Therefore I cannot get into the app. Discriminatory against those trying to tighten up their security. What’s going on? ### 1/5 — Broken Trash App *2025-04-22, version 4.14.0* When banks use the features in a modern iPhone, like filling the username and password automatically, signing in using biometric authentication and passkeys (even Sony and Nintendo do these things) there’s no good reason a critical piece of national infrastructure like this app can’t. The APIs and all the rest are there to be used, to make customers happy and their accounts secure, with their needs quickly met. That there isn’t the bare minimum level of competence in this Medicare app in 2025 stops people using it, which hardly assists with the processing of valid claims. A remedy is overdue, and the inadequacy of the app harms all who need to use it. Complacency is no substitute for competence! No password vault integration. Password field doesn’t let you paste, essential if you use complex passwords in a vault. Medicare card seems to be available in MyGov but not sure if there is intended more functionality here. The latest version (4.0.1) doesn’t seem to allow me to open and view documents once attached though, which I found useful on older versions so that I could check they were readable before submitting. Other services like ATO app, Centrelink app and myGov app all support Face ID to login instead of typing your PIN. I have the multiple Medicare card, every time I login, I need one more step, which is enter the number I would love to login in. It is a little bit annoying. I hope that I can set up the default card setting in the app and not ask again and again when I login. 2. I've used for a couple of medicare rebate claims—that alone is a time saver. Also allows checking of claim history. And changed my bank details.
