Your points expire after a year. Also, a delivery charge of $30+ disguised as the overhead and profit they receive due to using their app is pretty insane. They deactivated my first account without notice. I was wondering why I couldn’t login. Getting frustrated I signed up with another email address so that I could get my workplace food. I placed an order the night before, and it said it was accepted and submitted. without my knowledge they canceled my order. Luckily, I had called the restaurant directly and they were still able to accept my order. When I called EzCater, I was informed that both of my accounts were deactivated without my knowledge, and they can’t reactivate it. So they just lost a customer. Beware that they could cancel and deactivate your account without knowledge. ### 1/5 — Great when it works, a disaster when it doesn’t. *2025-08-03, version 9.2* I’ve been a user for a couple of years now. I place orders regularly for catering work meetings and events. I had a recent issue where my order (a couple dozen pizzas) arrived in 2 parts- 45 mins late and ~90 mins late, respectively. Worse yet, the pizzas were transported via bicycle and were clearly inverted in transit. They arrived late, and in pretty horrendous shape. The best EZ cater could do for me was a 50% refund. This service works alright when it works as expected and when it’s a disaster (like this case) your work reputation gets damaged and the company does a pretty awful job at owning their issue and resolving it. ### 1/5 — Less then professional *2025-07-05, version 9.2* Over all it’s a good idea, however the way they go about submitting the orders lacks professional. The shops that use ezCater get an email, instead of sending an order directly to the company. It seems like extra steps for the customer, and extra steps for the business. Needed food for 200, no confirmation from the restaurant, no updates from ezCater. Used the live chat and their solution was to wait longer and hope the restaurant would respond. You have to request every single thing and describe it. My meal scheduling with physicians (and personal events), has been simplified and efficient thru this system. Pick caterer, give info for meal, auto pay and receipt in account for easy Upload. Food delivered to account, on time, set up if desired and I just am there to begin presentations. Would be caring more stress if I had to complete all meal planning events, on my own. Even have back up when an order is challenged. EZ CATER tracks process, and event date delivery. I don’t concern myself with this part of meal planning. EZ CATER works for me!
