Whenever i try to use the sidecar, the screen either will go completely black or blue. I love the features they added and it keeps the game entertaining for a longer period of time. Hate it crashing so often and when it crashes, you don't get the coins or a new record (which I have died after going 20,000 [my previous was 19k]) or the achievements and it still counts the power-ups I use at the beginning so they are essentially wasted. Makes me PO'd. BTW it still says my record is 19,000 because I haven't been able to beat it since. ### 4/5 — Fun little game *2012-09-27, version 1.14* I tried this game on a whim for something different. I find myself playing it frequently when I have a few minutes free. I also think you should be able to earn more vehicles than only having the purchase option, but I did buy the vehicle pack and it is more fun. I am not a fan of ht splay to upgrade style games as I grew up with the original Atari game system and original Nintendo system. ### 5/5 — So fun *2012-09-26, version 1.14* Update! Still love this game! I always find my self going back to it. Im hoping more vehicles will be added and the devs are still into it!! Plus more detailed stats would be nice. Like how well each car does on certain maps. But this app is high class 5 star all the way. Worth the $ to unlock all the cars and bikes. Super fun. Only wish u could rest all yer scores in game or at least have an option to see how each car did on each map, rather then one score for each. Other then that, flawless!! I hope they roll out new cars and maps! ### 5/5 — Won't open *2012-04-26, version 1.11* This game is great. Espicially with all of the cars(which I purchased). But now since the recent update the app won't open anymore. I have the second gen ipod touch with 3.1 software. With worked great until the update. Please fix this. This game is fun. I tryed to delete the app and reinstall it to see if it works but it didn't. Please fix this in the next update. ### 5/5 — SO ADDICTIVE!! *2012-04-22, version 1.11* This is a game you can play for a minute or two or much longer I've been playing this for months now, swearing I'll put it down, but I can't for long. It's so dang much fun seeing how far you can get without crashing ... And you get farther and farther. I have no idea what that person meant about glitches. I've never seen one and I've been playing since it came out. ### 4/5 — Good game, fun *2012-04-16, version 1.10* I like the game. It's fun! Interested to see where it goes from here. Couple of suggestions though(and this is why it's not 5 stars): when you land successful tricks, this should replenish your gas. Also, when you run out of gas, the game should be over. As of now, there is no penalty; you just keep driving like there is gas. Please fix and this will be 5 stars. ### 5/5 — Where's the Buick? Great! *2012-04-02, version 1.10* I enjoy this a lot! It is really addictive, even though it's under appreciated. Also, where is the station wagon? A road master is THE classic road trip car! Sorry kids! Wally world is closed! Also, I want to drive these: SUV, generic pickup truck, limo, tank, skateboard, rocket-car, and a minivan. Also, consider new stages! Get this great game while it's free! Wait!! One more thing. I blew all of my money getting every car and bike, then trucks come along and I have to buy those! You should make it so owners of the complete game get the updates! ### 5/5 — Amazing little free game *2012-03-15, version 1.10* From the first time I loaded this game I couldn't stop I actually had to be pulled away from my iPad! This game is so much fun the art design went in very well into this game and the music is like an amazing retro game orchestra. I don't even know what say it's so awesome!!!!!!! if you buy this game you'll LOVE IT!!!!!!  Espicially if you are a little boy about 7 years old that has an Itouch. My brother was the one who showed me this game. He kept LAUGHING AND LAUGHING while me and my mom were playing Monopoly. That's when I said " What are you playing?" and he said " Extreme Road Trip." ### 4/5 — I don't like that u have to buy everything that u want to unlock. Those should be achievements. *2011-12-28, version 1.7* But other than that, I think the game itself is very cute. It's free. Can't beat that. I know that there should be some features to purchase, but everything? C'mon... That's a bit much. I haven't seen any defects in the game either. It seems to be working fine. :) ### 5/5 — Awesome *2011-12-14, version 1.7* Just downloaded the new Bike Update and love it! This has got to be one of the best FREE games ever! I usually don't write reviews on updates but I felt like I had to for this one! Out of all the bikes, the Speedster feels the best! I would just like one little thing in a future update, the ability to change the color of the vehicles. Oh and maybe one more! The ability to customize your vehicle with parts from other Unlocked vehicles! Example, swap out the wheels on The Mini with the Monster Truck Wheels! Keep up the great work guys! ### 5/5 — Stupidly Good *2011-10-28, version 1.5* This update is fantastic, and picking up the new vehicles (bouncy cop car is a blast) was a no-brainer. The four parallax backgrounds are slick and in the style of a more detailed Tex Avery. A top-notch title has been made even better and more varied. Purchasing the other vehicles is highly recommended, as varying wheelbases, ride heights, and weight add tons of variety to the gameplay. It's also just a nice way to show your appreciation for the hard work of the developers and their generosity in giving you a FREE game. If you dock stars because paying money for things upsets you, please eat a bullet. If you give a one star review because the graphics have changed slightly, you shouldn't be reviewing games. