### 2/5 — Worse since update

*2019-09-09, version 5.15.6*

Since the app was recently updated, the lag has been much more substantial, the app has frozen more frequently and more often returns "Timed Out" errors.

### 1/5 — Awful

*2017-06-26, version 5.5.2*

Awful. Have had it for two years. Still works like it's in beta testing. Support is non existent

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Awful EHR

*2024-06-16, version 7.5.10*

I’ve reluctantly used this app/ EHR for over a year. It’s not intuitive and obviously adapted to optometry by people that do not understand the profession. This app can be quick if you have nothing to document outside of an sRx but quickly becomes time consuming with many buttons to push for simple documentation. Often has bugs and in one instance lost/ unable to recover all charts that were recorded for the day. The spell check doesn’t even have optometric terms in the vocabulary. Avoid this app if you value your time and sanity.

### 1/5 — Everytime they update they mess things up

*2024-03-15, version 7.5.6*

The latest update 3/14/24 makes it impossible to finalize a glasses RX. Each time they update, they mess something vital up. I’m getting really tired of this! I wish we could change our EHR to something more reliable

### 1/5 — Slow and tedious

*2023-10-09*

App is not intuitive and requires a ridiculous amount of input for simple documentation.

### 1/5 — Contact rxs wont input

*2022-09-07, version 6.2.4*

Unable to input contacts

### 1/5 — Put sticky notes back on iPad grid view

*2022-02-14, version 6.0.6*

Why would you remove sticky notes from the iPad grid view? Technicians/staff communicate information to the doctor through that method. Please return that to the location where you have now placed attachments which is used much less frequently!

### 1/5 — Updates Making Things Worse

*2021-07-09, version 5.25.5*

They are updating things that do not need to be updated and ignoring other areas. For example, prior to an update during the exam section there was an option (In Advance Mode) to free text under each category. They removed that feature and can only free text now if you are not in advance mode. If you are using the Ipad you now have to keep scrolling through each section to get to the very bottom in order to just put your findings in, its a waste of time.

### 1/5 — Need to Fix latest update bug

*2020-09-24, version 5.21.4*

Ever since the last update I am required to enter provider location EVERY SINGLE TIME I push home before it lets me move on. it says you can add provider location in profile, which I have done, and it still happens every time. Also, since the update I am unable to print Rxs. My printer is located and identified but when I push print, it does not print. The printer seems to be working fine with every other command or application, except for the pr8nt command from this EHR program. Help!!

### 1/5 — Will not update

*2020-03-18, version 5.18.6*

App will not update, tried uninstalling and reinstalling same issue. Very disappointing

### 1/5 — Another failed update

*2020-02-01, version 5.18.2*

Why do they keep pushing flawed updates? Now I can’t even send scripts through to Acuity Logic... The interface looks worse, is less intuitive and as always I have to reset all my ‘sticky’ presets.

### 1/5 — Refactive codes

*2019-04-12, version 5.14.2*

I was told by Phernell over three years ago that the refraction would generate the exam codes. I am still waiting.
This is easily doable since the previous system, examwriter did just that.
I have also recommended that common responses such as “ no treatment “ head the list rather than alphabetical. That mutually exclusive responses such as right eye worse than left eye and left eye worse than right eye cannot be clicked at the same time.
That the “success” banner at the top of the page disappear in most cases because it is redundant and just wastes time. A place where it should appear and doesn’t is when a rx. is printed.
These are only a few of the myriad of suggestions I have made over the years that you have chosen to ignore. I don’t know why I am wasting my time.

