## What is eZwayZ "easy ways"?

EZWAYZ NAVIGATION MAKES BUILDINGS ACCESSIBLE TO EVERYONE
eZwayZ (pronounced easy ways) is an inclusive indoor navigation app that enables independent indoor navigation for people with a visual impairment. It is an inclusive app developed together with people who have a visual impairment and can be used by everyone.

REGISTER LOCATIONS
At the moment, you can test the app at, among others, the following locations in the Netherlands. Check the app for the complete and most up-to-date overview: Atrium Bartiméus in Zeist, Plein1 Heemstede, NEMO Science Museum Amsterdam, Mediamuseum Hilversum, Rijksmuseum Amsterdam and the train stations Arnhem, Zwolle and Den Bosch. FOLLOW THE VIBE
The app guides you to your destination with a combination of visual route display, audio and haptic signals (vibrates and makes a sound when you are going in the right direction), and spoken route instructions. You can choose the combination that best suits your own abilities.
You can use the app to determine your location, plan your route and explore your surroundings: what is in my immediate vicinity?

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION BEFORE USING THE APP
Please note: this app is still in a testing phase. People who are blind may use the app ONLY UNDER SUPERVISION.

Please read the quick-start or manual carefully before using the app. The quick-start starts automatically when you install the app for the first time. You can find the manual in the app’s settings.

The app is NOT A SUBSTITUTE for your orientation and mobility skills, but is intended as an additional tool. It is not a replacement for, for example, a white cane, guide dog or other primary mobility aid. For your personal safety it is important to remain aware of your surroundings at all times while using the app. You can of course also go out together with someone, which might even make it more fun!

By using the app, you agree that the use of the eZwayZ app is at your own risk.

SUITABLE IPHONE WITH INTERNET CONNECTION
We recommend at least an iPhone 8 or newer for the app to work properly. The app requires an internet connection, so make sure you are connected to a Wi-Fi network or turn on your mobile internet.

Fixed an issue where certain destinations could not be reached.
Optimized route generation and refreshing.
Relevant information about elevators and stairs is now displayed.
Improved determination of the correct floor.

### 3.1.1 — 2026-07-15

New features
- Now you can choose between Metric and Imperial units for users in the United States.
- Navigation instructions, such as turn guidance and the starting position, are now disabled by default to provide a calmer start with fewer distractions.
- The "almost at your destination" notification is now announced at 4 metres instead of 5 metres.
- A new Stairs only navigation option has been added.
- The app no longer plays a sound when your position is automatically refreshed during navigation. 

Bug fixes
- Improved the guidance line.
- Optimized haptic feedback and navigation sounds.
- Fixed an issue where some devices did not announce when the destination had been reached.
- Improved the timing of elevator and stair guidance.

### 3.1.0 — 2026-06-02

Profiles have been updated. Choose the non-visual profile for more detailed haptic feedback and voice instructions.
Choose the standard profile, which places greater emphasis on the use of high contrast visual elements such as an arrow where to go, or follow the virtual guide line.
Optimisation of position detection using vibrations for the non-visual profile 
In-app feedback form linked directly to the service desk.
Changing floors is indicated more clearly using an arrow and voice instructions.
Receive information about your surroundings and what there is to do. For example, you are now passing a toilet before entering the museum, or you are passing Vermeer’s ‘The Milkmaid’ on your left.
Instructions are kept as concise as possible whilst navigating.
When installing the app, it is made clearer that the camera and location services must be enabled in order to navigate.
TalkBack and VoiceOver optimisation make the app even more accessible.
Interactive Quick Start (IQS) does not start automatically on first launch, but you can choose to enable it.

Bug fixes & improvements:
- Improved pronunciation of informational messages when you are nearby.
- Informational messages are now displayed more accurately near stairs and elevators.

New features:
- Light enhancement during localization, allowing for more accurate positioning.

Elevators and switching floors now are more seamless then before. 
Tours have been made more accessible.
We did some optimizations and bugfixing.
