### 2/5 — Timer App

*2026-04-18, version 5.2.8*

It’s a timer. No need to spend 3 bucks a week on it

### 4/5 — Time Change Issues

*2026-03-11, version 5.2.8*

This app works great normally. I have it set to send reminders during my work schedule M-F 7:30a-4p, which ends up with nice gentle haptic reminders on my Apple Watch. But ever since the time change this past Sunday, the reminders are starting and stopping an hour late. Even though I didn’t change anything in my schedule. I just tried moving the schedule back an hour to accommodate. But it’s a really strange error to be happening.

### 1/5 — Not a top priority for the developer

*2025-11-17, version 5.2.3*

Very buggy! I did persevere and even reached out to the developer to help them improve it but it seems the app is not a top priority for the developer

### 1/5 — Log in?!

*2025-11-06, version 5.2.3*

Are you kidding me? You need an account to send reminders now?

### 3/5 — Great idea

*2025-10-09, version 5.2.1*

I got this app as I started getting ocular migraines, and heavy screen time at work seemed to be a trigger. This app is pretty basic, but a really good idea. I’m only using the free version but it’s working well to remind me to take screen breaks. I like the notifications, and they come through on to my Garmin watch which is brilliant. A couple of glitches I have noticed in the first day of use: I had it set to only notify during working hours, but it’s notifying me all the time, it’s currently 7pm and notifications should have stopped a couple of hours ago.
Also, I have found the app a bit glitchy, a few times when I’ve logged in to look at it the app just hangs on the loading screen and won’t go further. I’ve had to force close and reopen the app to get it to finish loading.
Overall though, I think this is a great app, and I will consider trialling the paid version at some point.

### 1/5 — Doesnt even work

*2025-09-24, version 5.2.1*

I get no notifs, the timer only works if I have the app open (ir not open in background)

### 1/5 — Used to be great

*2025-09-03, version 5.2.1*

This app was excellent until they decided to add a login requirement to use it. I would get a refund if it were possible! It’s a shame because I used this for years.

Edit: the response is very disappointing. I have already paid for this app, and should not have to pay again. There were no new features added apart from the login requirement even though I suggested one years ago - what is the subscription paying for?!?

My objection is that it is obviously data mining! Otherwise why not just use our apple accounts?

### 1/5 — Used to be great

This app was excellent until they decided to add a login requirement to use it. I would get a refund if it were possible! It’s a shame because I used this for years.

### 3/5 — Too expensive

*2025-08-20, version 5.2*

I’ve used this for well over a year, a long tune before the major redesign. If there were an outright purchase option, or a cost effective annual charge, at levels that felt appropriate, and the alerts worked as they used to (maybe they have been not working due to the new version being paid?) then I wold be interested.

As it is I am a big fan of this app’s functionality, but the cost, being each and every month, is just not for me I think. A shame.

### 1/5 — not running if your phone is locked

*2025-08-13, version 5.2*

not running if your phone is locked and they are asking more money for premium version on a monthly plan!! wow

### 2/5 — You need better error handling

*2025-08-05, version 5.2*

I’m sure it’s a fine app since it’s such a simple idea, but I literally can’t create an account which it forces you to. Every time I try it throws a generic exception saying “Failed to sign up, please try again”

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-08-05, version 5.2*

Used to work really well, but now it doesn’t work if the phone is locked, and leaving it open just drains the battery, so may as well not even use it.
Hopefully it gets fixed, because it really did help with eye strain.

### 3/5 — I like most of the updates

*2025-07-21, version 5.2*

I like the recent updates to the app, so much so that I subscribed. However, the customized alert sound I chose only works when the phone is unlocked. When locked (vast majority of the time), it uses the default alert sound, which other apps use as well. So it gets lost in the noise sadly.

### 1/5 — WAS Easy to use, now forces you to sign in

*2025-07-07, version 5.2*

I had previously given this app 5 stars. Then it stopped working for me - I opened to find a login page. The app is unusable without logging in. Why would I want to make an account for a reminders app? I’d get a refund if I could.

### 1/5 — Does not work!

*2025-06-25, version 5.2*

As soon as you switch to another app it stops counting and never notifies you when you look away. Useless.

