Got a text an hour before messages should have gone out that they all bounced and even though the night before I was on a free trial now when I logged in it said I have to pay first. Shady. And even making the account took ages because for whatever reason the account was ‘under review’. And they don’t pick the phone. Would not recommend. Avoid at all costs ### 1/5 — Is there a negative stars option? *2023-09-12, version 1.5.2* Avoid like the plague. I gave EZ text all the chances in the world. Was with them for months. Constant issues with messages either getting bounced, or not able to receive messages. The customer support is virtually non existent, any tech issues literally take days to resolve. They’re cheap and shame on me, you get what you pay for. I’ve switched to another provider and it’s a different world. Also, the UI is limited and doesn’t offer nearly as many options as other providers. Again, avoid and move on to another option. I’m at Text Request now and it’s so much better! ### 1/5 — Buyer beware if you use this after hours *2023-06-12, version 1.5.2* I downloaded this to communicate with just-graduated high schoolers at a safe grad overnight party. It locked us out halfway through because I told the grads to join a bingo game as one of the activities. No one available to help and the account remained locked until the next day when the party was well over. I now have thousands of unused credits and customer service said I need to use them by next month. I explained we only hold this party every year and asked that we roll the credits until then. They refused. We will never use this service again for our annual party. ### 3/5 — Small biz owner use *2023-04-24* I’ve been using this app for about 3 months now. It’s a bit glitchy and functionality is limited. For example, there is no way to interact with a texted photo. So, can’t save it, or resend it elsewhere and can’t even expand it to view it. This needs to be fixed. Gave it 3 stars bc it does work most of the time for pure texting purpose. That said, notifications are inconsistent even with them turned on, maybe that’s my issue with iPhone, but I do have notification alerts turned on. ### 2/5 — Limited Features *2023-03-05, version 1.5.2* This is a cost efficient product for the nonprofit organization I work with. However, the app is limited. You cannot use any of the group chat functions from the website on the app. I am very disappointed and will look for an alternative solution once our year is up with this service. ### 2/5 — 5 stars if you enable group text *2023-01-06, version 1.5.2* I can add a group but no option to send to a group on the app. Doesn’t show the names when selecting multiple numbers and also can’t select all to add multiple numbers to a contact group at once. ### 1/5 — Be careful *2022-03-29, version 1.4.0* This is a pretty crummy company and product. There seems to be no actual accounting of using credits. Texts are censored and your account can be blocked for just talking about health products. (I don’t like the idea my text are be monitored but apparently all of them are allowed to by some new federal law) Customer service is the worst, try getting anyone in a timely manner to address any issues(which there are many). I suggest finding another platform than using this one. ### 1/5 — TERRIBLE DO NOT GET *2021-12-26, version 1.3.4* I downloaded this app but as soon as I open it it says to LOG IN to my ez texting account but I don’t have one and there is no way to sign up. Plz fix this or I WILL delete ### 2/5 — Where are my notifications? *2021-10-09, version 1.3.4* The app is easy enough to use, but I rarely if ever receive notifications for new messages, leading to huge delays in getting back to customers or potential customers. ### 2/5 — Makes you use up your credits *2021-06-08, version 1.3.2* When making reoccurring group texts, it will keep resetting the date to the day and time that your making the text. Instead of the future date and time you entered in to start the reoccurring text campaign. Be careful when editing the reoccurring text as well. Unnecessary use of my money/credit. They need to fix this crap. A rip off. ### 3/5 — 5 stars if you enable MMS *2020-10-16, version 1.3.1* I’m the Global VP of HR for a multinational conglomerate, we use eztexting internally for employee communications and recently started using the keyword feature to receive photos with my employees’ health checks and photos of their temperatures taken on a wall-mounted infrared contactless thermometer. Well, this would work great, but the app doesn’t show the photos! The website does (thankfully) and the e-mails contain links to the photos. I was considering switching to another platform recently and now I’m seriously considering it after finding out this flaw in the functionality of a MOBILE application. ### 3/5 — Don’t Use It Find A Alternative *2020-08-04, version 1.2* They took my number now I can’t receive text or calls the phone company said there’s nothing they can do. They refuse to acknowledge it that’s bad customer service. I run a IT & Digital Marketing company it’s important my customers be able to call me. ### 1/5 — Worse app ever *2020-07-29, version 1.2* It took 3 weeks, 4 emails and 2 phone conversations before my account was actually set up so that I could use it. Each time I was told that my account was set up and ready for use but it wasn’t. I never got to use the trial. Customer service repeatedly told me not to worry because my credits would still be available after the trial period since I hadn’t been able to try the app. As soon as the trial ended, my credits disappeared. I had already posted my information on social media for an account I no longer have access to. Suddenly no one wants to respond to my emails. Even reached out to Casey, who emails me every day with different ways of trying the app but no response from him either. The service in line is great. The app only is good for notifications on the Lock Screen. The app is totally useless for reading messages. It crashes as soon as you open it and if it does open it crashes as soon as you try to read the messages. Useless when on the go because nothing can be read without logging into the online account. Needs serious work. ### 1/5 — Rip off *2026-01-12, version 1.5.2* First you pay, and then they get you through an extensive verification process that takes days. They won’t give you any refund. You already paid so at this point you have to go through the verification process. After the process the texts get sent at times but most of the times they are in review and someone needs to manually pass them. After 1 month of service (right after I paid for another month of subscription) my text didn’t go through. After 2 days I contacted them through the chat only to find out that they needed me to go through the verification again. They won’t give me any refund and they refused to send my text. Bad service. I’m out. ### 1/5 — Beware, could be a scam *2025-12-04* The app seem fine when you send a text to yourself. On the free trial you can even upload your contacts and everything seem fine so you pay $75 for a month of service only to then get onto a long “verification procedure”. If you are not approved they won’t let you send any message and you don’t get any refund. So you throw away any money you pay with no refund and no service whatsoever. ### 1/5 — Crashes & can’t easily view things *2025-11-11, version 1.5.2* This app crashes and I can’t easily see attachments or zoom in. The customer service is horrible and you have to wait forever to chat with them. They are indeed inconsistent. There have been so many issues with the service and when I asked for a refund within the 30 days, they didn’t honor their terms of service. I provided screenshots of issues (when their site actually works) etc. I would NEVER recommend. Their credits for texts are super unclear and good luck trying to get help from them in the moment. ### 1/5 — DO NOT PURCHASE 🗑️🗑️🗑️🗑️ *2025-05-25, version 1.5.2* If I could give no stars I would. The representatives are inconsistent and divided within their protocols and approach to assistance. The carrier registration , which is supposed to be a one time thing required to do upon registration .. Would magically unregistered my account at least twice a month and take days for reinstatement blocking me from being able to send out messages and losing money because I couldn’t market to my clientele base about new products that required timely marketing strategies. I paid a monthly fee and somehow every time I send out a message it required more and more money. This app is absolutely a waste. Do not get it. I quit the app, deleted it and downloaded it again and nothing would work. I can do group text blasts directly from the phone now and I have access to everything the website has. It makes it so easy to send my leads messages from anywhere. I hardly have to touch the messaging anymore since I have workflows now to automate everything.
