One runs exceptionally well. The second continuously fails to record even when I can hear someone directly outside my door. I have to keep deleting and re-adding the camera, which is incredibly frustrating, and even when I do it fails within a day or two. ### 4/5 — My honest review *2024-01-03, version 1.8.0* I have given a 4star rating as nothing is perfect but this product is dammed close, perfect for home security, baby, nanny, and pet watching. I have several cameras at different locations and occasionally they need resetting, unfortunately the cameras are useless until I can arrive and physically reset them, resetting from the app would make vacationing more enjoyable. ### 4/5 — Can You *2023-10-02, version 1.8.0* Can you please add an option not to turn off video transmission while Im looking through the recorded videos or live video ? I have my unit plugged 24/7 in to the wall and don’t need to save on batteries, and it’s very annoying when suddenly video stops for asking me to continue or exit. Please make this option. Plus it will be very need if I could save the original footage saved on the sd card ,not video screen recording you give us to do, thanks. Great resolution and image quality and they are extremely good value for money. I find the the app works really well and have not had any real issues. Very easy to share with another family members, as we use the cameras to help with the well being of an elderly parent. The app was easy to set up and is very easy to access when out and about. Tried even password change in the main app with no luck. ### 1/5 — HD?? *2024-10-19* So, exactly what is the point of this app compare with the one without “HD”?? Initially, I downladed their other App and after days & long nights to figure things out - finally my peephole device became up and running - loooong story! Now - in my “library” I see bunch of clips. Then, when done watching and nothing useful - I found out there are 10’s more clips but not showing up in the main / primary list. Those were the clips that had critical information. Now - there is no way to actually save them except unless I pick up the phone and ask developers of this App! On another note, does App know you guys have direct link within your app to pay for subscription without paying Apple’s cut?!! ### 1/5 — Cannot use EZviz app on LAN, needs active internet..... *2022-01-23, version 1.0.0* I have a big problem with this app and the whole system. It seems that you need a constant internet connection in order to use the app and access the camera view and the content saved to your SD card locally. Even the cameras cannot be viewed using the official app without an active internet connection. This is really bad as the cameras are on the local area network, which is completely separate from the internet. Please give us the option to access the cameras (via the app), using the local area network, instead of requiring access to the WAN(internet). I don’t always have internet access via my router, and this means I cannot use your app to access the system. I can still view the RTSP stream using third party software, but not using the official ezviz app. This needs to be sorted, because if anyone loses their internet, they would lose access to the cameras if they are only using the ezviz app. I need an app that works on the LAN without an internet connection, as I cannot always get a connection, but the LAN is always available. Please Add LAN SUPPORT, it is an essential requirement. ### 2/5 — Needless lack of function. *2025-07-01, version 1.8.1* Many features of the app are purposely disallowed forcing use of the phone app. Being able to use a bigger screen and a more proper would be useful but the manufacturer doesn’t feel like having those enabled. ### 2/5 — Limited *2024-11-15, version 1.8.1* EZVIZ HD is no where near as good as the normal EZVIZ app. I’d stick with the standard app if I were you. ### 2/5 — Hate it on tablet. *2024-09-10, version 1.8.1* On tablet this app sucks. I have walked in front of it and out of shot without it moving. The only pan and tilt working is on the manual app. I have the setting on HD, yet the slightest enlargement ends up with pixilated number plates that are unreadable. No troubleshooting on the minuscule manual either! I have flagged these concerns with the ‘support’ but have yet to have a response. Love them! ### 5/5 — Good, Reliable & Economical Security Cameras *2024-04-19, version 1.8.0* I’ve been using them (multiple EZVIZ models including door bell cameras) for several years now and am very happy with their performance. One operational point (limitation?) needs to be stressed: Namely, you must have a strong WiFi signal for the live view to work seamlessly. If your signal strength is waning, live view will likely ‘freeze’ often which is quite annoying. Your best bet is to mount the camera(s) near your router if possible, or better yet, install a full home Mesh System. Wifi works great with them, the pictures are clear, this app is the one to have. Cameras are used indoors set in windows to monitor outside my home, front back and side.
