Not intuitively designed for users. You should get user feedback and make some changes. Some useful content in 2.0 is not available in 3.0 e.g. sell side estimates. This is really not an easy site to find what we need. ### 3/5 — Expected more *2025-01-16* Factset is brilliant but iOS app is quite weak. Research can't be read without association with certain ticker - lots of report can be missed. Charts are slow, and lack of basic functions. I should admit Bloomberg iOS app is also pretty weak, but Factset can do better, I'm sure ### 1/5 — Deteriorating Experience *2024-06-05* From my experience, FDS went from building good SW to a company with bloated and buggy desktop app and junky iPhone app. It is actually quite sad to see the whole thing deteriorate so fast. I spend more time outside of the desktop app then before to get the stuff I need. Wish we switched to BBG ### 1/5 — Needs an update *2024-04-29* This app lacks basic functionality which has forced me to other platforms. The main time I use the app is for travel. However the document search feature has 0 sorting, which makes it very hard to find and save the right things for reading on the go. 4 years is too long to go between major app updates. Barely can find anything I need on the app: - valuation multiples - estimates (depending on industry, would not even show basic cash flow or EBITDA metrics) Suggest referencing Koyfin app or other competitors who have done very well displacing using FactSet. ### 1/5 — App is useless *2024-01-03* UI has been cleaned up vs prior version (2.0) but amount of data available on the app is laughable. Compared to the desktop version, you can barely find any relevant or useful data about the company or financial news on the app. For instance, especially for oil & gas names, key estimates doesn’t even show CFFO or EBITDA. And estimates are only shown for one forward year. All the valuation metrics are backward looking. Nothing on the app is comprehensive or useful. Really worthless when trying to find info quickly while traveling without an access to a laptop. ### 1/5 — Current version is terrible *2023-12-30* UI is clean but amount of data available on the app is almost worthless. Especially related to the estimates, financials, multiples. Some industries limit the estimates and multiples (oil & gas) - so you can’t even see the forward EBITDA or CF multiples. Need to bring back the accessibility to the wider company data. Even though 2.0 had slightly worse UI, data available was fantastic. Factset station always was good but not being able to access basic info on the phone has been extremely frustrating. ### 1/5 — No useful data *2023-10-27* For some stocks in certain sector, key estimates doesn’t even show EBITDA or Capex. Estimated are limited to two years. Basic forward multiples are not easy to find. Prior FactSet 2.0 was way better in regards to the data available. 3.0 should be retired. I've logged in every day for the last week and been asked to submit my feedback. I don't know if I have any more five stars reviews to hand out. It's almost been like the whiny kid in class that keeps asking the teacher for approval. I already told you you do a good job. The UI looks a lot better than the old factset app, but I wish this one included more functionality. For instance, being able to customize a ticker tape to put on the top of the markets screen would be cool, like I can on the full site. Also, some forms of data don’t work very well when I look them up; for almost anything the chart feature is functional but the reports side only really works for equities. I’d like to see it function better for other asset classes. Also, please add a dark mode. Stuff like that, the more in-depth functionality and customization would make this app tremendously better. Of course, making the app feel faster never hurts as well.
