We got the Frozen microphone Dec 2024, one for each of our kids (3yo and almost 2). The almost 2 yr old repeatedly pushes the biggest button, which is the one that does nothing but tell you to connect the EZ Link app. So the way it works (if you can get it to connect which took a few tries) is that you have to have the app open while your kid pushes the button and then it opens your music app to the frozen soundtrack. You have to then push play on your music app on your phone…. And the music plays on your phone. It’s not so helpful. It would actually be more helpful and fewer taps for me to say “hey siri, play frozen”. ### 2/5 — Doesn’t work👺 *2024-11-30* I tried it for 50 times it does not work. Why have an app to open your music player? I thought it would come with a free playlist or something, but no.. it just opens up music apps you already have downloaded. Sure, there’s a “free” playlist on YouTube but if you don’t have YouTube premium then you’ll be listening to ads for ages. …On a good note, connecting was easy but that’s it. There’s no fun interface to select songs. ### 1/5 — Works kind of *2025-04-07* We set up the app with an Encanto machine and when we click the ez link button once or long press it it goes to the same playlist. I don’t understand the need for an app at all for an audio streaming device it seems extremely redundant. If the goal is to make the experience easier for the customer it adds a layer of complexity. For reference I run a dealership service department and have an extensive home theater seat up and am well above “technology savy” And can not get this app to work or communicate. Great app! It did take about 1 min for it to pair but the microphone played the music and theres no errors! ### 5/5 — Perfect *2022-08-07* It did everything it said it could ### 5/5 — Here’s how to set up EZ Link feature on your karaoke machine. *2022-07-12, version 1.3* 1. after the unit is fully charged, flip the switch on the unit to take it out of demo mode and flip it to the on position.. step two. Flip the mode switch to Bluetooth mode. If it is in the USB mode it will not pair with the product or smart device you also cannot use the EZ Link feature in USB mode, it Needs to be in Bluetooth mode. you also cannot use the EZ Link feature in USB mode, it Must be in Bluetooth mode. The Mode switch is what needs to be in Bluetooth mode. The mode switch needs to be switched to Bluetooth mode. The EZ Link feature will not work in USB mode. The EZ Link feature will not work in USB mode. So it has to be in Bluetooth mode. Step three. Once the karaoke machine is in Bluetooth mode, you will need to go into your settings and select the pairing name for your product. Step four after selecting the pairing name for your product, open the EZ Link app. Step five, press the set up new device button after selecting the pairing name for your product, The product name will include part of this EZ-Link 554 along with a couple more letters that may be different for each karaoke machine. after connected, click on set up new device. Before clicking on set up new device, you need to make sure that your karaoke machine is connected to the smart phone. Also, if it if the app asks, If the app asks permission to access Bluetooth, you need to click allow. If you click don’t allow this app will not work. you must click the allow access button. Bluetooth access is only needed for using the EZ Link feature. After clicking the set up device button, follow the instructions to set up The easy link feature on the device. ### 5/5 — Easy to use *2021-12-25, version 1.3* Quick set up the app did work you can press the star button and it plays music from your streaming device as long as your connected through Bluetooth as well it plays the Disney hits playlist on Spotify if you click twice and the Encanto soundtrack if pressed twice I love it my daughter loves it ### 5/5 — Don’t believe the bad reviews *2021-12-25* I’m assuming anybody who gave this a one star didn’t turn the thing around and chance the setting from demo to on and/or didn’t change it from usb to Bluetooth. We got two of them working in 45 seconds. Works perfectly.
