### 4/5 — Decent but unsure of accuracy

*2023-01-29*

Decent and simple overall, but I haven’t checked the accuracy with a recent eye exam.

Suggestions:
1. Would it make sense to tell the user how to retake a test if he/she forgets to rotate the eyepiece? I can see this would be one reason to have a b/t version, for positive assurance the test is being taken properly, as I felt that could be a large source of error.
2. Another thing would be a reminder why it’s still important to see a ”trained professional “ to check for other issues, like glaucoma, etc. in other words, this would be a good time to” lean in “ to educating the user.
3. You should give the user an idea of how often to repeat this” exam .” Among other things, that helps validate the user’s purchase.
4. Also, are there sectors in society unable to get proper tests, where this might be invaluable? What about leaning in to that and having a donate-now button to support sending these to an appropriate organization? The Lions club is into donating glasses, so that may be a natural fit. And this will help “get the word out” and give you an even greater impact, besides increasing your perceived “good will.”

Again, good start, and best wishes! Thanks for the sample at CES2023.

### 4/5 — Work well

*2022-10-28*

I’ve used the EyeQue Vision Check for a few years and it works quite well. You do need to practice in order to get your eye aligned properly to view both lines. But, once you do that, it’s pretty quick. I also have the PD check, which is better than what is done by an optician just visually. I ordered glasses online a couple of years ago using what I got from EyeQues and they were far better than the ones that I got at the optometrist.

My only issue is that I cannot order try-on glasses with the correct PDs from EyeQue because mine are not equal. I learned the hard way that just dividing the total PD by 2 does not work. The last time I got glasses at the optometrist, it took four visits to get my glasses right. In the end, the PDs were the issue.

### 4/5 — Seems to work

*2022-04-20*

This seems to work. I needed new glasses badly and can’t get an appointment for several months. It’s not the easiest to do but if you take your time you can get thru it.
So my new glasses arrived today. I am pleasantly surprised that the prescription is quite good. My vision is much better than my old prescription. I was very skeptical since it came out way different from my old scrip. I did test six times. I recommend testing as many times as you can stand and take your time doing it. I have an appointment with an optometrist in a month and I will see where their prescription fall into place. My only reason for four stars and not five is that the testing process is very tedious. My eyes are really bad. It probably would be easier for someone with better vision to start with

### 4/5 — Multiple tests

*2022-02-02*

Concerned regarding testing as at times I struggle to see the two colors. I have to manipulate the scope to see the colors to be able to get them to merge. As such I’m concerned regarding the accuracy. That said I had ordered glasses based on the numbers previously and was pleased with the results! Will keep testing and order new glasses soon.

### 4/5 — Fingers (eyes??) crossed

*2020-10-22, version 2.2.2*

The app is super easy to use. I love that you can get a trial pair or a cheap pair to test your prescription before you invest a huge amount of money. Sidenote, when they say to ‘rotate’ they mean the cylinder not your entire phone ha ha Ha (Ask me how I know ... derp)

### 4/5 — Pretty good

*2020-08-20, version 2.2.1*

Had difficulty getting my eye close enough to the device to see both red & blue lines simultaneously. Had to press the device very firmly into my eye to achieve this. It was not comfortable! The script generated by the app was compared to a professional exam 12 hours later. The spherical difference was .25, cylinder difference was .5 and axis difference was negligible at 2 degrees.

### 5/5 — Amazing tech app

*2020-08-10, version 2.2.1*

I’m so impressed by how technologically advanced this device is and how well it syncs to the app as well. So accurate and fast to test your eye sight and to order new glasses! A+++¥+

### 3/5 — Great idea, decent usability

*2020-07-30, version 2.2.1*

This is a super product idea and I was excited to try. Instructions and app format are solid. The main difficulty I had was being able to see both lines in each test level. I moved the device around as told, but still had trouble. When I was able to see it functioned well. I will update once I get my glasses.

### 5/5 — Better than an office visit

*2020-07-13*

You get to take your time deciding when the lines are adjusted correctly instead of the office experience of “what’s better, 1 or 2?! 1 or 2!!”
3 out of 4 times I’ve had an incorrect Rx from the optometrist. I feel much more confident in this method of doing it yourself, patiently.

### 5/5 — Your pace. Your precision

*2020-06-08, version 2.1.4*

I loved aspects of eyeque because you can take your time and dial in your answers at your personal comfort level!
Thx.
Can’t wait to get my glasses

### 4/5 — Cool concept and convenient

*2020-05-22*

This app is super cool and seems pretty accurate. I misunderstood the directions for my first test and the practice test before this, so I have had to take a few additional tests (my results were not consistent after I started testing the correct way). I have another to do, but the results seem close to my prescription once I started doing it right! It’s nice that I can do this on my own time from home, rather than having to go through the process at an optometrist’s office. Very convenient. Took a star off the review because I couldn’t delete my first test result!

