Thanks!!!! ### 4/5 — A Rare Top Notch Overhaul *2015-04-10, version 4.0.0* I'm usually not one to be a big fan of drastic overhauls, but this one is the exception to the rule. You see, Facely was starting to look old, outdated, and neglected. For years it lingered in limbo running on a crusty old style sheet. So when they announced that they were upgrading the look and feel, I wasn't expecting much. However, this upgrade has far exceeded my expectation. It is an upgrade in every sense of the word! The layout is fresh and new and the addition of other social networks is a big plus. There is one thing that I'm not quite fond of though. That is when you click on a link inside one of the tabs, another side window opens which seems to serve no purpose. As frustrating as this is, I decided to leave my rating of four because I want to show support for the overhaul which I think is excellent. Rarely have I ever shown such mercy. That must mean I REALLY like these changes! But please... fix that annoying tab before I change my mind. ### 3/5 — Needs improvement! *2014-05-26, version 3.5* Love the design and ability to customize the look, but I am not receiving or able to see posts from my closest friend, or my family. Yes, i can open their page, but their most recent posts are not there, and only a limited number of prior posts. I am however, seeing every page that I have ever liked pop up in my news feed (which FB app has limited). So there is good and bad, but honestly... I want to see my closest friends and family most. Would be nice to have a filter that would allow all likes and posts from friends to show up in one feed. Or is it that I am just missing something? ### 4/5 — A lot better than native app *2012-11-24, version 3.2* This app is a lot better than Facebook's native app, but the pictures all show up as thumbnails. You have to tap on them to see the larger version, and from there you can share it, etc... The developer really needs to make the pictures larger when viewing your newsfeed. Sometimes I see a picture and have no interest in making larger. The way this app works, to see what the picture actually is you have to tap on it. Ugh. An extra step that's just not necessary. I'd give it five stars except for that annoyance. Hopefully because I got the paid version, the developer will fix this immediately. ### 3/5 — Cool App! *2012-05-27, version 3.2* The customizations that are possible makes this app pretty awesome. Could fix a few thing like when you you click on notifications and accidentally click on it once or twice you then have opened notifications mult times and have exit each one. Besides that this app works much better than the original Facebook app on my 4S. I have seen it falter and function. It hands down destroys the Facebook app by simply letting you share a link within the app. Why this is not provided in The Facebook app is beyond me. You find yourself jumping through hoops of real fire to do this. That fact alone makes it worthwhile. It has had times of better interface and display but crashes less and is dependable. I have tried to get others to use this app to no avail. They are happy with the lateral thinking process of social simplicity in the corporate app. I do hope work to improve and a faster loading time is considered. ### 4/5 — Facely for iPhone *2012-01-17, version 3.1* Just wish I were able to make more changes on my iPhone such as, stopping the notifications sent to my email account. It is becoming cluttered and can't filter to see only the important emails in my inbox through Comcast. I spend too much time deleting the Facebook notices. I can see them through the face book App after signing on. It's nice to see the comments and reminders of birthdays, but I can see them elsewhere such as my calendar. Thank for the opportunity to voice my opinion. FB user ### 4/5 — Good with some glitches *2011-08-24, version 2.2* This is a great app for the iPad because it displays in HD. The layout is relatively straight forward and you can access most normal features on Facebook. One thing I noticed is the inability to get to pages you like quickly and easily. Also, you can't get to notes or discussions on these place pages. Most people don't really care about this problem but another thing I noticed is that it can take the app a minute or so to fully load, so its in a weird format when you first open it up. It also frequently gets confused about whether or not you have viewed your inbox messages. You can't rotate pictures either. Overall though, for basic everyday use, I like the app, being able to personalize it is a nice touch and its the only app I use for Facebook. ### 3/5 — Eh... So-so *2011-08-20, version 2.2* Just seems to me that this app could be done a lot better. It says it's customizable & I've never been able to customize any part (The colors, etc.) I can't hardly do much significant chat time without it freezing up. I like most parts of the app, but the chat thing seriously needs to get fixed. The app will freeze & crash on me frequently but less frequent than the other apps I have tried for Facebook. That being said, the freezes & crashes are still annoying whether it's less or not. At least on the others I can chat decently. The app's layouts & everything are definitely fine, but fix the crashing & freezing & make it to where I can converse over chat with more than 2 people. Keep up the good