## What is EyesHaveIt?

The Eyes Have It (TEHI) app is designed to teach medical and optometric students, and to assist physicians, optometrists, ophthalmic technicians, nurses and other health care providers in diagnosing and managing eye care problems.

Written by respected University of Michigan ophthalmologist Jonathan D. Trobe, MD, the text contains hyperlinks to supplemental images, narrated animations, and videos that illustrate the clinical and teaching points. A picture-based multiple-choice quiz allows users to assess their knowledge.

With 134 eye conditions, 410 images, more than 40 narrated animations and patient videos, 6 screening examination videos and an eye anatomy review section, this pocket resource can be your go-to source for eye information!

A quiz of multiple-choice questions allows users to test themselves on their knowledge of eye conditions and their management. The quiz can also be used by instructors to assess the proficiency of their trainees.
The web product by the same name, on which this app is based, has become the favored worldwide resource in this field.

Highlights:
•	Learn about an eye condition through concise bulleted text that addresses What is it? How does it appear? What else looks like it? What to do? and What will happen?
•	View supplemental images with highlighting arrows, narrated animations, and videos
•	Develop a differential diagnosis using the links to candidate conditions
•	Find out what happens if you correctly or incorrectly diagnose or manage a condition
•	Discover the structures of the eye and visual pathway through pop-up cross sectional drawings and ophthalmoscopic images
•	Watch videos to learn how to conduct the common screening eye exams and interpret what you find
•	Search title and text to find a feature of interest to you
•	Favorite a condition to get back to it easily
•	Test your proficiency by answering multiple-choice questions

### 1/5 — Save your money

*2019-06-26*

Very old format, outdated information not worth $5

### 4/5 — Dr. Alan

*2018-08-01*

Please add an eye chart for visual acuity and basic treatment regimens for each pathology. That would be very helpful. Excellent Emergency Medicine resource (if those items are added).

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2017-05-22*

Better pictures than my optometry school teaches with in lecture!

### 5/5 — Great in the ED!

*2015-01-21*

This app is a lifesaver in the ED where I don't see eyes every day. It helps me to come up with a list of differentials and remember important/sight threatening conditions. Don't know what I did without it!

### 3/5 — More Please

*2014-12-11*

Great tool! Has great pictures and definitions. Just wish it had more considering some free apps have 5x more topics and breakdown of each disorder.

### 5/5 — Great study tool and reference for clinic and the wards!

*2014-06-01*

The Eyes Have It mobile app is a great tool to have at your fingertips for reference to ophthalmologic findings. It has a very user-friendly interface, making it an easy, quick reference to use while on the wards or in clinic. Additionally, the drop down sections make it an excellent learning tool for students, providing a systemic way to read through the different findings and pathology. I highly recommend this app to anyone learning about or seeing patients with eye conditions.

### 5/5 — Great resource! Easy to use!

*2014-05-20*

This mobile app is a great resource and reference for clinical findings in ophthalmology. Medical students can use it to better understand the subtle differences in certain pathologies and to review the ocular manifestations of systemic disease. It is great for residents who would like to make an informed consult or who may need a quick guide to eye diseases. For how straight forward the app is, it is surprisingly comprehensive. Highly recommended for anyone with a smartphone who is interested in ophthalmology or sees patients who may present with eye complaints!!

### 5/5 — Practical, user friendly Ophthalmology

*2014-05-19*

Ophthalmologist pearls from a master clinician: easy-to-use and practical. Emergency physicians see everything but sometimes infrequently. What was that differential? Now we have a way of obtaining a
quick quick consult at 3 AM on Saturday. Thank you Dr. Trobe!

### 5/5 — Another Great Mobile App from the University of Michigan!

*2014-04-25*

The Eyes Have It is an easy-to-navigate mobile app featuring high-quality images from the Kellogg Eye Center, videos, and animations -- all presented with the convenience and portability of the iPad. I highly recommend The Eyes Have It to anyone needing a comprehensive ophthalmology overview. Another excellent learning tool from the University of Michigan!
