### 1/5 — Best Face Swapper Out Their Until it became about money!

This is the best Face Swapper app out their.  It really appealed to me because it was FREE! But now you have to pay a subscription to even use it.  This was just a hobby of mine that I enjoyed so you lost me as a costumer because I am not going to pay money to this app no matter how great it is.

I get you guys have to pay the bills to keep the app running but just in you charging for the app your ratings and reviews dropped significantly and I can only image how many other people you have lost since you started charging.

Было хорошее до тех пор пока не сделали ПОЛНОСТЬЮ (просто бывают проги когда бывают платные, но при просмотре рекламы можно пользоваться, остается водяной знак программы или уменьшают размер фото и т.д.) платной и при этом цена вообще заоблачная, даже у профессиональных программ нет таких цен🤣🤣🤣🤣 программу не рекомендую, данных эффектов можно получить и в других приложениях

**Developer response:** Понимаем, что бесплатное лучше платного. Мы в течение почти двух лет старались поддерживать приложение, которое используется и для профессиональных нужд, полностью бесплатным. GPU и AWS стоят немало, а приложение стало популярным, поэтому нам пришлось сделать Face Swapper платным, чтобы он продолжал работать.

20$ to use the app?! F You! You should have stayed free instead now your going lose people because there are BETTER THINGS to use 20$ for! Go back to being free.

**Developer response:** We also believe that such apps should be free. We did provide it at no cost for the past two years, but after our last bill, we couldn't continue to cover the expenses. The GPU is super expensive, and it's really sad to lose users who have been with us while we were footing the bill. We understand if you give us a one-star review and move on, but if you stay, it will help us share the costs and maintain the app.

**Developer response:** Мы понимаем, что когда за бесплатное приложение начинают брать деньги, это не очень приятно. Честно говоря, мы делали все возможное, чтобы Face Swapper был бесплатным как можно дольше, и предыдущие два года брали все расходы на себя. Не хотим слишком вдаваться в подробности, но GPU  и сервисы, необходимые для работы приложения, стоят супер дорого, поэтому нам пришлось разделить эти расходы с пользователями.

Loved the app, but wouldn’t use it enough for a whole subscription. So sad to see the good ones turn to this method. 👎

**Developer response:** Absolutely, subscription services can be a bit of a pain, and we get that it's no fun when something that used to be free suddenly isn't. We tried to keep Face Swapper free for as long as we could, but the GPU costs a lot, and our finances just weren't keeping up. So, we had to start sharing the costs with our users this way.

App was free and then suddenly they want to charge $20 a month. Don’t mind paying a subscription but $20 is WAY too much.

**Developer response:** I get how disappointing it can be when a free app starts charging. We did our best to keep it free as long as possible. We footed the bill for the GPU for two years, and that stuff isn't cheap! But in the end, we had to split the costs with our users.
It's disheartening to see that the clients we paid for now give us just one star.

No the app STILL ISNT WORKING! when I choose a face a real face to swap with it still says “failed to swap face try again later” so no you still didn’t correct the problem

Не работает. Меняет лица исключительно если они на одном фото. С Селфи на другое фото не поменять, всегда ошибка. Пробовал 25 фото, лицо меняет только между теми что на фото. Добавлять другие не представляется возможным.

Было раньше бесплатное приложение , а теперь за месяц просят 1800

**Developer response:** Понимаем, что может показаться дорого. Face Swapper это сервис с ресурсоёмкой технологией реалистичной замены лиц, поэтому он работает по подписке и дешевле его сделать было бы убыточно.
Если для вас важно сначала понять, стоит ли сервис своих денег, можно воспользоваться бесплатным пробным периодом и посмотреть, подходит ли вам результат. Мы на связи, если будут вопросы.

Не стыда не совести, 10 тыс в год за приложение, в котором даже не посмотреть какие функции существуют? Слов нет.

It's not even good enough for them to want to charge $100. Marquez, the face she wants to replace and there are two in the same image, the face you decide to replace, she's not going to do it because it's going to be the one she wants. That's a mediocre, average app for wanting to charge $100. Let me explain something to you. If these types of apps think they're going to make a lot of money charging $100 a year when their product isn't even that good, excuse me, but they're going to go bankrupt.

Improve it because the users are the ones who are helping them improve it anyway and now they want to charge you $100. The corporate world wants to become millionaires in a month and then go bankrupt.

Impressive output, better than most alternatives I’ve tried.  Limited features, which isn’t a bad thing.

Used to be free and recently became subscription-based. 

I use an older iOS and haven’t downloaded the new app update yet, which could explain issues I ran into and limit some features.

Essentially, the app doesn’t clear cache manually (clears “recent” but not reflected on my iPad Storage) nor retain source faces during a session.  When there are many faces, whichever my selection, the swap will apply to a same random face regardless of the one I pick.

I had concerns re privacy but they sent me comforting info, which I think they’d benefit from disclosing further (encryption; etc.).

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your detailed review! When it comes to swapping multiple faces in a single image, you can do it by selecting each face one by one. Simply upload your image, and the system will guide you through swapping each detected face individually.
 
Regarding the further points you mentioned:
 
1) We securely store your images for 30 days, after which they are automatically deleted. If you prefer, you can also manually delete your images by reviewing them one by one.
 
2) Rest assured, we use the latest technologies to securely store uploaded images, so you don’t have to worry about your data being compromised. Here are the main security features that we implement: protection of the cluster itself, authorization (protection of the personal account), protection of buckets (for example, it is impossible to brute-force images, each link is signed with a key), traffic between the server and the client is encrypted, data is stored only for a certain period; anything older than 30 days is deleted, company policy regarding data handling, including employees (organization and issuance of internal access, etc.).
 
3) We’ve kept our app free for almost two years, but as our community grew, the costs of maintaining and improving the app, particularly related to GPUs, became significant. To keep Face Swapper going strong, we had to introduce charges. We still have the unlimited 3-day trial and unlimited Monthly or Yearly plans, which cost $19 and $8.25 per month, respectively. It is totally random on photos with multiple faces and usually converts the wrong face. Otherwise the app is great.

**Developer response:** If you upload an image with multiple faces, you can select and swap them separately. Simply click on the face you want to edit and choose a replacement image.
