I can only rename already existing folders instead of having the option to add new ones. Merci ### 1/5 — Not working *2022-08-19* Recorder shows a connection but the app does not work and only shows the white window for bluetooth devices without showing any device, nothing happens. ### 3/5 — Almost Great *2022-08-06, version 1.2.00* Compared to Sound Devices, and other control apps for competing field recorders… this app is really good. It is missing 1 key element though, and this is easily fixed in a control app update: Using this field recorder, in conjunction with this app is great for monitoring and control, but the problem is that negates the ability to use bluetooth timecode. Either a firmware update on the F6 to allow for both to connect is required (other BT devices allow for multiple connections), or if the dongle is not multi-access capable…. have the app receive the timecode data through bluetooth, and simply update the recorder through the app. It is the same problem/limitation on the F2-BT. Please Zoom…. fix this in the app. It’s super easy and it is in the TCS SDK (They have a slate that works on iOS) ### 1/5 — App Needs To Be Updated *2022-05-17, version 1.2.00* Simply put, the app hasn’t been updated in two years. It no longer works with latest iOS versions. The app initially connects to the recorder but won’t allow the password to be entered. But it NEEDS these features for the app. -False Take Button -Ability to tap on name from main screen to change it -Ability to change output and time code settings in app -Having History of scenes, takes and notes similar to what you can use when not using app -Ability to do the same functions in Finder when no connected to app -Ability to add a folder on card -Ability to run a report on a folder Since Zoom doesn’t have anywhere to submit feature requests, the recorder needs the ability to add the track names from the metadata to the track naming structure. The hardware this app was “designed” for has only increased in price since releasing. This app only works if you buy an additional accessory. If Zoom cared about their current products as much as the unreleased ones, their marketing, or website design then this app would be fantastic. Don’t waste your money on Zoom. This app works great. I have an iPhone 14 and 16 with the latest updates, and have never had trouble connecting. Once it’s connected, it is a much easier to use interface than the tiny one on the F6. Inside it from my iPad Pro, where the extra screen real estate is used well. One suggestion: I wish Zoom would update this and put a LOCK on the controls. Especially with the iPad, it’s difficult to pick up the iPad without touching the screen. I’m constantly terrified I’m accidentally going to hit the STOP button when picking up the iPad and end my recording. While I’m recording, I want to lock the controls so I can’t easily press buttons I don’t intend to, and just use the app to monitor levels. ### 5/5 — Works great *2024-04-16, version 1.2.00* Wish there was a way to monitor but honestly works great for field work. Saw others having issues connecting, just make sure you are selecting the proper option on your Zoom F6 Bluetooth menu when connecting. ### 5/5 — Two options to connect to the Bluetooth *2023-03-11, version 1.2.00* If your iOS is the latest, connect to the second one “F6 Control” under Bluetooth. If your iOS is older, choose the first one “F6 Control (iOS 9-12). Mismatch the connecting option with the iOS version may result a white screen and find nowhere to enter the password. I have been using it for the past few months without issue. I’m very glad that I decided to purchase the F6. For my work it’s a game changer. I have never had any Connectivity issues. The farthest I have been set up away from the device is about 40 feet. Never lost connection. Wish it would send the audio signal to listen through the app on the phone or iPad ### 5/5 — Changed my review after I figured out how to do what I want. *2020-06-29, version 1.2.00* I left my old review at the bottom so that it might help someone else if they have trouble getting their heads wrapped around the F6 and this app. To use the F6 as a USB audio interface AND use this app to control the mix do the following: - system->USB->AIF with Rec to the on position - system->Bluetooth->F6 Control->Connect In Wirecast (or whatever) bind channels 7&8 to left and right input and unbind 1&2. You can stream, record the production to disk and have the F6 save all the audio tracks to the SD at the same time. Sweeeet __——————- old review ——————- The App looks nice and does help label tracks. But I’m using my F6 connected to a Mac by USB as an audio source. So the app via Bluetooth can’t be connected at the same time the F6 is sending audio to the Mac via USB. You’d think that would be a sort of basic use case. After all, a F6 and this app would make for a really nice usb mixer. The F6 is really nice and I’ll never go back to mixing on a regular mixer.