**Developer response:** Hi Abrunck, thanks for the review. We're glad that you continued testing to get the correct results versus just quitting then and there! It's totally wroth it right?

Please let us know if you're interested in getting free Try-On Glasses with your recent EyeGlass Numbers. We are running a beta program right now. Just email us at support@eyeque.com. Happy vision testing!

### 5/5 — Worked perfectly.

*2020-05-14, version 2.1.4*

Must take at least one full test before ordering glasses. Worked perfectly. New prescription is excellent. Worth every Penney.

### 4/5 — Giving it a try

*2020-05-11*

Saw a review on CNET about EyeQue and decided to give it a try. Once I figured out how to use the PVT it was easy to use and the voice instructions when doing the test was every helpful and easy to follow. I’m going to run it one more time just to make sure I did it correctly before I order a pair glasses.

**Developer response:** Thank you for leaving a review. We're glad that the voice over was helpful during your experience. Please let us know if you have any questions about ordering glasses or your EyeGlass Numbers! Just email us at support@eyeque.com. Happy vision testing :)

### 5/5 — It worked!

*2020-04-16*

I’ve been home bound for the last 12 years. In that time, my glasses got really out of date. I got this scope thingy and did the test about ten times to build up a solid average. I got glasses with the result and could see better! My left eye remained at 20/25 while my right improved from 20/32 to 20/20!

**Developer response:** Hey there! Thank you so much for leaving us a review. We're so glad that you were able to improve your vision without having to leave home because of our technology. Please email us any time with any questions or feedback at support@eyeque.com.

### 4/5 — Skeptical

*2020-04-04*

Purchased PVT as my prescription from last year resulted in getting glasses that did not work well. Left eye fine but right eye not as focused. Also could not get eyes to synchronize very well on an image despite having PD measured at the optical shop. Multiple tests on PVT resulted in fairly consistent measurements despite getting messages from app that measurements not consistent. Not sure why. Results also seemed very different from opthalmologists results. Despite this new glasses ordered and to my surprise vision much better than the other glasses/eyes synchronized. I have done more testing again and found the app updated. When reviewing prior tests the saved results on the app do not match up with the readings that I saved to my phone. Dates and times match but EGNs do not. Emailed customer support but have not gotten a response to that question yet. Some measurements with new app have been inconsistent with other results although latest one taken was spot on with the EGN used to order latest glasses. Overall pleasantly surprised by the results obtained but still concerned with some inconsistencies. Will keep testing!

**Developer response:** Hi there, thank you for taking the time to leave a detailed review. I'm so glad to hear you were able to get great glasses with your EyeGlass Numbers. We've have had a recent influx of support tickets, but we will get back to you as soon as possible. I'll be sure to share your review with the rest of the support team so we can further investigate the issue. Thank you Lulu!

### 5/5 — Wow!

*2020-03-27, version 2.1.1*

It takes some time to get used to but the practice session was super helpful. I just ordered glasses and they are PERFECT! Again, takes a little time but it’s worth not having to leave my house (especially during these times).

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Used to be awesome but they took away my login

*2025-06-30, version 2.3.4*

I tried to login today but wrong password and unable to reset it. No help, not in spam

### 1/5 — 2024 DO NOT BUY!!! Completely Useless

*2024-02-10, version 2.3.4*

I was excited to use the PVT device only to find out that it’s absolutely useless. I contacted customer service and all they can say is that it glitches and can’t even offer a date of when it will be functional again. A waste of time and money.

### 1/5 — Cheap and useless

*2020-04-28, version 2.1.3*

Really disappointed in the quality of the device. The 1-9 settings didn’t solidly click into place. After three attempts with the app was still unable to get a reading. Not a reliable replacement.

### 1/5 — App won’t start

*2020-03-22, version 2.0.1*

I see the startup screen then it crashes

### 1/5 — A good? Product screwed by software

*2020-02-23, version 2.0.1*

piece of crap is this? I have spent more than two hours playing with the app and have yet to ever do a test. Every time I entered the SN In the box I got an invalid SN error???? Finally got here and it said first year membership free. I was directed to the store which said pay$4.99. Your scope looks like a great tool, though I’ve yet to test it.
Please send me instructions to return You tell me I confirmed my email Your latest missive says I have to confirm it again. JUST TELL ME HOW TO RETURN THIS COD FOR A REFUND. AND WHO DO I CHARGE FOR MY TIME WASTED ON THIS GARBAGE.