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Easy peasy lemon squeaky *2016-11-20, version 1.18.1* This is easy all you half to do is hit the break and then you put a rock on the break then oil up the gas pedal then pull it up the take off the rock from the gas pedal and your all set ### 1/5 — New Locations Are Great, But v1.4 Update is Severely Lacking *2011-10-18, version 1.4* Right off the bat, there are a bunch of things I see that need to be fixed--pronto. Once these are addressed, I will definitely increase my rating back to 5 stars. In order of importance: (1) For players like myself who purchased "The Four Pack" of cars in the first version, the three newly added cars should be free. (2) There should be more than ONE music "track". Make it user-selectable, or at least use a different track for each location. One track was fine for version 1.0, but I expect more with an update. (3) The high scores for each car should be separate for each location. These aren't a big enough deal to warrant a decreased rating, but still need to be mentioned: (4) I completed all 19 achievements quite a while ago. Could we have more? (5) For what it's worth, I preferred the original font. ### 1/5 — Disappointing update... *2011-10-18, version 1.4* I used to be absolutely addicted to this game. It was fun and challenging, which kept it from being boring. When I saw there was an update with new settings, I eagerly updated it. I so wish I hadn't. The new update makes the game easier, so it's not as fun. The graphics, previously good, now look like they were drawn by a four-year-old. I wish there was a way to go back to the old edition-can you maybe add an option to go back to classic mode? I'd forego the new settings and cars in the blink of an eye if it meant I could have my old game back. Sorry to leave such a scathing review but I truly am quite bummed that now that I've updated I can't go back. ### 1/5 — No class. *2011-10-12, version 1.3* Great, a new update with cool new cars! But wait, even though I popped $2.99 (or whatever it was) to unlock all the cars in the old version, you're asking me to pay again to unlock these three new ones? Way to spit in the face of the people who supported your game from the beginning, guys. Ultimately I'd be paying $5 for full use of an app that is worth nowhere near that much. Take a hint from a game like Angry Birds that charges you $0.99 once and gives you free updates forever. And the graphics in the new version look awful. I play on an iPad, and the difference is painful. ### 2/5 — Weeeeeeee *2016-11-13, version 1.18.1* Fun fun fun! ### 2/5 — Price of upgrade is a rip off *2011-10-20, version 1.4* I'm very disappointed with the latest release. First, the cartoon-style graphics are not as nice as the previous version. I'd rather have the one level of the previous version than these four cartoon scenes. Second, the $2 for the original set of upgraded cars was a joke. There was no where near enough difference in handling characteristics to make it worth the price. Third and final, there are better games on the market for $2. Not giving the new cars to buyers of the previous set is a rip-off. Bottom Line - The game is addicting and fun, but don't spend a dime on it. ### 3/5 — Decent game *2011-10-25, version 1.4* The game is ok. The level designs seem almost identical with little differences between them. You only get ONE car. It's not like you can level up and get more. No you have to buy them as if the game was that awesome. Most of the cars are too similar in game play to spend money on. Also, there is one free car given only if you like them on Facebook. Overall it's an alright game. But it seems like they want people to write awesome reviews and spend money on vehicles when it's really not worth it. Suggestion: make the vehicles winnable and also for purchase. Change the background(s) to be something indifferent. And make each vehicle unique. ### 3/5 — Disappointed about update *2011-10-13, version 1.3* I liked the old look better, now looks cartooney... I'm also disapointed that I lost the 4x4 because I do not use Facebook either. Had new cars that required more purchase which is OK I guess but a little disappointing. I do not mind the new scenes I just wish they had kept the original also. The following is my comments before the update when I gave a 5 star rating. I've wasted more time on this game than I care to admit! It's very addicting once you really get the car going. One free car with the ability to buy all of them for only $2 with no extra cost seemed like a fair way to try it before you buy it. I would like to see in future versions different environments including a moon version so you could bounce around a lot more and fly higher. Great Job on making a fun game.  ### 3/5 — was awesome please fix *2011-10-11, version 1.3* this game was awesome it quickly became one of my favorite iPhone games. I've been saying for weeks that they need to add more content. well they did. unfortunately it deleted my old scores. I'm unable to purchase the new vehicle pack as of now. and they dumbed down the graphics. yes new content is usually always great that is if you can even get it.
