The reviewer writes that the developers are working on a fix for the VPN turning on when a Mac wakes from sleep mode. However, the F-Secure representative responding here clearly doesn't know this issue has already been resolved. Thanks for the outdated information and the formal reply. But a new problem has emerged. On Apple devices, automatic connection protection and Kill Switch don't work if the VPN is disabled. In this case, even though the VPN is disabled, these enabled features should prevent a connection without the VPN. But they don't. That is, they don't work. So if you forget to turn on the VPN and go online, these features don't prevent you from connecting. A full VPN is only available in the separate F-Secure VPN app. F-Secure Mobile Security/Safe include Safe Browsing, which uses a background VPN for protection, but it has no manual on/off switch. Allein in den letzten 24 Stunden über 350 MB. Dies trotz 95%iger W-Lan-Verbindung! However, when I do so, it consumes another license from my account, even though my phone is already registered. I had to remove the “old” license just to free up enough licenses to log in on another already-registered device, as it too demanded a “new” license. On a somewhat unrelated note, I have sent emails to the official online seller, Cleverbridge (?), regarding billing and promo codes for two years in a row, but have yet to receive a single response. **Developer response:** Hello, Thank you for reaching out and sharing your experience. The amount of scam emails I still receive is ridiculous, frustrating and frightening can you help!? ### 1/5 — Auf dem iPhone der größte Virus *2025-12-02* Blockt ständig harmlose deutsche (!) Foren z.B. Beispiel das für Schwerhörige Hörgeräteträger (Manchmal ist es frei, dann wieder geblockt). Oder normale Webseiten zu professionellen IT Themen (hauptsächlich auch deutsche). Im Verlauf kommt man dann auch nicht mehr zurück zur Suchanfrage auf google, mit dem eigentlichen link gehen. Kann also von vorne anfangen zu suchen. Es nervt kolossal. Reason? No longer works for subscriptions originally taken out via Virgin Media apparently (even though I stopped using Virgin Media years ago!). So no longer fit for purpose and F-Secure support unable to help. Consequently I’m left with a worthless and useless App taking up space on my phone. As someone that has their identity stolen in the past, I haven’t had a problem since using F-Secure with their original VPN protocol and now newly offered VPN protocols.
