## What is EyeRep 6 Modern Optical?

EyeRep provides a powerful app for our sales reps to present our eyewear products to existing and potential customers. It simplifies placing orders through our backend system with instant confirmation and updated inventory.

### 6.7.3 — 2026-06-18

We have rolled out a quick important update to keep your EyeRep App running smoothly. This hotfix vastly optimizes how the app handles sketchy cellular connections, cleans up portrait-mode screen layouts, and fixes a shopping cart glitch.
1) Smart Syncing & Connection Tweaks (For the Road)
--> 120-Minute Smart Sync Interval
          - What we did: Updated the application's automatic background data refresh interval to onlyt pull new data exactly 120 minutes after your last successful sync.
          - Your Benefit: This eliminates unnecessary, battery-draining "retry calls" when you are working inside dispensaries with poor, sketchy cellular connections.
--> Unstable Connection Retry Cap
          - What we did: Capped automatic background sync retries to exactly one attempt when a cellular network is detected as unstable.
          - Your Benefit: This prevents the app from incessantly attempting to sync over and over again in dead zones. Your app stays fast and responsive, and your device won't be over syncing when you are working with an account.
2) Display & Layout Enhancements
--> Full Portrait Mode Support
          - What we did: Fully optimized the interface rendering for single-handed device use.
          - Your Benefit: The Frameboard, catalog, shopping cart, and checkout screens now render crisply and clearly in portrait mode. You can easily navigate collections and complete an order without being forced to rotate your tablet or horizontally.
3) Bug Fixes
--> Shopping Cart Manual Returns
           - What we did: Fixed a software glitch where the manual return pop-up window would unexpectedly close itself mid-action.
           - Your Benefit: When adding a manual return item in the shopping cart, the input modal no longer disappears automatically. It stays open securely until you are completely finished typing in the return details and manually close it.

- New Feature: EyeRep is now iOS 26 compatible
- New Feature: Corporate Assigned Account Tags can now be sent in a data file for display / filtering on EyeRep. This is in addition to any user created / defined tags
- New Feature: Colors can be assigned to Corporate Tags
- New Feature: Tags are now also displayed on the General Account Screen and tapping on a tag opens the tag list menu
- New Feature: Assigned Corporate tags are clearly marked and moved to top of the Corporate tag menu list.

- New Feature: When setting a calendar appointment in EyeRep, the Account email address and phone number are now being added to calendar item notes 
- New Feature: Show popup warning during logout, to warn users to upload any Working / Unsaved frame boards when there are working frameboards
- New Feature: For email and calendar, EyeRep can now deep link directly into the Outlook Native app if installed and in use. Otherwise Apple Mail / Cal remains the default. 
- New Feature: To avoid user defined returns, when attempting to use the kebab menu return process on the shopping cart screen, EyeRep can search all current and discontinued inventory to show user if an item exists in their data set. 
- New Feature: Added an additional filter in the Catalog filter menu for items released within the last 180 days
- Navigation Enhancement: When modifying Open Carts from orders screen you are no longer taken all the way back to the "Orders" screen when backing up a step.
- Enhancement: When "Grouping" by 'Last Order Date' EyeRep now presents the list in chronological order.
- Enhancement: Sharing / Exporting your recent order list from the "Orders" screen, now exports the full list instead of giving the option to choose date range. 
- Enhancement: Code has been updated to to fix the lag on the analytics screen for large data sets. 
- Enhancement: Users can now search search for lens attributes on the Catalog search screen
- Enhancement: Account number and account name are now added when sharing / exporting a shopping cart
- Enhancement: Catalog sorting is now sensitive to both alpha and numeric style names
- Enhancement: On the order history screen Analytics bar graph, The yearly totals now displays the net quantity of frames purchased