work - get rid of the bad work. ### 3/5 — Better than it was! But still needs work *2011-08-08, version 2.1* 8/8/11 (update) the back (or home button) doesnt work that well. When you view media within a group it doesn't take you back to the "Group" homepage... But to the Facebook homepage. I could just have fat fingers too but if that's the case I recommend you changing the button to two separate buttons (update) still no easy access to groups but the app is more stable now after the new update... (old) The app is cool for basic FB functions, but what would really make this app better would be bookmarks/favorites and groups. It's hard to currently see/ find groups when there not in the news feed. The bookmarking would be a nice bonus (not really a bonus because the app by Facebook has it already) but it would be nice not to have to do a search to find the ppl I talk to most... ### 4/5 — A great app that could be improved. *2011-07-18, version 2.0* This app has really great features that the original free Facebook app doesn't have. I love having the ability to change color schemes, ability to comment or like other people's comments and it shows a lot more information than the free app by Facebook. It's even more stable than the original free FB app. There are some stability issues. It crashes sometimes and constantly shows error messages. It continues to show that I have 3 new friend requests even though I have viewed all friend requests numerous times to try to clear the notification. It still has the badge showing that I have "3". Even when I close the app, it's very annoying that the badge still shows 3 notifications on the icon. Please fix this. Please continue to improve the functionality of this app. As I said earlier, it has a lot of great features that the other apps are lacking but I can't rate it any higher than 4-stars due to the instability, error messages and those 3 friend notifications that won't clear. ### 3/5 — Better but not yet perfect *2011-07-09, version 2.0* I will say that after a quick run through it is better than the standard facebook app. A few things that dont give it 5 stars from my experience so far is that it does crash from time to time and needs some bug fixes soon, but it also doesn't give you the full experience as if you were on the actual web site, i.e., being able to send attachments and pictures through email. That is a big one. Not everyone is satisfied with only having the option of posting everything on someone else's wall for all to see. I'll play with the app more and see what else I can find. Other than that keep up the good work. ### 3/5 — Loved it, but… now I just like it. *2011-07-02, version 2.0* 2nd UPDATE… OK. FYI. Themes still dont work on my phone, but you can still customize by using Background and Font slid adjustments. It looks good. Still wish you guys would fix the Themes tool. Ph well. 3 stars. UPDATE… When I first got this, it was great. But I haven't been able to change themes for months. Giving it a 2.5 now. My old post is below: I give it 4 stars because it does everything the Facebook app should do, but doesn't. Posting pics is quick and easy. It's organized. It looks good. You can select a theme. Last update, however, rendered themes inoperable. I can't change them. Please fix and get 5 stars. ### 3/5 — Lots of potential (v 2.0) *2011-06-06, version 2.0* This app does a lot of things the regular FB app doesn't do. But, it must be VERY hard to make a good mobile FB app. They're all terrible. This app has odd issues with a long list of things. Resizing at odd times that requires you to pinch it back into place. The Comment button and Done button overlap and behave like 2 Done buttons. Sometimes comments and likes just disappear completely. Sometimes they show up magically much later. Sometimes not. The nav bar on photos refuses to hide. The app crashes, and of course it's always after you spent 5 minutes typing something - Gone. And if I have stare at "Personalizing Experience" for another minute I'm going to gag. It's loading. Fine. "Loading" it is then. When a cashier is counting my change s/he is not "personalizing my transaction experience." Neither is this app. If you're going to "personalize my experience" you better work at a resort and carry towels and massage oil. ### 3/5 — Tired of the bugs *2011-06-02, version 2.0* Even tho I like this app WAY better than the original it still has bugs popping up constantly. I was super excited about the update but it still won't let me change my profile pic without uploading a new pic. I have also problems sending messages. i used to be able to edit my profile and account without having to get on my laptop or PC but THAT as well isn't working. And I REALLY don't like that it won't show everyone's status updates etc. It just pics a few of my friends which really irritates the f*%#* out of me. Well I hope there will be another update SOON! Would be too bad if these bugs couldn't get fixed, cause overall it's a pretty good app! ### 2/5 — Pretty unhappy |:( *2011-06-02, version 2.0* Seems to me this app is taking a progressive turn for the worst, each update or change and you lose your ability to manipulate your facebook like you could before. For example.. I can no longer delete comments and posts I don't want on my profile. Now I have to go on the actual website to edit it...rendering this app useless to me. On the note of using the regular web site, when I chose the option to edit my profile in the menu, I used to open up the full site so I could move around from there. Now, the only way to edit it is the stupid 'click here' link in the app itself. I need a way to access the full site from this app with one button, especially in light of the inability to edit your wall and delete comment posts. At this point, I don't even use the app anymore... It is beyond frustrating! