Gives access to messenger that Fackbook locks you out of & wants you to download app.👎😬 ### 4/5 — Pretty gr8 *2013-06-02, version 3.3* I love the simplicity and smoothness of this app. It's very easy to use, and moves very fast as well, which makes the whole experience fun. The themes are also super fun! So far I really enjoy this app, HOWEVER, I would enjoy it even more if I could switch to and from different accounts. I can't even find out how to log out of the one I'm currently in, and I've been wondering if I need to delete the app and reinstall it with a different account...I really don't want to do that, though. It needs to show me that it can can do a little more for the money I payed for before I give it 5 stars. I owned it 2 days before it found itself in iCloud land. I put it in iCloud land because there is absolutely no instructions and for a person who is not computer or FB savvy it is a tad bit confusing how to navigate it . If you are looking for something to make your FB experience easier as far as organization like I was look somewhere else. Because as far as I can figure out , this app is just for chatting and nothing more. You have next to nothing for newsfeed . Very small . When you try to write to chat it's too big! Fix that please. But you get pluses for the pretty options , that's nice. ### 3/5 — My HD faley always in trouble *2012-12-29, version 3.2* He always hangs straight, I can not send a private message to a contact when he is off, I type my search for the contact, not shown on the display when it is in off, only shows online contact and when I'm typing a phrase does not appear in my viewfinder, I can not tell if I tyyped the correct words and when receiving messages in chat does not appear to know what do I simply sent me goes out the text received. These problems have since bougth from you when this application. I hope you solve this gor me. Thank you and I'm awaiting. ### 3/5 — Nice app *2012-11-23, version 3.2* except I got prompted to write a review/rate two minutes after I downloaded this so I'll come back and adjust the rating once I've had time to use it!!! Update 11/23 (same day): I'll up it to 3 stars. So far, I can't log out unless I delete/reinstall - not fun for users with multiple FB accounts. "Back" option is buggy and won't activate unless you open your profile (swipe to the right) and close it back. The color and font control is a nice plus and seems to have the potential to be an outstanding app in the marketplace - just not before these minor but annoying bugs are fixed. ### 4/5 — Facely *2012-11-12, version 3.2* I love this app, but there are a few things you could do to make it better. First, the back button keeps disappearing after going out of messenger back into whatever you were doing previously. Then there's the notifications. I can't view the post someone has commented on or liked directly from the notification screen. I have to go to my profile and look that way. And finally, you can't send pictures or files through messenger, which I do quite often. Other than that, I absolutely love this app and love being able to customize it to my taste. ### 3/5 — Ms *2012-09-11, version 3.2* I just downloaded this app a couple of days ago. Responded to a message, even though it looked as though I had posted my message, when I went back to view,message was not to be found. Posted message several times and each time I went to see if message was still there. There was no message to be found. Let's hope this review does not disappear too!!!!!! Have problems with groups, crashes each time I try to view Groups. Does not keep my comments I try to post. Other than those 2 issues I love this app. I hope you fix ### 3/5 — How do I get around? *2012-08-25, version 3.2* Some things about this app I really like, like the minimalistic view, and having a full screen window to type comments. But the navigation is horrible. A lot of times I end on screens that seem to have no options to go anywhere else. I should be able to get back to my News Feed or Wall from anywhere but a lot of times, there's nothing but the buttons for Settings and Notifications. Also, some of the notifications, like when someone Likes your comment, don't jump you to the comment it was for, which I often need to do to see what it refers to. I can do this on the FB app, but on Facely it doesn't provide the link to the comment. ### 4/5 — DID get it to work *2012-08-19, version 3.2* Well I specifically downloaded this app to be able to upload pics from my iPad to my Facebook. I am by no means a noob when it comes to technology and can figure out about ANYTHING on computers and gadgets...eventually. It took me a bit to figure out how to add/upload pics. Duh. Looks like the only way is from the status update bar by pressing the little camera icon. I attempted it. Looked promising, I could add the title AND choose album. I sent it and it never showed up. Later, I used the chrome browser on the iPad to check it and the regular FB app to check and nothing. It DID say I had added 44 new pictures to an existing album but it did not show the new one. I'm just going to give it an hour, maybe it's still uploading? I'll gladly change my rating at a later time (if I can - I COULD) if this app begins to do the only thing I installed it for. Good luck!!! UPDATE: Just tried again. Uploaded 2 pics, separately, don't see that there's a way to do more than one at a time, But have not looked for it. Did not TOUCH anything until got an