Their customizable skateboards are enhanced with their Exway mobile app that allows you to tweak its electronic skateboards like no other on the market today. 4 Stars is my grade, I have been asking to either provide similar features like the RIDE app or make it compatible with the RIDE app. Then 5 stars will be my new grade. ### 4/5 — Great board, great app *2018-08-24, version 1.3* Love my Exway and the configurability through the app is a great feature that I have used a lot. Overall app is easy to figure out and works well. Having the manual and tips in the app is a nice bonus. Besides the parameters and gear changing while moving, cruise control, and setting the accelerator to go into reverse when pulled back on, THAT’s IT. ### 1/5 — EXWAY FLEX *2020-08-16, version 1.5.4* Just got the flex a couple of days ago. Tried changing settings on the app Unfortunately settings or changes to acceleration curve, and brake curve doesn’t transfer to board and remote as well as other settings except for one. I max everything out on gear 1 and 2 to see if changes will atleast transfer and both still says 6mph and 13mph. Only change that worked was safe mode. Will try to delete and reinstall the app to see if it works. Maybe just a bug or just needs to be uninstalled. hopefully will be fixed. ### 2/5 — Massive Connectivity Issues *2025-01-15, version 1.8.1* It worked for a day. Then, it stopped connecting on my brand new iPhone. I had to delete and download again. The same problems I have not managed to overcome. Sadly, other users reported the same problem but the app owners didn't seem to care to fix it. Send feedback from the app does not work either 🙄At least the electric E. This was meant for the Feedback tab in the app, but that does not work too ### 2/5 — App needs more work *2020-11-15* Would be great to have GPS tracking and total trip tracking that lets you know top speed, total mileage per trip, average speed, vertical climb etc. ### 2/5 — 1 ride Doesn’t work *2020-06-22, version 1.5.4* Rode the board for 7 miles 1st time riding it... doesn’t wanna charge anymore. ### 3/5 — Where are the features? *2024-09-26, version 1.8.1* Allows for very limited adjustments, safe mode on off and time period minimum 2 hour and 4 choices between that and several days, cruise control setting on off, gear change while in motion on off, and free mode on off which allows for board to move in reverse when holding the thumb wheeel to reverse position, it doesn’t indicate if the is affects the braking or whether it engages in reverse after the board has come to a complete stop through regen braking and doesn’t indicate in which gear reverse will operate, id hate to be cruising in gear 4 at 40km/h and go to use the brake and have the motors try to spin in reverse with 4th gear thrust sending me flying. Does it only engage at full braking position or will it begin as I feather the brake control? Additionally I wanted to reset custom acceleration curves for the various gears ramping 4th gear slightly more to reach peak power slower and increasing the lower gears to reach peak power quicker but I can’t find this advertised setting anywhere. Why do these $1500 boards not come with any simple LED under lighting or headlight features, additionally there should be mounting accessories packaged with these for go pros, gimbals gps locator module in the event of theft. TPMs for tire pressure in the app, these are very inexpensive sensors that could easily be adddd to board both neo 6m gps module and tpms valve stem sensors that would much more easily justify the price of the board by adding features, the under lighting is also dumb cheap to add and would raise the perceived value of the product a few hundred dollars easily, modular 12v or preferably with buck converter for variable voltage with led readout on topside hotshoe mounts over the trucks on the top side of board with various adapters and accessories being included or available for purchase including things like tripod mount screw, GoPro mounts, hotshoe headlight to be powered by skateboard battery from either exway or 3rd party vendors would be great. Hotshoe with removable cover and or hotshoe switch is a huge win over all competitors so customers may add a variety of customizable modular upgrades and devices for whatever they need, a telescoping selfie stick to record rides, A gps locator for theft, a headlight for night rides, turn signals for city riding, go pro mount for boards eye view of ride. All with the option to receive their power from the board battery or an individual device battery like in case of a go pro etc. there’s a million and one things that could be done and then you could control the hotshoe from app along with lighting accel curves and other settings. This is basic stuff I thought would have already been included with my $1500 board. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Perfect app for a perfect board *2023-05-07, version 1.8.1* Got an Atlas 4wd. I own 10 other boards, hands-down Atlas is the best. They are surely bound to become the Burton of eskates. As for the app? It does everything I need. The braking and acceleration curves are perfect now. Note that if you have dual-Esc you will need to tweak each separately. Nice job, Exway. I’m heading out for a skate now… ### 5/5 — Getting App Connected To Board *2022-10-04, version 1.8.1* Received my flex riot in just a few days and really happy with build quality and ride. Initially had problem getting app to connect to board so just used default settings. I had assumed I needed to put the board in pairing mode to pair with my IPhone X but this seems to be incorrect. After watching a you tube video I just turned on the board and remote and was able to connect and use the app ok. But the board is *2019-01-27, version 1.3* As far as the board goes x1 is on my top 5! And yepYEP let own a few...But the few I've own only 2 others have an app. Mellow and the Boosted. Mellow is by hands down the saddest waste of Wifie's money. Str8trash. But hey it looks nice and take with as it's good to go at the Port. Boosted well boosted is like the godfather of eSK8 have the v1 666 miles on it v2 1992 miles. Cause the boosted app tracks that which btw it also tracks you too bigbro. 👀 Exway lacks that but does make up in it wiithh the customization with the settings which is so dope. Tweaking each speed gear to your liking. AND what did it for me as uncle of the year I be ride with all my nieces n nephews this has a safety mode where it n maxes out on a speed. Which always scares me as all the other boards can be easily touched by the lil ones yeah freaks me out. Plus other boards you can switch direction easily too which keeps me on me on my toes when riding on a group ride of 12 the coolest kids ever! But yeah exway great mid level board with an awesome future go🇨🇳!REPRESENT!🇨🇳 👲 ### 5/5 — Freakin’ Amazing Customer Service *2018-09-03, version 1.3* So, I just bought this board from someone in our skate group and I couldn’t be more happy. The board itself is great but the customer service is on a whole nother’ level! I spoke to Brian on chat who responded in like 3 mins with a possible fix. Shortly after he gave me a call with an engineer sitting beside him who was troubleshooting the board. I heard about this legendary service but on Labor Day those guys were cranking out solutions to my problem. That is some Amazing Customer Service!!
