Does someone check the iOS app and see if it’s working properly? ### 2/5 — Terrible *2026-04-22* Where to start. Everything about this app is difficult. We say in a cafe for a hour watching the app say it was charging only to get back and find that no charge had taken place. In the help section on the app, could not get out of it. Could not get any information on what charging had supposedly taken place. When you’re in Grafton, with dodgy internet access, the last thing you want to do is muck around with emails and passwords. Guest charging with Apple Pay would be excellent. Once you have found your charging station from a very clustered map UI, the charging station stats are not fed through in real time. All the chargers are unresponsive. The worst charging app on the market. ### 1/5 — Beware if using this on flat rate! *2024-10-20* Unfortunately the experience has been dismal, it disconnected after only 8kwh and I could not continue, even though it was advertised as $20 flat rate per charging session. Requested refund through Help, was not helpful at all and tried to pass it on to the building manager. You'd be better off to go to Tesla Supercharger nearby in Albury. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Another unnecessary EV charging app *2026-07-01* Exploren is a perfect example of what is wrong with public EV charging in Australia. Nobody wants to download yet another single-network charging app just to use a charger. Chargefox RFID cards and roaming should be supported as standard. Forcing drivers to create another account, install another app, add another payment method, and deal with yet another interface is poor user experience and completely unnecessary. EV charging should be simple: plug in, tap an RFID card or card payment, and charge. Instead, Exploren adds more friction to an already fragmented charging network. Stop making EV drivers collect apps like Pokémon. Accept Chargefox RFID cards, enable proper roaming, or offer simple card payment at the charger. ### 1/5 — In able to open app., *2026-03-23, version 3.156.0* Having used app for months a few days ago I was unable to open app. I’ll use other charging systems. ### 1/5 — Broken *2026-03-19, version 3.156.0* Forced he to update app now doesn’t work. Bring on card payments.
