## What is FAFF?

faff (verb, British slang): to waste time on trivial, unimportant things.

Faff about. We'll read you the news.

FAFF turns the sources you choose into a playlist you can read or listen to. Press play and FAFF reads each story aloud in a natural voice, moving from one to the next hands-free while you drive, walk, or cook. Or read along as the words light up.

BUILT FOR IPHONE DUO
• Reading Room: your stories on the left page, the one you're reading on the right
• Open it like a book: articles become facing pages, with the TL;DR on the first page
• Stand it on a table and FAFF becomes a news radio, with Up Next, a sleep timer, and type big enough to read across the room
• Close to Listen: close it mid-story and carry on by ear from the paragraph you were on
• Close it and carry on: whatever you're reading or hearing continues right where you were

PICK YOUR SOURCES
• Start with 130+ hand-picked free sources across News, Tech, Business, AI, Programming, Science, Design, Food, Gaming, Culture, Lifestyle, and Sports
• Add any site by its address, or import your list from Feedly or another reader (OPML)
• Name your own categories, arrange them your way, and star up to six shortcuts

LISTEN TO ANY ARTICLE
• Every story can be read aloud, with each word highlighted as it's spoken
• Partway through a story? Tap Listen from Here and FAFF starts reading where you are
• Press play on Today's Picks for a short spoken rundown of the day, then each story
• Sounds best with a Siri voice: FAFF shows you how to set one up in a minute
• Skip back 15 or ahead 30 seconds from the app, the Lock Screen, or your headphones
• Pick up exactly where you stopped
• Keeps playing in the background and on the Lock Screen, with controls on Apple Watch

GET THE GIST, WITH APPLE INTELLIGENCE
• A three-point TL;DR at the top of every story
• Ask about any story: the background, why it matters, or a plain-English explanation. Or select a passage and choose Ask About This. Answers come only from the article
• Picks That Learn: choose More Like This or Less Like This, and Today's Picks adapts
• Stories in other languages can be read in English
• All of it runs privately on your iPhone

TODAY'S PICKS
• A fresh daily selection from across your sources, balanced so no single outlet dominates

DISCOVER
• Explore what's trending in each category from outlets you don't follow yet, ranked on your iPhone by how many outlets are covering it
• Trending headlines are waiting on the Search tab
• Like a source? Add it to your feeds with one tap

SAVE & NOTE
• Highlight the lines that matter, add your own notes, and find them again in Search
• Press and hold the bookmark to save a story straight into a group you name
• Highlights join their story's group automatically, and Apple Intelligence can summarize a group's highlights
• Your Week: a shareable recap of what you read and heard
• Share a highlight as a quote card, or export your notes

CALM BY DESIGN
• No ads, no pop-ups, and no unread badges. Stories you've read simply turn gray
• New stories first, with Mark All as Read to move on to the next source
• Reading settings for text size, San Francisco or New York fonts, spacing, and a sepia page
• Works offline: Today's Picks, shortcuts, and saved articles are ready without a connection

EVERYWHERE YOU ARE
• Your feeds, saved articles, progress, highlights, and groups sync privately through iCloud to your other iPhones
• Listen in the car with CarPlay
• Widgets for the Home Screen, Lock Screen, and StandBy
• Siri and Shortcuts: "Catch me up with FAFF" or "What's in my picks"
• Find saved stories in Spotlight
• Start listening from Control Center or the Action Button
• Continue an article on your Mac or iPad with Handoff

Private by design: no account needed, and FAFF doesn't collect your data. Your library syncs through your own iCloud, where only you can see it.