upload confirmation and worked like a charm. Now...either I'm a dummy or theres not a way to tag with this app. Feel free to enlighten me if I'm wrong. Changed from 2 stars to 4 because of that. ### 5/5 — Love the format; very user friendly ! *2012-06-18, version 3.2* Like Facely much better than the generic FaceBook app. In my opinion at least, it seems much more intuitive to use and offers many more options for screen formatting and settings . In general, makes the entire FB experience much more fun and less frustrating so one can spend more time interacting with friends vs. trying to figure out the logistics of using the app and it's particular nuances. BRAVO....WELL DONE!!!!!! Hope other developers will follow in your footsteps! ### 4/5 — Love this app! *2012-05-28, version 3.2* I love this app because I can see all of my friends updates & it also notifies me when it is one of my friends birthdays which is very helpful. At first I had trouble trying to figure out how log off this app but once I figured it out it was easy! I would highly recommend this app to anyone who uses Facebook regularly. I have tried several other Facebook apps that would work for me at the beginning then I would issues logging getting my friends updates, seeing my friends pictures etc. But with this app I so far haven't had any issues with it. ### 4/5 — Nice app, but... *2012-04-03, version 3.2* I really do like the app, and the pull to refresh function on photo comments (something missing in the stock FB app for whatever reason) but the notification window isn't 100% functional. Some notifications don't have the word "link" or "photo" in them, like it someone likes my comment, and I want to see if there were follow up posts, I can't just click on the notification to go to that topic. App uninstalled. Don’t waste your time. ### 1/5 — Boo *2012-10-29, version 3.2* Today I unfriended someone. 8 times and they still were on the list. I tried to log out and couldn't it kept staying logged in. I've complained before about things but you can't get any support in this app. So here I go: 1. remove the people who I block and FB and stop showing the updates for people whose updates I have blocked. 2. Add the option to see the pictures that are posted, if it says they posted 5 why can I only see 1? 3. Add the option to go to the desktop version if you aren't going to allow deleting posts. 4. Fix the "info" page, shows nothing but -1 as the age for everyone in my list would like to see the birthday. I put up with it because I HATE the sponsored adds, friend suggestions and suggested pages on FB mobile or the app. ### 1/5 — Update needed and soon. *2011-07-18, version 2.0* I used to love this app and how it didn't crash as much as the Facebook app did but now I almost prefer the facebook app. This app has been freezing on me, forcing me to close it/refresh it. I hate that when you look at someone's pics you there isn't a "back button." Only a button that takes you back home. Also when I'm looking through pictures, the screen will go black and I have to swipe different ways across the screen in order to pull the picture back up. Overall, it's a huge downgrade. Honestly, I preferred facely on my iPhone 4 before the last update. Please do something to fix this and fast or I will go back to using the old Facebook app. Thanks ### 2/5 — Too many flaws to be useful. *2018-07-09, version 4.0.3* I downloaded the app because my FB app was crashing continuously. I was happy to see that this app seemed more stable and more user friendly. However, every time I open the app, it stops my music, or podcast or whatever else I happen to be listening to and won’t let me play it while the app is open. So I can either use the FB app and deal with constant crashes or use this one and surf in silence. ### 2/5 — The more I use it, the less I like it *2013-07-11, version 3.3* While the customization is nice, that's rather short lived and hardly important. The crashes seem to be growing more frequent instead if less, to view photos friends have posted/shared is almost impossible as it often gives up before the image ever loads (and with such horridly TINY images on the news feed you need them to load just to know what it is). What's done it in for be though, to which I'll be signing out of and deleting this app to find another -to upload images of your own is nearly impossible. There is no add button at all from within your albums, leaving the only way to share images as a status -but it crashes before the upload even starts most of the time. I tried to give it some time to grow as I had high hopes and liked the feel, but at this point I'm just disappointed and too frustrated to fight w/ it any more. ### 2/5 — Doesn't load enough posts, can't see pix in albums *2012-10-20, version 3.2* There are some features I really like and some that I don't. My main issues with it is are 1, that it only loads a handful of posts and there doesn't seem to be any way to change that. And 2, when I go to a friend's photo album and try to open it it says unable to load pix. Every time! Those 2 issues alone are enough to keep me from using this app. It has a VERY simple layout, which is better than it being too busy, but I like MyPad's layout and some of their features better. None of these Facebook apps are perfect, or even close. I find myself switching between this, MyPad and the FB site to do different things. I wish I could take the best aspects of all 3 and smush them together to make