For one arm/disarm and status widgets. ### 3/5 — Code Entry Keypad Has Changed On iPad *2024-12-05, version 2.3* The last couple of app updates (within the last two weeks or so), have changed the method for entering the arming/disarming numeric code on my iPad. Previously, upon selecting to arm or disarm, a numeric keypad would be displayed; now a full alpha numeric keyboard is displayed. Please bring back the more simple numeric keypad for entry of alarm code numbers. Better yet, allow for arming and disarming with Face ID. ### 2/5 — Unable to get into app *2024-12-01, version 2.3* What a horrible app! I haven't been able to login for a while and I've tried deleting / reinstalling but nothing helps. It’s so bad I’m considering leaving EyezOn completely. Several months ago the system stopped sending me texts and I could only get push notifications. Thus, I set my sound for the push notification to an obnoxious sound so I wouldn’t miss them. This was a decent fix, but not ideal. 2. I updated the app last night. It changed the sound to a doorbell sound that we can’t change. 3. Today, it stopped sending me push notifications completely. I went to log onto the app so I could see why and the app no longer allows me to log on with my current username and password. I’d love to have this app back to the way it worked a year ago. It’s so bad, I finally had to turn sound notifications off. They are both stuck on SOS. ### 2/5 — Can’t login now *2024-09-27, version 2.1* Your 2.1 update to fix an issue for some people logging in, is now preventing me from logging in. ### 3/5 — This update has created another problem *2024-09-26, version 2.1* I assume this latest update fixed some invisible problems but as is typical for a bunch of developers inside a windowless room, it misses the target again. Smart phones today are highly configurable so we can choose what sound we want for our default notifications. This new update has locked that sound to a doorbell plus a door opening or closing. It’s so cute but it’s not what customers want to hear. I’ve spent a great deal of time this week telling people that I can’t fix this (again this is not what they want to hear). The response has been such that it looks like I might end up having to change some of these systems over to an alternate interface board. I can’t understand why tech companies can develop such a good product and then ruin it with a poorly conceived app. Why not just give the customer the ability to make the choice. ### 4/5 — Quite a bit better UI now *2024-09-26, version 2.1* Ok now that I can login again I can see things are improved quite a bit. Noting concise and efficient. You need to change pages and scroll all the time. 100% worst then previous. And the worst part: the main page when you open it is not “dedicated” on bringing you all the info you need about your alarm system: but is dedicated to selling you stuffs! And sub-products! You need to go deep in other pages to manage your alarm systems. En ipad no he actualizado la versión y se notifican las zonas en bypass etc ### 1/5 — Poor app for important system *2024-09-28, version 2.1* Though the hardware for the system is very nice, this app is very poor and unprofessional. The app is poorly designed and inconsistent, And not very intuitive even if you have only the most basic system. Things like different back button styles on various screens, rather than one consistent way; Colour scheme that makes no sense, lots of pinks, pale yellow, etc. They make the app look silly rather than having colour be something meaningful and serve a purpose to alert or indicate. The screen organization, display of information, and wording causes confusion and takes away from the function. As far as implementation of their wonderful design, the app often stalls after buttons are touched, and the app does not even work on all current model iPhones, with the screen spilling over or cut off or overlapped, even when changing layout from website to mobile, that makes no difference; the app is particularly bad on the iPhone 13 mini and 12 mini. The new sounds they added in the recent update, and turned on in that update. If you previously had them off, are disturbing with doorbell sounds frequently going off; at least you can change the sounds back to the iPhone defaults. As this latest improved version of the app stands now, it is almost unuseable on phones like the iPhone 13 and 12 mini the app was vastly superior a number of versions ago, both in design and function. I really like the hardware, and the older apps, but I would not recommend this system now, simply because of the current app; if you are looking for something to allow your phone to access, control, or check your alarm system, I would look elsewhere. ### 1/5 — Roll back the upgrade *2024-09-26, version 2.1* When you cause other users the inability to access their security system due to a system upgrade, that is not an improvement. Now I have to log in to a system that l always had access to. To top it off, the app will not allow me to log in. Please roll this back so that I can access my security system. Who cares about UI aesthetics for a security product? It is easy to use and I’m a retiree! It arms and disarms your system, allows you to add users and edit contact ways, updates system status instantly, and many other options. It DOES NOT CRASH. IT IS RELIABLE. Right now I can see that my vacation home is alarmed, and I’ll get an alert if someone goes in or if the sump pump fails or anything else happens that my alarm system can pick up. Funny, I was going to ditch my old alarm system, but I’m extraordinarily happy I kept it because it is very comprehensive, reliable, and maintenance and administration-free 🙂 Yeah, the UI isn’t so pretty, but it’s the functionality that’s the tops.
