## What is FairShare?

FairShare makes splitting group expenses simple, transparent, and stress-free.

Whether you're on a trip with friends, sharing a rental, or splitting dinner tabs, FairShare keeps everyone on the same page with real-time expense tracking and a settlement flow designed to prevent the #1 problem with group payments: people paying before all expenses are in.

How it works:
1. Create a group and invite friends with a single tap
2. Add expenses as they happen, split equally or choose specific people
3. When the trip is over, everyone confirms expenses are complete
4. See exactly who owes who, then pay directly via Venmo or Zelle

Why FairShare:
- Settlement gate: No one can see payment amounts until everyone confirms all expenses are added. No more incorrect payments.
- Expected members: Set how many people you're expecting. The app makes sure everyone has joined before you settle up.
- Participation windows: Joined the trip late or left early? Only get charged for the days you were there.
- Simplified settlements: Our algorithm minimizes the number of payments needed. 5 people, 3 payments instead of 10.