one great app! ### 2/5 — So far so good *2012-09-09, version 3.2* Problems getting back to your wall once you are in the notifications tab, or friends tab. Need to put a home button or back button on all of the pages, otherwise you have to hit the big Facebook word on top, go into edit profile or edit acct. and then you are taken to your wall. But it isn't the facely interface anymore. Its the Facebook wall. And it's a pain trying to get back to the facely interface. Also keeps showing that I have 1 message. I've had this app for at least a month and have no messages, but their is still the number one indicating a message. Slightly annoying. Please fix these issues. That being said, it is still a hundred times better than my pad for iPad. And it does occasionally crash, closing the app. I would also like to see a choice to "block app" so i dont have to scroll through a hundred notifications for games my friends are playing before i get to the signifigant posts that im interested in. Fix these issues and I'll give it 5 stars. Be honest, will these issues be resolved if I do the upgrade? Have only had this app for ten minutes and I already like it 1000 times more than mypad for iPad. Just have to figure out how to upload new photos, create albums etc. will have to read the description better, those options may be in the paid version. ### 2/5 — Not iPad optimized and crashes frequently *2011-06-02, version 2.0* Firstly, THANK YOU for providing a free version for test driving. I just got an iPad and I've been happy with Friendly but disappointed with it's load times so I'm checking around for another solution. However, Facely has some "neat" features, but I've deleted it now for a couple of reasons. 1. App crashes frequently, and yes I've done the reboot/delete/reinstall/reboot dance but problems continue on both iPad and iPhone4. 2. Although it looks great on my iPhone, why oh why does the header take up SOO much space on the iPad? This is one area where Facely could definintely learn from Friendly. Although Friendly has all the buttons Facely has (plus some additional useless buttons in their taskbar), it takes up less than 1/3 of the screen space of Facely! Nice app for iPhone (if it didn't crash all the time) but definitely not optimized for iPad. It's as if they simply scaled the app to iPad resolution, but if I wanted huge graphics I'd just run the official Facebook app in 2X mode... I'm still hunting for a good iPad facebook app so I'll keep an eye on Facely, but for now it's a no-go. ### 3/5 — Pretty neat app *2013-02-05, version 3.2* There are things that I love about this app. Such as being able to change the color and the fact that I can watch videos on it unlike safari and Google chrome app on the Ipad...but there are still some issues...it wont let me type in my messages and send them when it's a instant message or in my inbox. Why is that?....fix the minor bugs and it would be great!!!...I have yet to find an app that allows me to play my games like FarmVille and FarmVille 2....those games say that you need flash player...why cant none of these apps help us play our favorite games on our Ipad?...you will have me hook line and sinker if you do that.... ### 3/5 — Nice, but...... *2013-01-01, version 3.2* I love the app, the layout, seems fast, lots of controls for everyday use.......even though I just installed today, I've been both impressed and discouraged all together. I don't like how I cannot link to post from notifications, filter liked/favorite pages to follow/check, and that I can't see if I've liked a page already without having to click and check........did also notice that when I went to mobile Fb, I had notifications that Weren't showing up even after refreshing that mobile Fb did show........... For now that's where I'm at. Fix these things and I think this app would a great choice over some other, over bells whistles apps. I like simple, customizable, fast, and fully functional apps. It's very responsive and fast. Loads pictures quickly but it keeps giving an error when trying to open photo albums so that needs to be fixed. It's has a lot more features than FB's app. The themes is also a plus. All in all it has a flaw or two but its by far the best app for viewing Facebook. ### 5/5 — 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 *2013-04-04, version 3.2* This app blows the other FB apps out of the water! It doesn't lag at all, it's totally customizable! You can change the colors & the font which is practically un-heard-of especially with a FB app. I like that everything is right in front of you. On my old FB app I could only see the people that I interacted with lately. This is waaaay better! I've been using it for five minutes and I can already name several things this app does that the other doesn't (such as the ability to copy text, quickly load pictures, and customize color/font). When viewing photos from an iPhone screen, you need to be able to zoom in. (Facebook does!) It's also annoying to constantly see the original Facebook app flicker into Facely while it's loading pages. When I used this app last year I'm gonna admit it was pretty crapy but it seems as though the developers caught many of the bugs within in the app and fixed it. The app use to crash all the time but now running it on my iPad I have no problems at all with it and it in fact runs effortless. Unlike the native Facebook created by Facebook which tends to crash from time to time while browsing friends profiles.
