This app should allow you to start and stop multiple Zooms but it doesn’t. The developers could add this feature in the app but Zoom seems to make apps and never update them. Going with a much lessor known company for my lavs. ### 2/5 — Has a lot of potential, but doesn’t work for multiple F2 recorders *2023-05-06, version 1.1.0* Hi want to love this app, but as a user of multiple F2 recorders I am unable to monitor my F2s at the same times. So it doesn’t really help me. I love the F2 recorders but as a film maker I need to know for sure that my audio is recording and I don’t want to worry if the talent accidentally moved the switch from hold to off. That would be a nightmare. If I was able to rename my 3 zoom F2 recorders, monitor, and start stop my recordings all on the same screen or swipe from one screen to the next I would love this app. Becuase I can not do this evening actually don’t even want to use my F2s at all. Please update the app, it will be a game changer. ### 2/5 — MUST ADD FEATURES - If you want 5 stars. *2023-01-17, version 1.1.0* 1. Support for multiple F2 units in the app. - Either give us a way to swap between them or show them in a list. This is pretty basic stuff here. 2. Allow renaming of the Bluetooth Name so I can rename them to Pack 1, Pack 2, Pack 3, etc because having 3 units all show up as F2 is pointless as you never know which one you’re connecting to. Outside of this. Everything seems good. ### 2/5 — Good, but restrictive. *2022-06-30, version 1.1.0* This is very good, if you are only using one F2-BT, however, unless I’m missing something, it’s not all it’s cracked up to be when it’s supposedly coming across as a wedding videographers dream solution for audio. What I mean is, for example, at the speeches you may be needing to use three F2-BT’s. One for the groom, one for the best man and one for the brides dad. The app will only connect to one of the F2’s and once connected there is no way to leave it recording, disconnect and then connect to the second and third F2’s to get them recording as well. So it’s fine for the ceremony when you only mic up the groom, but feel proper cheated that I can’t use the BT part for the speeches. So, please add the feature to be able to control more than one, or at least switch BT connection to another F2 without it disrupting what the first connected F2 was doing. Otherwise the BT feature for wedding days is useless. ### 2/5 — Need Gain Control *2021-04-12, version 1.0.0* Please add Gain control. It’s best to have than not having it. The F2 can barely pick up people who are very soft spoken. I have to bring up the gain in post super high just to normalize their volume. Add the gain control so we can adjust input gain. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Useless *2024-02-14, version 1.1.0* The devices could have been so much more useful with an update to allow the controlling of multiple devices at the same time. I have four of them and never use them. ### 1/5 — PLEASE UPDATE! *2023-11-17, version 1.1.0* For the love of god please update the app so we can change the Bluetooth name of the recorders so when we have more than 1 we can figure out which is which. This could be such a great product but since you don’t care about the consumer I’m going to sell them and go to the tascam 32 bit system which has embarrassed this excuse of an implementation. I wanted to love these but come on. ### 1/5 — Hard to use with 2 and more recorders *2023-07-05, version 1.1.0* 1. It is really hard to use with 2 and more recorders at the same time. First of all, the app shows recorders in a random way. For example it shows F2, and F2 (1)… And you will never know which one it is, because it’s always new - it would be easier if I would see a name of the device when connecting. Or: 2. Can I see all of my recorders at the same time? Now I have to open app, and if I want to switch, I have to close app and open it up again. It gonna a nightmare when I use 4 recorders… 3. Privacy… Any one who has an app can connect to my recorder during shooting and stop my recording… Zoom F2-BT is a great product, so application should match it’s quality. ### 1/5 — アプリが機器の性能を潰している *2022-10-26* f2bt本体にイヤホンジャックをささないと音声の再生確認ができないため、リアルタイムのモニタリングができない。 そのためインタビューなどでは致命的で、一通り話し終わった後に機器を外して音声チェック、不具合があれば一から撮り直し。 せっかくBluetoothでアプリと接続してもスマホから音の確認ができないのでは意味がない。 アプリの再生ボタンは本体に直接挿したイヤホンに音を流すもので、アプリの再生ボタンを押してもスマホから音は流れない。 もしアプリからリアルタイムのモニタリングができるようにアップデートしたら飛躍的に使い勝手が良くなるので改善の余地あり。 後は他の方も書いてるが、あ　マルチで接続でるようあわせて改善希望。 ### 1/5 — Nicht ausgereift!! *2022-10-19* Nächstes Update es tut sich einfach nichts !! 😕Unfassbar schlechte App im Vergleich zur Konkurrenz. Nur noch ein Stern. Update fast ein Jahr vergangen und es hat sich NICHTS getan. Beim Tentacle gibt es in regelmäßigen Abständen Neuerungen. Da sollte man sich mal ein Beispiel nehmen Für den Start ganz nett. Aber will man mehr fällt auf das noch einige Funktionen fehlen. SD Karte über die App formatieren oder wenn man mehrere Rekorder hat kann man immer nur einen bedienen. I use 3 or more at a time and it's not convenient at all to switch to the other unit to check. Also it would be nice to rename the each f2 recorder to a custom name. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — AMAZING!!! *2022-03-20, version 1.0.0* Newest firmware update allows formatting through the app. Can only control one F2 at a time but can see all of the available lavs in proximity upon opening the app. Used 8 F2 on set today and tech worked flawlessly. 32-Bit Float is the best. Thank you! ### 5/5 — Bluetooth Control Facts *2021-03-22, version 1.0.0* I was recently at the Downtown Arts Festival in Naples and plan on conducting a podcast with one of the artist, Angus Macaulay in the future on location using the F2-BT. This app would come in handy because I can mic him, record and pause recording from the app and not have to have him do it. Facts: -This app only works with the F2-BT -You can only control one F2-BT at a time with the app -If you have two F2-BT devices you will have to use two separate iOS or Android devices to control each F2-BT device ### 4/5 — Не верное отображение *2025-03-23* Поставил карту на 512 GB. В приложении пишется время записи 99 часов записи, а в настройках 500 часов записи. If the switch is moved to the power off position before the stop recording button is pushed, the entire file is lost. Maybe there could be something done in firmware? 2. Allow us to rename the device so that when we have multiple active it’s easier to distinguish between them. Great other than that. ### 3/5 — Please fix it so I can monitor two f2s simultaneously: *2023-07-14, version 1.1.0* I’m a videographer who has at least two subjects on lavs throughout the shoot. Please Zoom… Please update this app to include dual monitoring or at least being able to identify and label each zoom f2. This is very difficult during a complex set. Now that the Tascam is releasing dr10l pro with dual monitoring, there’s no excuse to not update this feature. Everything else about the app is awesome including the update to format the micro sd.
