### 3/5 — No notifications

*2026-06-01, version 6.0.4*

The app doesn’t notify me of new messages and updates even though I have notifications turned on

### 3/5 — Notifications don't work although they are enabled in my phone's settings

*2026-03-19, version 6.0.3*

Fix phone notifications, please. I need to have emails notifications enabled to be up to date :/

### 3/5 — Does not allow autofill

*2026-02-02, version 6.0.1*

I cannot raise payments in the app as it will not allow me to autofill information from saved credit cards. The feature was there before but now is gone

### 3/5 — Annoying notifications

*2025-11-17, version 6.0.0*

When I get a new communication from the nursery the red badge just stays there long after I read the message, making you wonder if there’s a new message or just the one you already read

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2025-03-17, version 5.0.5*

App does not load, doesn’t let me in to see anything. Messages don’t work properly. I can see im getting notifications but no good if i cant access the app. Don’t fox something thats not broken.

### 1/5 — Is this their first app?

*2025-03-13, version 5.0.4*

Why our nursery chose this I’ve no idea. Messaging doesn’t work, I can’t read most of the messages except for the first few words, I can’t see my partners messages, I can’t provide information about my children eg dietary. So called new features haven’t actually been implemented.
At least it’s free I guess

### 1/5 — Unusable

*2025-03-12, version 5.0.4*

Since the update I can’t get into this app because the ‘what’s new in version 5.0.3’ window blocks the front page. I’m unable to scroll down to read the entire message and I’m unable to close it.
I’d be amused by the irony if I didn’t need to get in to check on my child.

Also there is no option to personalise notifications, meaning an alert telling you your child has successfully eaten a breadstick is treated with the same gravitas as a message letting you know the nursery will be closed.

### 2/5 — No longer able to zoom into photos

*2025-03-11, version 5.0.4*

No longer able to zoom into photos

### 3/5 — Please fix uploading media

*2025-03-10, version 5.0.3*

Adding observations doesn’t allow for multi-select and a bug means a Discard notification pops up as you’re selecting images

### 3/5 — Not convinced

*2025-03-04, version 5.0.2*

The app seems to be improved, but legacy messages have disappeared entirely and attachments in new messages (e.g. pdfs) have to be saved and downloaded elsewhere in order to be viewed. Clearly basic usability was overlooked in the update. There is also no draggable scroll bar to browse the timeline. :(

### 1/5 — No idea what they are doing

*2025-03-04, version 5.0.2*

Since last update I can only see the ‘latest observation’ - this is not an improvement

### 2/5 — Spammy

*2025-03-03, version 5.0.2*

The new update has brought an endless stream of notifications; I don’t need to be updated for every nappy change and snack my child eats. I definitely don’t need notifications that a new version has been released. I’m ambivalent about the new UI, it’s still really slow, but I guess heading in the right direction

### 2/5 — Please make it less annoying

*2025-03-02, version 5.0.0*

The new update has definitely improved the UI, but it’s crucial to get the basics right, especially since the notification system seems to have gone overboard. I now receive a notification after every single meal and message, and there’s no option to clear these notifications en masse. Currently, I have to tap each one individually, which can exceed 60-70 per week. This is quite impractical and rather frustrating.

It’s essential to add a way to clear and customize notifications. Right now, it’s all or nothing: notifications are either fully on for everything or completely off. I would like to receive notifications for important events like check-ins/check-outs and nursery messages, but not for every meal. The ability to control this in the settings should be a basic feature. Without it, the app becomes either a constant annoyance or simply not fit for purpose.

### 3/5 — Clunky to navigate

*2025-03-02, version 5.0.0*

The UI is generally slow and unresponsive and whilst improved over the previous version the app still suffers from performance issues. The notification and messages page point to each other and seem redundant, there’s also no configurability for what you want to be notified about. For example, I get a notification that I’ve received a message which points me at the adjacent section on messages.
I miss the single feed of observations - we have two kids at nursery and I have to endlessly select which one to get to their things, make this easier and provide a consolidated view of their days for both.
And for messages and notifications - it needs a “mark all as read” or swipe actions rather than having to click into each one.
For photos, they’re no longer pinch zoomable - this was useful as it can be difficult to see what’s actually happening in the observation.
Functionality to change your child’s profile picture also seems to have been removed? They grow quickly so photos get outdated - please add this back.

### 3/5 — V5 missing features

*2025-02-28, version 5.0.0*

Love the new layout but cannot zoom in on photos, and can no longer save photos or videos

### 2/5 — Attachments don’t preview/ open?

*2025-02-28, version 5.0.0*

Our nursery sends out PDF and PPTX files but there seems to be no support for just viewing them natively in the app. Even just an ‘Open in Browser’ option would make life easier. Currently I have to ‘Save to Files’ somewhere, then go find it and open it from there using apps that should have just appeared in the Share tray. Quite painful to be honest. Rest of app seems ok

### 1/5 — Still clunky

*2025-02-28, version 5.0.0*

The recent update is a little disappointing as I now have to actively pick between my children to see their observations and they are not all in the same screen which I previously really liked. I also dislike that I have to open every notification to get rid of the number of notifications and not just go on to the notification screen and they all disappear as previously happened. This is especially annoying as many are just updates throughout the day which I can see as soon as I open the app and feel the additional clicking very infuriating. I also do not need to see how much I owe/spend for nursery every time I go into the app; I know what I am spending and do not need reminding of it regularly throughout the day. I, personally, preferred the previous version and feel that this is not an improvement.