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Enough is enough *2011-11-21, version 2.3* I have patiently waited for Facely HD to get their act together. Realizing that Facebook also had some issues to fix, I again continued to wait for Fascely. We have listened to the empty promises for an update. Enough is enough. I agree with others...constantly have 5 messages in my inbox that can't be removed; cannot post to anything since the "Post" button disappears after you try to comment; can't even update the screen by "dragging down" or using the "Home" button. I have to completely exit Facely each time to reload or go to the Facebook app to post anything. Facely support is less than non-existent. Facely eith needs to fix this app or the App Store should remove it completely...after they refund our money. ### 1/5 — Worked for 30 seconds and support is nebulous. *2011-07-07, version 2.0* Ok, so I now have 5 facebook apps on my iPad2. Four of them log on to facebook and do mostly OK. This one let me log on once for about 30 seconds and has since given me the perpetual "no internet" symbol. Rather than trash them here, I elected to try to get support. What a waste THAT was. The link provided on the iTunes page goes right to their Facebook page where your only option is to subscribe to UserVoice and that's clunky and requires too much work on the part of the customer. So now I have to trash them here. For the record, I use Friendly, MyPad+, Venus and iFace. Of them all, Friendly is the best...when it's working. Venus ALWAYS works, but has an unconventional interface that some love, some find just OK. Personally, I'm in the just OK column. But I do use it because it always works. In the 30 seconds that Facely worked, it looked promising. ### 1/5 — Sorry to uninstall, but... *2011-05-27, version 1.7* This app was very promising. The customization options and general user interface were good enough for me to purchase the "premium" version just to get rid of the ads. Unfortunately, the crippling errors that have lagged it for the past month and more have finally rendered Facely unusable in my eyes. I can appreciate the difficulty of keeping up with Facebook's server-side changes, and I'm predisposed to tinker around and troubleshoot a malfunction, be it hardware or software. Through all of my efforts, and those of the developers, the application is just fundamentally unstable. I'm not agitating for a refund of my $0.99, and I bear those who created this app absolutely no ill will; I simply must have a reliable, functional conduit to access Facebook. Sadly, that conduit can no longer be Facely. ### 1/5 — Getting worse and STILL no updates! *2011-05-19, version 1.7* I purchased this app because the regular FB app currently has a bunch of issues. I'm not sure there are any less here. Issues so far: -The live feed doesn't post updates from all of my friends or pages. The other app does, so I have to go back and forth to check everything. -If I want to see comments on some posts I actually have to go to my profile because clicking on "comments" doesn't work. -Shouldn't the app automatically update when it's opened? I have to pull down to update every time. -When scrolling through a page of pictures it will go blank halfway through and then give me a message that says there are no photos. -During a chat session, the comments show up out of sequence... Makes it hard to carry on a conversation that makes any sense. This a very nice looking app with a ton of potential but something has gone off. Fix these issues and this will be better than the official FB app, but for now it's no better... Maybe worse. 05/15- What the hell? Why did you change this app? It was finally working fine and then you change the whole thing. One of the worst things is putting the friend request notification at the top... Leave it on the tab. ### 1/5 — broken news feed *2011-02-18, version 1.3.4* I was so stoked about this app! It has the potential to be great. The main problem is that it only displays a small amount of my status updates In my feed! Were talking 1 out 5 (if that) get actually displayed in my news feed.  Is there not a way to fix this? The regular fb app misses one or two from time to time, but facely misses a huge chunk of my feed all the time! it won't even display the status updates I make, from within the app! This is just silly! It literally makes the clean interface 100% useless. This is upsetting! The UI is over all a little clunky, and the lack of a easy refresh is annoying, but the appearance Is elegant and makes up for the weird quirks of this ap. Now it's mixed up !!! ### 2/5 — Was great... *2012-04-30, version 3.2* Great app. It honestly has everything a facebook app should have. But it has been crashing randomly and frequently. It gets stuck on a blank page and the only solution is to delete the app and reinstall. This would get a five star rating, but until it is updated and this problem is