Since this is a walking tour, and NYC is so vast, I chose to focus on the one specific area, Lower Manhattan, with the most historical sights. This tour is about 3 1/2 miles long and covers 16 sights. True, there are endless sightseeing options in New York - but it would be hard to see them all on foot. It shows you many of the sights on the tip of Manhattan, including Federal Hall and Wall Street. The tour doesn't take you to the Statue of Liberty, but does give you tips on how you can see it from the free ferry (much faster, if you're short on time like we were). We got to see a lot of Manhattan in just 4 hours, which was perfect. We did make 9/11 Memorial reservations in advance and we did the 'drive by' Statue of Liberty ferry instead of the full-day tour, both of which the app recommended.