### 1/5 — No stars

*2025-02-26, version 5.0.0*

3 step process , app goes black after first sign in , apparently I don’t know my child’s birthday ( the third log in step ) , still haven’t managed to to log in . Who needs a three step log in to access a child’s accident form or find out how much breakfast they’ve eaten ? No stars

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Notifications keep breaking

*2026-07-17, version 6.0.4*

After installing the app, after about a week or so, the notifications stop coming through and the only way to get them to come back is reinstalling the app again. Frustrating. It’s not a settings issue as nothing has changed since install.

### 1/5 — It’s really awful UX

*2026-06-22, version 6.0.4*

This app doesn’t make use of any password manager. It loggs you out all the time.
Keeps sending irrelevant push notifications that contain advertisements and keeps telling you in emails you could turn on push notifications and turn off the emails. It’s one of the most annoying apps for such a simple job.

### 1/5 — Uploads won’t load

*2026-01-07, version 6.0.1*

My sons nursery upload videos and pictures of their Day and none of the videos seem to be loading after freshing the app and deleting re installing it too. Tried this on my partners phone and still the same problem

### 1/5 — Basically useless

*2025-11-24, version 6.0.1*

The updates (observations) are far from real time and follow days or weeks after the nursery adds them. They’ve told us that the app queues them up and posting them to us is delayed.

### 1/5 — You can find way better app out there!

*2025-09-26, version 6.0.0*

Not user friendly at all. This is by far one of the worst app stored in my phone (I have no choice, it’s the one imposed by the nursery). It’s like it was designed 20years ago!

### 1/5 — Constant error messages

*2025-09-26, version 6.0.0*

Unable to use at all. I receive notifications to my device but when I click on the app to look at them I receive constant error messages either saying I have no internet connection (which I do) or just a message saying an error occurred. Our nursery has recently transferred to this app and I can’t use it at all

### 1/5 — App doesn’t work

*2025-09-01, version 5.1.3*

I’m running on IOS 18.6.2, app was working fine but now it doesn’t work at all, tried deleting and redownloading but it still doesn’t work

### 1/5 — Failed

*2025-09-01, version 5.1.3*

Tried to open the APP for 1000 times but it keeps showing no connection to internet! There has no problem with my internet at all! Tried to restart and remove and install again nothing works!

### 1/5 — Very limited functionality

*2025-05-26, version 5.0.9*

There is no search function or area in the app for the nursery to store policies or processes. So if you need to know these things this app is useless. The app should be good at providing a timeline of photos and updates throughout the day but it’s often very delayed. Up to 24h behind sometimes! Oh and the notifications are useless, they are duplicates of each other and never actually tell you what they are - meaning you end up with a sea of notifications that all say “a new post has been published “ and nothing else.

If you’re a nursery considering this app - honestly don’t. You’d have more functionality and usability setting up a WhatsApp group!

### 1/5 — I don’t recommend it

*2025-03-20, version 5.0.5*

An app in 2025 that doesn’t allow to zoom in on pictures..how is that even possible?
An app that sends you delayed emails from the past week.
The only reason why we use it it’s because that’s the only way to get updates from the nursery.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Refreshed look and Feel looks really good!

*2025-02-26, version 5.0.0*

I am really happy with the new look and usability of the app. Everything seems to have been refreshed and thoughtfully designed.

Conversations feature is a real game changer and improved the way parents communicate with the nursery.

Well done! 🙌🏻🎉

### 5/5 — Great update

*2025-02-25, version 5.0.0*

Well done for the update. It looks amazing now.

### 5/5 — Great update

*2025-02-22, version 5.0.0*

An amazing update, looks and feels so much better! I love the new timeline view too

### 5/5 — Huge improvement

*2025-02-21, version 5.0.0*

The app before was an awkward web based app, awkward to use, difficult to navigate and generally looked quite unappealing. The new app is a huge improvement, simpler to navigate, more pleasing and satisfying to use, and you can tell there’s probably many more simple changes to come that’ll really improve it bit by bit.

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2024-06-18, version 3.3.0*

Great and easy to use!

### 5/5 — Good for parents

*2020-07-02*

Every evening i can check how my little one slept, what she ate or ho much milk she drank, if she had wet/soiled nappy so i am best prepared to continue the care at home. I also love to see some pictures of my baby at nursery so i can see what she is doing/has achieved. I think it makes the communication with the staff easier.

### 5/5 — Good to know

*2019-10-04*

It’s always good to know on a daily basis what our son has learned in nursery. Time is limited for parents to often stop and chat to nursery staff, but this app offers a daily insight to what your child has done. Even better, parents can also interact with the app to show nursery staff various photos and achievements made at home. Top marks. Excellent and would recommend 👍👍

### 5/5 — I Enjoy the Regular, Recent Updates

*2019-10-01*

This supersedes a different app previously used at our nursery & Eylog offers so much more! Notifications via e-mail are great & the range of features including Meal details, nappy changes, sleeps & achievements/activities. Overall these give a good insight to the day each of my children is having at nursery on days they attend.

### 4/5 — Much better but needs a bit more improvement

*2025-02-27, version 5.0.0*

The app is much more user friendly and less complicated but now you can only see the latest observation, whereas before it saved all previous observations which was lovely to look back at. Please bring this back!

### 4/5 — Name change

*2025-02-25, version 5.0.0*

I’ve got married since setting up my profile but I’m unable to change my surname within the app. How do I do this please?
