To put a long story short, it’s completely inconvenient, the customer service do absolutely nothing to help your case, you can forget about a refund because i’ve been on call multiple times with the team and have been emailed saying the case will be escalated only to get an email 10 minutes later each time saying it’s been resolved. I will be calling my bank and getting a refund as well as never ever recommending this service to anyone. There’s no phone holder or car play for maps, they are late for pick up and ended up making me do the work by taking pictures of the car etc. They do not accommodate to you nor do they care. Please save yourself the headache go to a traditional car rental company. I’d rather pay extra for my peace of mind. ### 1/5 — I DONT RECOMMEND DEALING WITH THEM !!! *2026-04-18, version 2.2.0* A very unreliable company. They blocked my car for six days, and they don't respond to messages or phone calls at all. When you call, you promise to call back, but you never get a call. But the worst part is, they just charge my cards! There's no explanation, they don't plan to refund my money, and I don't want to extend my days either! I don't recommend dealing with them!!! ### 1/5 — Sketchy *2026-03-24, version 2.1.8* they are super sketchy, weren’t on time weren’t clear about salik charges and they charged my card after 2 months for salik apparently and they didn’t mention anything before that ### 1/5 — Worst car rental experience! *2026-01-06, version 2.1.3* eZhire contracts with third party rental car companies and provides only the interface. Nevertheless, potential customers beware as there are numerous didden charges and expect many delays! The app was actually easy to use to select a car for rental, but it doesn't disclose many other costs. After completing the rental, eZhire charged for additional costs, including: 1 - Tolls (not unusual to have tolls, but info to expect them or even how to avoid them would have been appreciated). An additional USD $12. 2 - Gas (car delivered with tank half full). I asked the delivery agent how to return the car, and was told to return it with the same amount of gas (3 bars displayed - half a tank) but was subsequently charged for additional gas and a service charge because it should have been delivered with 5 bars (3/4 tank) visible. An additional $15. Not sure how the contracted car company (Legend World Rent a Car) had a different amount... perhaps the car was driven for the hour plus prior to delivery? 3 - Extra kilometer/mileage charge. Nothing clearly shared about a limit to how far the car could be driven without additional cost. We drove from Dubai to Abu Dhabi and back and exceeded the undisclosed limit. An additional $10. Not arguing about additional charges, and they are not exhorbitant, but some clear, advanced disclosure would be appropriate. Problem also is that not all of the additional costs are explained in the app. Just new costs with a "Tax Invoice", and the tolls were disclosed as "SALIK". Worst part of the experience is that the car was delivered 85 mins late (scheduled for 10am, delivered at 11:22am) to the JW Marriott hotel in Business Bay. I called eZhire at 10:03am to ask about the delivery. They said that I needed to send my location by dropping a pin which I then did at 10:07am (even though they had the delivery location). Was told the car would arrive in 20 mins (approx 10:25am). After texting my location to the driver, at 10:40am a different driver requested my location via pin. I received the car at 11:22am. No response to my calls or texts and no communication by the drivers in the meantime, and eZhire could not update me regarding the delivery time. My family and I waited out front of the hotel and in the lobby. When I called eZhire at 10:03am, the manager Hamsa Hamid blamed the delay on me, saying I should have sent a pin sooner (even though eZhire had the name of the hotel). He said he had called earlier to get the pin (he called at 10:03am). We lost valuable time for our use of the car, were tired waiting in front of the hotel, and was treated poorly by the eZhire staff. No apologies ever provided, just new charges popping up; not sure if more will come... This is not what I had expected from a company in the UAE. But that is clearly eZhire practice. Easy Hire seems fine at first, but the moment you pick up or return a car, unexpected “non-rental” fees start appearing—sometimes even tied to old bookings you already finished. I’m still getting unexplained deductions. They don’t do any proper checks before charging your card; they deduct first and only ask questions later. The whole experience feels careless and untrustworthy. The only reason I use the service was because it accepts debit card and I don’t use credit.
