The ‘scan’ does not work at all. The set reminder option crashes the app. Yes it seems to allow renewals if you enter all details manually.

Please fix the Barcode Scanner. Why have it, if it is broken. It has never worked for me since using this app. The problem seems to be focusing on the barcode with my smartphone.

The app needs to be updated enabling auto focus on the camera. You have to be so far away from the barcode to get it in focus that it doesn’t detect the barcode. Get in closer and it is blurry, it’s a simple fix, enable auto focus.

Just received a $556 fine in the mail because I drove unregistered 8 days after it was due because the app didn’t send my reminder notification like I’d set it up to do. Why offer the option if it doesn’t work!? 
I noticed the app crashed when I last paid my rego and clicked the reminder button, but I didn’t think it meant that I wouldn’t get the reminder sent. 
Terrible app, I wouldn’t rely on it to send you notifications. Fix this ASAP

Good app and I’ve nicer had an issue until now. When I pay my rego and set a reminder for the next due date, when I press the reminder button, the app crashes and does not update my calendar like it used to. Please fix as this was one of the most important feature of the app

Barcode scanner hasn’t worked in years. Crashes when you try to set a payment reminder. Can’t autofill saved credit cards… 3 things that should just work these days and would make this app absolutely nail it’s purpose, but instead it seems the government can’t be bothered fixing it and it’s a recurring frustration. Shame.

Why have the option to scan if it doesn’t work. iPhone 13 latest update , didn’t work before update and doesn’t work now. Hasn’t for a long time!! Crashes when you try to use set reminder option

The app support page link in the App Store here goes to a 404 error page. I think that sums it up nicely : The barcode scanning feature of the bill has never worked and if a communication error happens it’s advices to check if you’ve registered your car through the app again and start the payment again if not using the website it is actually quicker and easier than this app. the only disadvantages the website doesn’t add a reminder in your calendar.

I just got a $573 fine because I had no idea that my attempt to renew registration didn’t go through. I tried again to renew registration using the app and after the payment “processes” it goes through to a green screen that has no alert to say the payment failed. I had the money in my account so it seems that the payment function just doesn’t work and the app can’t identify for itself whether or not it has worked.

The app was working well, but for quite some time the  “set calender reminder” feature” is offered, but actually doesn’t work if you check your calender after setting the reminder. People could get caught out with rego expiring without a reminder.

I’m surprised at all the bad reviews.

I’ve never tried the barcode scanner, so I can understand that you’d be annoyed if you wanted to use that feature, and it didn’t work. But that’s just one of the various features of the app.

I’ve had no trouble with the other features - eg. checking my own or other peoples’ registrations, and renewing my registration using a debit card. All those features are intuitive and functional as far as I can see.

My only criticism is that if you click the “set reminder” button, it just says “reminder set” (or words to that effect), but doesn’t automatically show you the new reminder in your calendar. And for some reason, you can’t successfully search for that reminder by its entry text - the calendar app just does not find it! And the new entry seems to only support a single alert, not two alerts like all my other calendar entries do.

The app does not provide a way to advise of such problems, and the developers clearly don’t read here. I’ll still give it 4 stars, because it lets me easily check or renew my registration, which is really all that I want it to do.

Would recommend this app. Easy enough to use, does what it’s meant for. However, there is a barcode scanner for renewing your rego that I’ve never gotten to work. It just won’t recognize there’s a barcode even when placed perfectly still and in position in good lighting. If this was fixed would definitely be a 5* app.

One of my favourite features of this app was that it was as easy as pressing one button to set a payment reminder.  Now it doesn’t work, says there is an error even though I gave it access to my calendar. Please fix

“EzyReg server is currently down, please try again later” it’s said that for months now. Not to mention the formatting in the app needs a going over. This was a great app as it is easy to use, convenient and could put reminders for vehicle registration in my phone calendar, which would also display on my watch. It’d be good if the app was fixed and returned to its once former glory. Fingers crossed.