### 5/5 — My EHR

*2022-09-16, version 6.2.5*

No, absolutely no EHR is perfect! My EHR, EYEFINITY EHR, works for me. The program can be reached in some fashion by my desktop, iPad, iPhone and iWatch….anywhere I am. Eyefinity EHR does for me, in a speedy fashion, what I need to do for a patient: document an exam, produce an optical or medical RX, letters to other doctors, info sheets for patients and billing of the visit. I make protocols in Eyefinity EHR for a few situations where the EHR may not yet have a plan I seldom use. Then the protocols are my finger tips. Advice: look at what they have and work with it. Every individual can find something they don’t like or wish it had… In my mind this is a 5 and yes, Eyefinity EHR will even get better!!

### 5/5 — Having to add provider

*2020-09-12, version 5.21.3*

Is anyone having trouble with the new update? Every time I hit home it has me add the provider every time. Even if i set it as default.

### 5/5 — Easy!

*2019-02-27, version 5.13.4*

Surprisingly easy. I am amazed. I can’t do without it.

### 5/5 — Great for optometry

*2017-09-27, version 5.6.0*

This is one of the best tools out there for optometry. The mobility and ease of use is light years ahead of anything out there.

### 5/5 — Very Capable

*2017-09-26, version 5.6.0*

As a business owner, employee and moonlighting doctor, I've used many EHR systems. My favorite, by far, is Eyefinity EHR. It has come a long way since I first started to use it and with each update becomes more user friendly.

I use the iPad interface and love that I can chart while pulling trials, or sitting in my office and I love that it can be open on 2 systems at once. My other favorite feature that works well is the copy forward on examination.

### 5/5 — Wonderful EHR

*2016-10-19, version 5.1.4*

I've used Eyefinity for two years and really have enjoyed the boost in efficiency of my practice. The key is putting forth the effort to learn it. In my opinion, you really only need the iPad for the exam and use the desktop version just for quick glances. When used correctly, this EHR is head and shoulders above the others. Great work

### 4/5 — Unable to login

*2025-09-09, version 7.11.2*

With the new update I am unable to login to the EHR. Error code 400. Restart, uninstall and install do not work. before update worked fine.

### 3/5 — Why did they change the medical/ ocular history?

*2021-10-29, version 5.27.3*

The medical & ocular history is MUCH HARDER to document.
Should have kept old and expanded ability to free text easier with segments you can date. Unless you date info, it just carries over so not sure when pt had Dx or medical problems

### 3/5 — Eyefinity EHR

*2014-10-05, version 4.3.0*

A fairly nice EHR. Great summarization of encounter screen and a nice portal that allows patients to input some medical history that populates to the exam. The system organizes the data nicely. The opening screen gives great overviews & makes it easy to see previous encounters. The system is very intuitive & easy to use. The chief complaints are easy to input & the questions asked during HPI relate to the specific chief complaint only. This EHR system has 3 areas that need work: (1) It is unable to load all the previous exam findings (for example previous CD findings will not load) (2) Exam data is often deleted & has to be re-entered even when saved. For example if you are performing a post-op exam on the right eye & save your exam but then later go back & try to enter data for the left eye, the entire exam must be re-entered & repeated. The same is true if you start off doing a non-dilated exam & decide to dilate...then the entire anterior segment exam must be repeated. Most users avoid this by not entering data from the exam screen but instead doing it from the diagnosis/impression screen but of course this would create an incomplete record (it does not have retinal findings like CD included in the exam notes). (3). The final glasses Rx can not be created while also simultaneously being able to see previous Rx & current refraction. They have some nice inport features but it never allows old Rx and current refraction to be seen while entering the new Rx. Overall, this is a nice system. I think the desk top version probably addresses some of the above issues. If they could fix the above 3 problems for the IPad, this system could be great.

### 2/5 — 6.3.3 Update for Contact Lenses

*2022-09-30, version 6.3.3*

The 6.3.3 update seems to have caused problems with inputting/altering existing CL trials and rxs. If there is an existing CL and I try to change a parameter (from diagnostic lens to product, from -0.75 cyl to -1.25 cyl, etc.), then click save, nothing is actually saved. I have to start from scratch to input a new trial, rather than pulling the previous one forward and editing it.