fixed, it will get only two. Quite frankly, reinstalling the app 2-5 time a day gets a little old. It is worth the money, though. Edit: It is no longer worth the money. It may, in fact, be the buggiest program i have ever used. I reinstalled it to see if tye bugs would go away temporarily, and it disappeared like two seconds after installing. Still intalled, but i can't find it. Wth. My internet connection is really good and the iPad is new and working perfectly. Two weeks a go started to crash, change my words, post my own picture on my friend's wall during the night , actually i was sleeping when that happened. Finally, the most ...after write posts or messages when i tap to post it all my writing is delete from the page and it goes back to the page i was reading before.I can't try anymore, is ridiculous ...What happen? Why is down-dating when suppose to update? How can you guys let things like that happen? I did everything I could to make this thing work including delete and reinstall it.I Tried to change my profile picture many times and still trying without success. ...I'm out! The only reason it's not 5 stars is because I would love to see it get a makeover. The interface is outdated looking and stale. A new interface along the beauty of TapBots would be amazing. ** update after the initial 4 stars. After writing my initial review I learned the crappiness of this product. I am a user with a personal profile and a professional page. Despite have the setting of "always post as my page even when signed in as my profile" turned on - the program posts as my profile. This is unacceptable, especially since the official Facebook application does this function flawlessly. I will be removing this and will maybe try again in a few months. ** ### 2/5 — Bad on both fronts... *2011-06-02, version 2.0* Why would a developer release an app not yet ready for prime time? To be fair, there is no Facebook app in existence for iPad or iPhone that gets the job done. The font in the compose window is huge and overlaps each line. The header is way too big and takes up too much screen real estate, and noth iPhone and iPad platforms, I can not get a comment on an existing item to post. On the iPhone verson, you are hard-pressed to find the "add comment/like" navigation at all as it kind of slides off the page. I was excited to see update, but although some of the prior difficulties have been corrected, a multitude seem to have been manufactured to take their place. I had high hopes. Never have used the in house client by FB. I'm rewriting this review because I missed some commands during first session. Facely HD has a very nice UI. File uploads go very fast. Navigation across the interface is quite smooth. Make sure you tap the FACELY title button for functions you think are missing. It's all there so don't be afraid to poke around! 5 stars because lots of work/upgrades have gone into this build. It says I have version 3.2? Supposed to be version 3.3. Fix that please or I will demote :) ### 5/5 — Editing My Profile *2012-06-08, version 3.2* this is a very good app to use because its almost like the desktop site except for being a mobile app. the main issue i'm having right now is when i hit edit profile and when it takes me to the mobile site to edit it, i try to click on what i want to edit but it doesn't let me edit it. another issue i'm having is sometimes the app will crash within minutes of using it. i believe you all should make another version of it because this is covered with bugs, it also needs some minor adjustments to the edit profile section. when you all do it, i'll come back and give a very decent review about your app. until then, i'm giving it 3 stars. ### 5/5 — Oh my Facely... *2011-09-03, version 2.2* Well, it would seem the errors are a result of changes in Facebook's coding. Facely just had issues rolling out an update to compensate in a timely manner due to personal issues (a birth) in the life of the key developer for the app. I noticed the free version is already fixed. I'm anxiously awaiting the fix for this version. I love Facely. It's normally a solid app. Still, I get that stuff happens. It's a good app, a bit overwhelming in the beginning, & most definitely wait for an update before buying. .................... Srsly, Facely is great. They are trying to keep up on updates, but FaceBook keeps trying to "improve" on their service by making it harder for us to protect our privacy. I hate FB updates. Facely good, FB not. ### 5/5 — F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C *2011-06-02, version 2.0* Rather than bash, I waited fir the update. I was caught. The app worked, then stopped. But I went to the home page and saw where the developers said a Facebook update they didn't know was coming caused this app to break. Working for a software company I understand that soft wear will always have a bug. But those bugs get fixed. U just have to be patient. So for those that don't just download apps without reading he 'most recent' reviews..especially before they download to their precious iPads, this app is one to get!!!! Works fantastic and makes the Facebook experience on the iPad great. A mist download. Also, a big thanks to the developers who worked to correct the problem!!! I am amazed at how smooth this app runs. Much better than the original. Pics load way faster, and no crashing. I have not uploaded any pics yet.
