### 1/5 — Multiple attempts to cancel subscription

*2026-08-25, version 23.0.1*

Multiple attempts to cancel subscription - required bank to close credtit card

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2026-08-25, version 22.1.1*

Wonderful app, great for the soul

### 3/5 — Ugly and overwhelming but works

*2026-08-25, version 23.0.1*

The app is very ugly to look at, honestly. Most of the stuff here looks AI generated, and a lot of the writing sounds AI generated. This is very disappointing. I know this app was around before generative AI, so I don’t understand why they had to replace so much of their work with AI generated stuff. Other than the AI, the layout of the app is simply ugly and unappealing, especially the little white mascot. The app is very overwhelming to look at too, constant pop ups and so much stuff everywhere. This is not a good feature for an app focusing on getting things together, and you should do better. Regardless, this does seem like a good plan that will seem to work, and if any other app had this, I would use it instead of this one.

### 1/5 — I hate the animations

*2026-08-25, version 23.0.1*

Great app. Been using paid version for three years now.

Giving 1 star for three huge issues:
1. the animations, you CANNOT turn them off, they are so long and numerous and annoying.
2. The constant push to use other apps.
3. The drain of the battery if you forget to kill the app once you’re done with your routines

### 1/5 — Preys on people looking for help

*2026-08-25, version 23.0.1*

Misleading subscription design – particularly concerning for an app targeting ADHD and burnout

I downloaded Fabulous after being specifically targeted with advertising suggesting it could help with ADHD and burnout. Unfortunately, my experience of the app has been the opposite.

The set-up process feels deliberately designed to blur the line between simply progressing through onboarding and committing to additional paid subscriptions. I was repeatedly presented with what appeared to be “next steps”, only to find they were actually one-click subscription commitments to additional services/apps. For something specifically marketed towards people who may already struggle with overwhelm, attention and executive function, I find this particularly troubling.

Once subscribed, figuring out exactly what I had signed up for and how to cancel was a complicated maze. The sheer number of prompts, offers and additional subscription opportunities made the whole experience feel less like onboarding and more like a carefully designed sales funnel.

Having gone through all of that, what I seem to have ended up with is essentially a very expensive reminder to drink water.

I appreciate that subscription apps need to make money, but users should understand clearly when they are making a purchase, what they are purchasing and how much it will cost. In my experience, that clarity was completely lacking.

I would like the subscriptions I inadvertently signed up for through this process cancelled and the charges refunded. I would strongly encourage Fabulous to reconsider an onboarding and payment design that feels particularly inappropriate given the audience it is actively targeting.

### 1/5 — Scam

*2026-08-25, version 23.0.1*

Absolute scam app that preys on those who are vulnerable. Upon sign up, you’re directed to also sign up to multiple related self-help tools all of which come with their own monthly subscription. It would costs hundreds a month to sign up to them all and it’s easy to unintentionally do so. Then, upon working this out, they make it impossible to sign into your account to cancel your subscriptions. You can’t unsubscribe via Apple as per usual.

### 1/5 — The billing practices of this app should be illegal—hundreds of dollars of duplicate bills

*2026-08-24, version 22.1.1*

The alarming thing about this app is that it promotes itself as ADHD support then discretely makes multiple frivolous debit card charges that someone with ADHD is less likely to notice happening. Then it creates a tedious hours-long process to correct the matter or unsubscribe from accounts if you want to stop being billed, knowing that many people with ADHD will be too exhausted to go through that.

wish I could attach a screenshot of my bank statement in which 15 out of the last 20 transactions are duplicate unauthorized charges made by this company long after I canceled my subscription. Even when I signed up they claimed the fee was a monthly charge, but they try to charge me twice a week.

Here’s what happened. I was signed up for this app for less than 5 minutes before the first duplicate credit card charges started rolling in. The first round was three identical $25 signup charges, which meant they billed me $75, three times what I authorized. I realized my mistake and canceled my account. But—days later, they charged me $75 again in three separate $25 transactions.

The company simply directs you to their opaque unsubscribe process, saying they won’t stop billing you unless you unsubscribe in the *exact same way* that you signed up. There are several signup methods and they aren’t able to say which one you used. There is no other support that they provide. Unfortunately, unsubscribing is not an option because, according to their systems, I already canceled my subscription. There seem to be multiple ghost accounts I have no access to, there is no way to identify what signup method they think I used so that I could unsubscribe by that process.

