## What is Fairways.ae?

The app UAE golf societies run on. Live scoring and leaderboards for your society, free GPS yardages on 11 UAE courses, and an AI caddie that knows your real distances.

SOCIETY DAYS, SORTED
Your captain posts the event; you join in one tap. Everyone scores their own card, the leaderboard updates live on every phone and on the clubhouse screen, and results go out the same evening. The Order of Merit keeps itself all season. Captains: we will run your next event, free — fairways.ae/societies.

YARDAGES THAT KNOW WHERE YOU ARE
Front, centre and back on every hole of every mapped UAE course, free, without leaving the scorecard. Fairways+ adds the 3D yardage book and the Smart Caddie, which suggests a club from your own measured distances rather than from a chart.

SCORE ANY ROUND
Stableford, stroke play, match play, scramble, betterball or a casual knock, on any UAE course. Scan a printed scorecard with the camera. Your Fairways handicap estimate (unofficial) updates when you hole out on 18 — get an official WHS handicap from the Emirates Golf Federation at egfgolf.ae.

AI THAT TELLS YOU ONE THING
Film one swing and the AI Swing Studio measures tempo, turn and sway on your phone — your last five clips are kept privately so you can compare — then names the one thing to work on. Finish a round and Explain My Round says where the shots went. Both in Fairways+.

AND THE REST
Follow your mates, give kudos, post to the feed. Join games and societies. Stamp every course you play in the UAE Golf Passport. Head-to-head and monthly challenges scored live from real rounds.

MEMBERSHIP
Everything that gets a society round the course is free: scoring, societies, live leaderboards, the Order of Merit, basic yardages, the handicap estimate, the feed. Every new account includes 14 days of Fairways+.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.07 — 2026-10-07

One membership, not two. Everything that was Premium — the AI Swing Studio, Explain My Round — is now in Fairways+, and every new account gets 14 days of it included. Basic front, centre and back yardages are free on every mapped course.

Founding Member: Fairways+ for AED 199.99 a year, held for as long as you stay, for the first 250 UAE golfers. Ends 31 December.

Societies: an invite link that joins people as they sign up, public results pages and a clubhouse TV mode, Order of Merit points you choose, tee times and prizes on every event, and a results card for the group chat.

Also: the Fairways Medal — our monthly open competition for golfers not in a society; a referral link that earns a month of Fairways+ when three friends play; partner codes from club pros; and the Win a Fourball on Earth competition, entered in one tap.

### 1.06 — 2026-09-10

A redesigned bottom navigation, a rebuilt live round screen, personal goals that track against your real rounds, and a fix for the message keyboard hiding what you're typing.

### 1.05 — 2026-09-08

Invite links now open straight in the app — tap a society or game link from WhatsApp and you land in the right place.

### 1.04 — 2026-09-06

A fresh look throughout, and a lot of fixes.

• Share any round to Instagram, WhatsApp or anywhere else as a Fairways card
• Rounds you play together now work properly — invitations arrive, and your playing partners' scores appear on your card as they score them
• Edit the scores on a round after you've finished it
• Your stats are accurate: averages no longer count rounds where you didn't track that stat
• The feed is in date order, with real course photography
• Redesigned yardage book — distances down the left, tap anywhere on the hole for an exact number from where you're standing
• Society captains can invite golfers with a share link or WhatsApp

### 1.02 — 2026-08-28

GPS yardages now work throughout the app — this never worked on the phone before
AI Swing Studio available in the app itself
"My distances" and "Edit profile" moved into the main menu
You're notified when someone adds you to their round
Longer splash, and phone sign-in hidden until the SMS provider is liv
