Web Server

Is there any way you could make web servers over Wi-Fi another way to connect a 2nd display? Otherwise the app is great.

Hi there, If I understood your use case correctly, this is actually possible, if you slide down the control center and start screen mirroring to any AirPlay compatible device the app will actually detect it as an external screen. You can also do it directly from iPad too. If you wanna share more details at contact@qod.ee I’ll be happy to assist you more, and see if there’s something we can add to the app too, in order to make it better. Kind regards!

The only app that make your iPhone a full screen experience!

It was always a pain to connect my iPhone to an external display as it never used the whole screen, so I did some research and this came to the top of the search results.

ExternalDisplayBrowser Support is the only app I've found that does this: a proper full-screen experience, Samsung DeX-style, rather than a stretched copy of your phone. Plug into a USB-C hub at a desk and you get a real browser on the big screen, not a postage stamp!

I can see this as actually a usable setup when I have to hot-desk at work or in a hotel, rather than taking a laptop. I thought about buying an iPad mini, but I didn't want to carry two devices...and that's the exact reason buying this app is cheaper to me than a whole device, plus it means I can work seamlessly with one device.

Apple doesn't allow a full-screen mirroring experience on the iPhone, so this is the very best thing within the constraints we have. These days, most things can be done in a browser, and that's exactly what this ingenious app does - it gives you the full-screen browser experience.

Minor quirks: it's new, BUT that's the best time to buy this at a really good lifetime price.
Connecting a physical mouse or keyboard requires toggling settings off the accessibility app which are more menus, but I just think it’s a system limitation. And I think that’s the key. If you can understand the system limitations then you can see why so difficult to make an app like this.

Also, I’d love a way to import or edit bookmarks on the app. The dev has been super responsive and clearly committed to improving it.

Thank you so much for the kind review, and stay tuned, the app is being updated at a fast pace! :)

Just one more thing.

Original Review: “I want screen broadcasting as another way to share my screen, because I use Apowermirror which lets me see my iPad’s screen through my phone (with black borders.)” Edit: What I mean by this is that app (apowermirror) does not let me use airplay, and instead apple’s native screen broadcasting feature. If you could add the screen broadcasting feature on its own, as a separate option, that would be nice. Apowermirror is an app that lets me share my iPad screen to my iPhone screen or vice versa. Edit 2: Screen broadcasting is a separate feature from AirPlay or Apple’s native screen mirroring.

No free trial / preview

The in app payments are not amazing. Can’t try it without getting a trial week at 0.99 and then it shifts to 4.99 a week which is crazy considering the yearly is ~9. Would like a true free version maybe with a time limit per session to be able to test different workflows before committing. Otherwise very cool idea!

Response from developer

Hi there, Version 2.0 launched and massively expanded the app’s capabilities, and there is now a free trial enabled, so everyone can try the app before buying. Thanks for your feedback and thanks for appreciating the idea of the app. It’s a very complex and hard to crack concept but I’m happy when people appreciate it. The difference in the weekly-to-yearly ratio is due to currently applied discounts. The app just received a major update, but the lifetime and yearly prices are still discounted for awhile. If you’re using the app and have more suggestions you can always contact me at contact@qod.ee Kind regards!

Keyboard does not work.

I tried both the wired and Bluetooth keyboard. The app displays nice but can’t type. Keyboards work in other apps on the phone.

Response from developer

Hi there, The keyboard does work, please make sure you have followed onboarding for setting it up, and most importantly have this setting turned off: On your iPhone → Settings → Accessibility → Guided Access → OFF I’m happy to assist further at contact@qod.ee and would appreciate if you could give the app another try and revisit your review. [Update] There is now a special onboarding step, that you can access in the setup page too, which will guide you in the easiest way through troubleshooting the keyboard issues. Following those steps will fix any issues you might have had, but 99% of cases it's the setting I mentioned above. Kind regards!

Essential tool for Lectures & Study Sessions

This app is incredibly useful for education! I use it to display full-screen PDFs, articles, and videos from my iPhone onto a projector or external monitor. No more black bars or clumsy mirroring—just a clean, desktop-like browser for presentations. The ability to open files in tabs, use a mouse/keyboard, and block ads makes it a perfect, portable teaching or study tool. A must-have for any educator or student on the go.
