## What is Explore360?

Explore360 turns your iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro into a window onto the world — a curated collection of stunning 360° panoramas from Wikimedia Commons, the free media repository, shared under open licences by photographers around the globe. Step inside each scene and look around in every direction, from mountain summits and historic town squares to sweeping coastlines, grand interiors, and city streets at night.

Browse beautifully

• GeoGame: start a game straight from a FaceTime call — no need to share a panorama first.
• GeoGame: more reliable start and reconnect — a game now opens for everyone on the first try (even right after reconnecting), and if you drop out you come back with your place and score.
• GeoGame: fairer scoring for players who join a game late, and the host is now shown correctly for everyone after a takeover.
• GeoGame: player colors now match across every device — scoreboard, podium and reveal map.

### 1.5 — 2026-07-14

Neu: eigene Community-Panoramen, mehr Straßenansichten und GeoGame – das Multiplayer-Ratespiel.

• Community – melde dich an und lade deine eigenen 360°-Panoramen hoch: mit Titel, Beschreibung und Ort auf der Karte. Alle können sie durchstöbern, liken und melden – und du entscheidest, ob andere sie sichern dürfen.
• Startblick festlegen – schau im Vorschaubild dorthin, wo andere zuerst hinsehen sollen, und tippe auf „Als Startblick".
• Straßenansicht – jetzt auch mit von Nutzerinnen und Nutzern beigetragenen 360°-Fotos: Berggipfel, Wanderwege, Innenräume und Orte, an denen nie ein Kamerawagen war. Sie erscheinen als Punkte und Linien auf der Abdeckungs-Ebene, genau dort, wo du den Pin setzt.
• Favoriten – markiere einen Ort in der Straßenansicht mit dem Herz: Er landet als eigene Quelle in Liste und Karte, sortierbar nach Auflösung und Datum, und synchronisiert über deine Geräte.
• Liste – die Sortierrichtung lässt sich jetzt umdrehen (neueste/älteste, beliebteste zuerst) und neu nach Auflösung sortieren (höchste oder niedrigste zuerst).
• GeoGame – starte im Teilen-Tab ein Multiplayer-Ratespiel: Alle landen an derselben zufälligen Straßenansicht und setzen einen Pin – wer am nächsten am echten Ort ist, gewinnt. Mit 3-2-1-Start, Live-Timer, Ergebniskarte, animiertem Punktestand und Sieger-Podest mit Konfetti.

### 1.4 — 2026-07-12

Neu: Straßenansichten auf Straßenhöhe, eine smartere Karte und Panoramen sichern.

• Straßenansichten – setze einen Pin auf der Karte und tauche in die 360°-Ansicht auf Straßenhöhe ein: per Doppeltipp weiterlaufen oder zu einem zufälligen Ort springen. Optional in voller Auflösung für gestochen scharfe Details.
• Karte – nach einem Ort suchen oder mit einem Tipp auf deinen Standort zentrieren.
• Panorama sichern – das ganze 360°-Bild (bis 16k) oder einen eingerahmten Ausschnitt in Fotos oder Dateien sichern; jetzt auch für Wikimedia-Commons-Fotos.
• Gemeinsam sichern – in einer geteilten Session entscheidet der Host, ob andere sichern dürfen; und das aktuelle 360° mit einem Tipp mit allen teilen.
• Eigene Panoramen im Lokal-Tab nach Name oder Datum sortieren.
• Mac: Bilddateien direkt auf den Lokal-Tab ziehen zum Importieren.

### 1.3 — 2026-07-04

New: street-level views, a smarter map, and saving panoramas.

• Street-level views – drop a pin on the map and step into the 360° view at street level: double-tap to walk forward, or shuffle to a random spot. Optionally in full resolution for much sharper detail.
• Map – search for a place, or tap to center on where you are.
• Save a panorama – keep the whole 360° image (up to 16k) or a framed region to Photos or Files; now works for Wikimedia Commons photos too.
• Save together – in a shared session the host decides whether others can save; and share the view you're in with everyone in one tap.
• Sort your imported panoramas in the Local tab by name or date.
• Mac: drag image files straight onto the Local tab to import them.
