## What is FairScan?

FairScan turns your iPhone into a fast, private document scanner. Point, capture, and get a clean, sharp PDF in 3 taps — saved straight to the Files app, where it belongs to you.

FairScan is built privacy-first: your documents are scanned and processed entirely on your device using Apple's Vision framework. Nothing is uploaded. There's no account to create and no cloud to trust. Your files never leave your iPhone unless you choose to share them.

1. Tap to capture — edge detection frames the page automatically.
2. Tap to confirm — crop, straighten, and enhance for a crisp scan.
3. Tap to save — a multi-page PDF lands in the Files app, ready to share.

### 1.7 — 2026-08-27

The app is called FairScan again.

Same app, same team, same documents — we tried a different name for a few weeks and have moved back to the one you know. Nothing on your device changes and nothing needs re-downloading.

Also in this update: prices show in your own currency, and the wording around plans is clearer — FairScan offers a one-time purchase and, if you prefer, monthly or yearly plans.

### 1.6 — 2026-08-25

Clearer, more honest pricing:

• Prices now appear in your own currency. Settings used to show a US dollar figure to everyone, even where the App Store charges something different.
• Corrected how the app describes what it sells. FairDocs offers a one-time purchase and, if you prefer, monthly or yearly plans — earlier wording said there were no subscriptions at all, which wasn't accurate.
• Fixed onboarding headlines being cut off in several languages, including Arabic.

### 1.5 — 2026-08-21

• Import documents from Files — FairDocs now appears in "Open With" and "Copy to FairDocs" for PDFs and images.
• Optional scan reminder — pick a weekly or monthly schedule. Off by default; no streaks, no guilt.
• Trial courtesy reminder — start a free trial and we'll notify you 2 days before it ends, so you can keep it or cancel. No surprises.
• Updated upgrade screen — pay once, own it forever is now front and center.

### 1.4 — 2026-08-14

Fixed a rare crash that could occur while reading text from a scanned page. Scans that fail to save are now reported to us instead of disappearing silently, so we can find and fix them faster.