Ultimately, I had to close the bank account they were billing me at, which, again, takes valuable time. But I still get weekly fraud alerts from my bank notifying me this company is still trying to bill the debit card which no longer exists.

I believe this type of business practice is illegal in my state, and I have reported them, but it needs to be a federal crime.

### 2/5 — Annoying app with a lot of time-wasting frippery

*2026-08-24, version 22.1.1*

Forming useful habits seems like a great idea, and this app encouraged me to drink water in the morning. Okay, good start I suppose. But the app required a lot of clicking through excessive, patronizing praise for *drinking a glass of water*. I also had a hard time finding the goals through all the fluff on the app. Not sure who this app was designed for. Children perhaps? I cancelled after three days.

### 1/5 — Sales pushy

*2026-08-24, version 22.1.1*

While I can’t comment on its tracker or behaviour changing habits, I found the app too sales pushy. Every turn or pop up forces you to add more to your plan, it’s hard to get into the app when setting up as it’s a constant bombardment of add ons without letting us actually use the app and see how these plans can benefit us. I had to cancel my trial as it’s hard to use as well the sales pitch. It feels pushy and scam like from all the extremely hard upsell, it feels that that is the only priority rather a usable app. I’m glad I didn’t pay full price for the trail.

### 1/5 — Speechless

*2026-08-24, version 22.1.1*

TL,DR: I do not recommend you download this app. I do not recommend you provide this app with your credit card information. This app has many bugs. This app promises too many simultaneous features and will leave you confused as to what you did in the app. This app prompts you to purchase many additional apps all at once. This app hurt my brain and made me dumber for using it. This app made me financially poorer (even though it’s a free trial). It’s like the D0n@lď Tr¥^^p of apps. Do not—I repeat, do not—take the five star reviews seriously. They simply cannot be real. Have a fine day.

>>>Fabulous is without doubt the most convoluted & confusing app I think I’ve ever tried using.

Found about this online and took their questionnaire. I agreed to their free trial outside of the app (DO NOT DO THIS!!!) and used Apple’s HideMyEmail feature to protect my anonymity.

I immediately found myself on a webpage asking for a small fee to pay their people for the “free trial.” I am nice and apparently gullible because I stupidly agreed. Then they sent me to a page that asked me to ¿sign up for other apps? At additional fees? And separate trial periods? Like… I was SOOOO lost!

So, I downloaded the app and tried signing in… which was a nightmare. It asked me if I wanted to subscribe and stuff despite me providing my email address/username. This got me to thinking that maybe I agreed to one of Fabulous’s sister apps and maybe I didn’t even know what I was trying to do! Then I couldn’t sign into the original website without having to retake the questionnaire again! I finally found a login page which required email verification. I push the button in the email and get directed to the beginning of the questionnaire… AGAIN!

I honestly have no idea HOW I FINALLY got into the app, but I did. It prompted me to tap on a play icon overlaying a pretty picture of some dude ¿rafting? ¿I think? Which brought me to a list of things me and Fabulous’s little sprites would set out to accomplish. Cute. I pushed on a button… nothing. Couldn’t go back. Couldn’t go forward. I closed the app and HAD TO GO THROUGH THE ENTIRE SIGN IN AGAIN. Did it… bc I’m patient and kind. Landed again on the rafting guy then the list then the nothingness. Redownloaded the app. Same thing. Downloaded one of their sister apps. Couldn’t make heads or tails of it. Finally, in this app, it brought me to a water counting page… because, in order to learn good habits, you must start by counting cups of water… you know…like every other self-help app?

In the midst of this, my credit card company who could care less about a $1000 out of the blue charge to a kayak company in the middle of the Serengeti called repeatedly until I finally answered asking if I legit made this $10 purchase. That, too, was an absolute nightmare.

I canceled my subscription (I think? Lots of people here say they did too but got hoodwinked and charged later anyway).

I do not recommend this app. I REALLY do not recommend providing your credit card information to this thing. This app did not help my ADHD and made me feel a certain kind of crazy that I was not aware that I am so capable of.
