient travel planner *2011-05-06* Hong Kong's MTR isn't the most complicated transit system in the world, but for a couple of bucks it's convenient to be able to plan travel times, etc. As of this review (May 2011), the most recent version provides accurate fare information. The link to Google Maps is also quite useful, especially since it's often important to know which exit to use. Unlike the NY Subway, the MTR's stations are often deep underground, with multiple far-flung exits -- for short trips, walking to the platform can sometimes take longer than the actual train ride. Google Maps shows the precise location of each exit. The app doesn't provide detailed schedule information. Trains on most lines run pretty frequently anyway, but it does mean that users should view the travel times as just estimates. The basic MTR network map and trip planner work offline. The Google Maps link requires a data connection, which is not a problem in the MTR (although for visitors to HK, you'll of course need a local SIM and data plan). What would be super-helpful is an enhanced version of the app covering other forms of HK transit as well -- the buses and ferries here are a much bigger challenge, especially for visitors, than the MTR. ### 4/5 — Ok but not the best *2011-03-02, version 2.5* This is an awesome app. However, I think it should supply a list of train times at every station. Not just the 1st train time and last train time. But the entire schedule. It's not very efficient to show up at the station only to see the train leave and have to wait for another 10 minutes cuz I didn't have the actual train time. The route planner facility has saved us so much forward planning it has been well worth the purchase price just for this alone! Comments to the developer....we need a Tokyo version now ready for our trip in March 2025.....pretty please!!! Thanks in advance 😝 ### 5/5 — Best Metro App especially for China *2024-01-21* It’s really a great app. I live in China for many years traveling many cities and use different of these apps. They are all very up-to-date and detailed with all necessary information. Plus you can easily switch from Chinese to English and English to Chinese without changing the content so it’s easy to show even a local person where you want to go or what’s the name of the metro-station in Chinese and the best they also have a website so you can see all the content as well on your PC in the browser. Just great💪.
