## What is Fabulaa?

Fabulaa is a free and easy to use mobile app designed for those facing communication struggles. Fabulaa is designed to benefit all ages, from children to adults. Persons of Determination (POD) who face communication disorders are usually those struggling with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), experiencing speech delays or facing a decline in their communication abilities because of old age. Fabulaa is here to give them a helping hand with the use of accessible and assistive technology.

The beauty of Fabulaa lies in its simple design, functionality and can be used on the go. Inspired by Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), the app relies on audio and visual cues to make conversations easier. Family, teachers and caregivers are encouraged to try the app to see how it can help you and your loved ones.

Fabulaa has four main built in features
Speech - Converts speech into text by allowing users to record messages and use their mobile device as a physical speech bubble.
Phrases - A ready to use and easily editable preloaded library of commonly used sentences that are given a voice with the click of a button.
Cards - Inspired by Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) cards, this feature contains images that describe a single or more words. When clubbed together, these cards form a sentence for playback.
Scribble - A freehand tool that allows you to draw objects or write sentences.

With its multiple features Fabulaa provides users, caregivers and parents a simple adaptive way to reach out to their loved ones who struggle to communicate. It is like putting words in your hand.

Note: Fabulaa is not an alternative to Speech Therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) or any other clinical or behavioral treatment.

Great app, except the cards/pecs don’t load. I live the speak and phrase features a lot. The voices are very robotic but that’s pretty standard for these apps. I reached out to support about how to add or load cards and haven’t yet heard back.

This is the best communication app for non my non verbal autistic son I have ever used and come across.  I have tried others and paid over $300 for one, and this works better and is free.  Thank you so mush for developing this useful app and making it free.
