### 5/5 — Motivation

*2026-08-24, version 281*

This app has been so motivating for tackling my reading goals!

### 4/5 — Pretty please

*2026-08-23, version 281*

Love the app but can we please get a desktop version??

### 5/5 — Love the app

*2026-08-22, version 281*

I really love this app, it’s got me into reading. Last year I only read 1 book, this year I’ve already read 12. It’s really good for finding book recommendations and reviews for books, and creates a community for readers. I love tracking which days I read and what I’m reading, which I think is what started me reading regularly

### 4/5 — Love it!!

*2026-08-22, version 281*

I absolutely love this app so much. I have recommended it to all my reader friends and non reader friends. The only issue I have is that sometimes books aren’t on the app and I can’t mark it as being read or completed which is kind of annoying. They do have something you can submit in the app though for situations like to put more books in the app itself. Not sure how long it usually takes though.

### 1/5 — Love idea, but they don’t allow exports

*2026-08-21, version 281*

I liked fable for a while, but since they’ve started leaning into AI features so heavily, I was feeling less and less good about using the app. But guess what? Fable doesn’t even allow you to export your data like other apps, so either you have to transfer manually or lose your reading data. I don’t appreciate when apps lock you out of your own data, so I guess this is a reminder for me that I should check the way apps own my data. I would’ve kept the app and still used some features if they allowed export but guess not. Really disappointed at this scammy practices

### 1/5 — No desktop version which sucks

*2026-08-21, version 281*

I prefer to type my thoughts instead of texting them.

### 1/5 — nonsense

*2026-08-21, version 281*

have to pay to put how many pages you read. pointless.

### 3/5 — It’s fine, storygraph is better.

*2026-08-21, version 281*

Here is a list of my pros and cons:
Con- I accidentally added a book (to actually read on the app) on my shelf, and there is no way to back out of it and go to the home screen. I even tried exiting the app completely, but upon reopening the app it went right back to the book. I had to delete the app and re-download it for it to return to the home screen.
Con- you can get charts and graphs of how you’re reading is going…for a price. You can get that for free with storygraph.
Pro-it has a good rating system in terms of stars (.25, .5, .75,1 and so on, which I love.
Pro- “how did this book make you feel?” there are 20 feelings, one of which is “no selection“ that you can choose from.
Con- 20 sounds like a lot of feelings, but when you scroll through them and realize the book did not make you feel any of these you are left with “no selection”.
Pro-“how would you describe this book?” In this part you get to use the star rating again which is awesome. you get to rate the characters, plot, the setting, and add content warnings. There is even a list of words and phrases you can use to help describe the book.
Con-in the same “how would you describe this book?”Section, the list of words or phrases that you can use to describe the book , in my opinion are limited, and you cannot write in your own.
Pro- the last part of rating your book is the “got more to say?“ Section, this is where you will write your review.
All that being said about the rating system, in my opinion, the cons outweigh the pros.
With the cons, you may as well just skip all of that and just stick with your review to accurately describe the book and how it made you feel.
Pro- I don’t like goodreads however, the one thing good about goodreads is the community aspect. with fable It is better in that, not only can you like and comment on other people‘s posts you can also add memes and other pictures of your own to post.
Pro & con- when searching for a certain edition, like an audiobook, if you do not find it, you cannot add it yourself like you can with storygraph. You have to request an edition be added. It is a pro because if you know storygraph, then you know when users add the edition themselves, you often see editions that have wrong information or has incomplete information or there may be a duplicate edition. It is a con because instead of adding the information for the edition yourself, you have to request the edition be put in and have to wait an unknown amount of time for it to be added to fable. (I have not requested an edition be added, so I do not know how long their process takes).
There may or may not be more pros and cons. I did not play around with it too much but with what I have looked into I am still 1000% a STORYGRAPH fan and I highly recommend that you all make the switch to storygraph.

### 1/5 — Poor experience, deleted account and app

*2026-08-20, version 281*

The UX wasn’t good, the import from Goodreads was nowhere close to accurate and created duplicate lists. I was having to correct just about everything and finally gave up. Simply not worth the hassle.

### 5/5 — I love this app

*2026-08-20, version 281*

Amazing app for readers and people who love to watch tv!
