You cannot cast the longstanding commentary with Martin Brundle and company and if you decide to minimize the video screen, the audio reverts back to the standard F1 commentary. It’s really disappointing because I like the extra coverage F1 TV broadcasting provides but sometimes I want to listen to the legends and the app now makes it harder to listen to the standard F1 commentary. ### 2/5 — Now with ads like Apple TV *2026-08-25, version 2.44.0* Now after paying an extra premium to keep F1 tv pro without those annoying apple ads even this app shows ads now. Still the commentary does not match what you are seeing on screen probably 30 % of the time. Also you can just forget fairness of time on commentary of the drivers. This is MAX TV. We hear mostly about Max and we ride along with Max even when he is not in contention. We have a historic young new driver leading the championship and Lando is the current champion but all we hear about is Max. ### 4/5 — Poor playback controls *2026-08-22, version 2.44.0* Was fine stars but they’ve changed the playback controls to be a lot harder to use rather than just using the ootb ones which is a shame. Lastly when beginning to view a race that is still undergoing you are forced to view live footage even if you choose to “view from beginning”. Do better F1 ### 3/5 — love the new ui, but why did you disable screenshots? *2026-08-14, version 2.44.0* love the updated ui and picture in picture, which provides a much smoother and more pleasant viewing experience than before. however, i have to say i’m very disappointed that screenshots have been disabled in the app. i get preventing screenshots for the current race when it’s live. however once a race finishes, i don’t think they should be blocked because it prevents is from capturing some of the notable moments that happen. i have previously used screenshots and screen recordings to analyze and talk about the aforementioned moments with friends, and as a fan of the sport, this does, however little it may be, hinder our ability to engage with it. i strongly urge you to reconsider this decision. ### 4/5 — Very good *2026-07-29, version 2.43.0* Really good app to watch Grand Prix from previous years, you need to pay to watch anything but it’s seriously worth it, would be better if you could play races and switch off the phone and let it continue playing in the background. Ever since selling the streaming rights to Apple and moving the subscription to be primarily through the Apple TV app, this app has had nothing but “video error”s and constant quality degradation. Horrible of Apple. ### 1/5 — Race result spoilers in notifications!! *2026-07-27, version 2.43.0* Unless you can religiously watch evey race, this godawful app will SPOIL the results of a race by sending asinine notifications containing headlines which will spoil the outcome of a race. I genuinely feel like I should get monetary compensation, because I pay to have access to watch F1 races. I am not happy about this at all. It provides live race updates, timing, standings, driver and team information, and plenty of useful content all in one place. I especially like being able to follow the action in real time and stay updated even when I’m away from the TV. I really enjoy the pre-race and all the great information. The app is easy to navigate and makes following the entire F1 season much more enjoyable. I also love the huge archive of past races, documentaries, and exclusive content, which is perfect during the off-season or if you want to relive iconic moments. The app is easy to navigate, the streaming quality is excellent, and it’s become my go-to way to follow every race weekend. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or just getting into Formula 1, this platform adds so much depth to the sport.