### 3/5 — Why do you need an account?

*2025-06-21, version 5.2*

If you are going to force people to make accounts, at least let us sign up with a Google or Apple account. I’m not going to make an account and remember another password for an app that shouldn’t need an account in the first place. I also think you should really consider removing mandatory account creation.

### 2/5 — My premium paid version has disappeared :(

*2025-06-21, version 5.2*

I’ve been using the app for ages and recommended it to so many people, but since the upgrade my paid premium version has disappeared. Is there any way to get this back?
(Edited: I completely understand the developer’s response below - I don’t do monthly payments for apps at the moment, and would rather pay a one off fee, so I’ll move on for now. A good app for those who are happy to pay monthly though.)

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — paid now

*2026-07-20, version 5.3*

would've been a decent app before but now it's just a predatory garbage app due to the ridiculously-expensive subscription now required, all just for notifications every 20 minutes. ridiculous

### 1/5 — Expensive

*2026-07-11, version 5.3*

This used to be free, now it’s £50/year! Not sure what costs you have to justify this, as it doesn’t involve any external infrastructure. It’s a timer…

### 1/5 — Disappointed

*2026-07-07, version 5.3*

I would subscribe but you consider it as FREE app then tell me that it is paid? I am disappointed

### 1/5 — No free version

*2026-06-11, version 5.2.9*

Free to download, then the app immediately demands you “upgrade” to “premium”. THERE IS NO BASIC version, no free version or features at all. Premium only! Stupid clickbait.

### 1/5 — Unhappy

*2026-05-19, version 5.2.8*

Not really happy with it being a paid subscription. I had a similar app like this on android and it was for free

### 1/5 — Predatory Subscription Added in Update, no compensation for previous paid users

*2026-05-07, version 5.2.8*

This app worked great for several years and was well worth the $1.99 to remove ads. I was very disappointed to open the app after an update to not only be required to create an account, but to also be presented with a 3 day free trial that either converts into $1.99/week ($8/month) or $60/year ….. for routine notifications. No new features, and no mention of previous paid users. I have uninstalled the app and would warn others against using the app.

### 1/5 — Avoid. Was a one time purchase but now it’s a subscription and requires login information.

*2026-04-29, version 5.2.8*

Was a very helpful app initially but there was an update from 2024 - 2026 that removed the one time purchase of $1.99 for premium and now REQUIRES a subscription to use the app. They also require a email to login now.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t disclose inapp purchase

*2026-04-19, version 5.2.8*

Doesn’t disclose in app purchase on the App Store page. Ask users to sign up then ask for purchase. If you end up not purchasing, it also doesn’t allow you to delete your account - so you still end up giving your email to this app

### 1/5 — Not worth it

*2026-04-08, version 5.2.8*

The app was free which makes sense. Now the app FORCES YOU TO PAY to “help with server costs”. What server costs?!?! This is a simple app that tracks eye usage there is no server involvement. NOT WORTH!!! BETTER FREE VERSIONS AVAILABLE!!!!

### 1/5 — لان

*2025-12-26, version 5.2.6*

لانه مدفوع وهو لايستحق

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — sad they added a paywall

*2026-01-02, version 5.2.6*

I’ve been using this for months and it’s been the best eye care app in the entire App Store, but sadly it had to come to an end. And I understand that you guys need to keep the lights on so.

### 5/5 — The best productivity app I can find

*2025-10-14, version 5.2.1*

Edited again: Well, I couldn’t find a better app, so having tried a few others I’m back. Now 5 stars, for the best productivity app available at a cheaper monthly price than most. I still don’t like paying monthly though 😆

### 5/5 — Does it's job

*2024-07-24, version 5.1*

-Very ideal and reliable, actually works, I like the hud. Thumbs up.

### 5/5 — Great application, does what it needs to

*2024-07-22, version 5.1*

.

### 5/5 — Good

*2024-06-27, version 5.1*

Simple but efective

### 5/5 — 20:20:20

*2023-10-16, version 5.1*

20-20-20 rule will definitely relax your eyes. Every 20 minutes take a break for 20 seconds and look at distance of 20 feet long

### 5/5 — The best app

*2023-09-15, version 5.1*

Really great app for making sure I take breaks from my phone, would recommend to anyone. I wish they had a desktop version