The App Store asked me to update my review: So here goes...
The Ap store letter said I received a reply which is funny because the “reply “ letter asked me to provide my contact information. So how could I receive a reply if they didn’t know where to send it.
It appears nothing has changed

### 1/5 — Great idea

*2020-02-17, version 2.0.1*

So I got this when it 1st came out, then they switch to subscription and you need to pay to get it to work again. I go the extra step of buying a bunch of their stuff and a year subscription. Big mistake. The app worked for awhile but won’t give a prescription...says technical difficulties. Now it doesn’t even open. Please be careful buying this...it seems like one of those great ideas that they can’t make work.

### 1/5 — App crashes

*2019-08-21, version 2.0.1*

iPhone X, the app crashes during launch.
Deleted app and reinstalled, relaunched app and entered log in information then app crashes again.
UPDATE: contacted the support line and apparently it was a problem with an older iPhone EyeQue account. They created a new account and now the problem has been resolved.

### 1/5 — Eyeque

*2019-05-31, version 1.6.5*

Je l’ai utilisé qu’une fois et maintenant l’application ne fonctionne pas malgré la mise à jour!

### 1/5 — Please fix

*2019-05-17, version 1.6.5*

Just crashes on startup. Latest IOS, iPhone 6. Tried luck with vision check app but the login Vito on that doesn’t work.

Disappointed kickstarter

### 1/5 — “-“ and “+” buttons not working

*2019-04-28, version 1.6.5*

I attempted to use the app on two different devices but the “-“ and “+” buttons would not move the red and green lines correctly both in the practice and test forms. Please fix ASAP so I am able to use the device.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Better eyeglasses

*2025-05-24, version 2.3.4*

The glasses I got using this device were much better than what I got through the optician.

### 5/5 — It does the job!

*2022-05-10*

I got this when it first came out. It is a bit tricky to figure out how to use it, but once you do, it isn’t hard. I have a strong prescription and my vision is very important in my occupation as a general surgeon. The eyeglass numbers are very accurate. I have purchased several pairs of eyeglasses with numbers generated by this system. I love it.

### 5/5 — Have used for several years!

*2022-04-04, version 2.3.0*

After several years I just am amazed how accurate this is. Works great. I would definitely buy again!

### 5/5 — Works Great

*2022-01-31, version 2.2.9*

I find the PVT easy to use. I get reproducable results. Glasses using the results have been spot on. I check for changes once a month.

### 5/5 — Neat device!

*2021-11-11*

I am really impressed with the Personal Vision Tracker Plus and the EyeQue app. I have received consistent results with each eye test. I was skeptical to try, but I am glad I did. This is a great way to test your vision quickly from the convenience of your home. I also love that the app is free and that it tracks your eye test history. Great product!

### 5/5 — Easy to use!

*2021-10-03, version 2.2.9*

Very intuitive, easy to get your numbers
Worked great

### 5/5 — Learning curve but helped me a lot!!

*2021-09-16, version 2.2.9*

There is a learning curve, but after that really useful tool!

### 5/5 — Good way to check your eyes

*2021-08-05*

I never used glasses before. So, I was not sure what to expect from this device. I was starting to have some blurry view for look at the computer screen. So, I decided to try the PVT to see what kind of results would be achieved. I did several tests separated by different days to see what kind of results it would give me. When I saw that the results were similar, I decided to get a pair of glasses.
I was not sure how accurate it would be, as when I looked at the results there were mixed results registered.
I am glad to say that the glasses that I ordered worked perfectly. I can see clearly when looking at the computer screen with small letters.
I’m happy with the results and will keep doing the vision test regularly to check when it will be time to get new glasses.
Hope this helps
Roberto

### 5/5 — Skeptical at first

*2021-04-21*

I was skeptical at first I took the practice test several times in order to learn how to properly use the eye check device. After taking multiple tests at different times of the day and getting a steady average I went ahead and ordered my glasses. I could actually see better with my new glasses straight out of the box than I have ever been able to after a visit to the eye doctor. You have to take multiple tests and and learn how to properly use the device. I will still go to the eye doctor for an annual check up but I will be using this app to get my prescription and order my glasses.

### 5/5 — Took some practice

*2021-01-12, version 2.2.5*

The problem was user error. Once I got the hang of it, it was quick and fun. I’m looking forward to replacing my broken glasses without going in during COVID pandemic!
