I enjoy using this app for my reading for seminary class. However, the app crashes often when I highlight.

I like the free ebooks and audiobook feature to try out different subjects.

### 5/5 — One request

*2023-01-29, version 22.0.1*

Could you please sync to furthest read spot in a book across devices? I read sometimes on my iPad and other times on my phone and it would be perfect if I could pick right back up from where I left off. Thanks!

### 5/5 — Bible footnotes

*2023-01-15, version 22.0.1*

I love this App, because it gives quick links to associated scripture. I use it as a daily reference in my Bible reading.

### 3/5 — Split View

*2022-10-11, version 10.0.0*

The app is good and I like it. But have not been able to add the resources I want and need and not able to activate Split View like I had at first with this app.

### 5/5 — Excellent, Fully Functional Prayer & Study Guide.

*2022-09-09, version 9.16.0*

### 5/5 — Wow!

*2022-08-10, version 9.15.0*

### 4/5 — All My Logos Bibles and Books in One App

*2022-07-04, version 9.14.1*

My Bibles and books in my Logos/FaithLife accounts are in one app. And that is over 100. My only complaint is downloading books and getting them visible to read. It is a convoluted process even after they are downloaded. Really I couldn't tell someone how to do it.

### 5/5 — Buggy

*2022-05-22, version 9.13.1*

This app is so buggy. Highlighting does not work reliably. A horizontal line can be made to appear across the top of the text, and fade in and out. These bugs have been here for a long time, and remain.

### 5/5 — Coordinated

*2021-12-17, version 9.9.3*

Really enjoy this app as it seamlessly coordinates with the Logos Bible App. My only suggestion is that both apps need to show the page number and be able to bookmark.

### 5/5 — More Important Than the Logos App!

*2021-09-04, version 9.7.0*

I am a Portfolio user and have been waiting for this since day one! Not only do I have my entire library in a much more readable format now, but I finally have a real solution to enjoy all of the Mobile Ed video and audio content in a way that is actually usable. (Adding an Automatic Loading of the next chapter would make it perfect.) Great job Logos on this overdue app!!

### 3/5 — Difficult to highlight

*2021-08-30, version 9.7.0*

I thoroughly enjoy the app, however highlighting is a chore on my iPad. The Kindle app highlighting has spoiled me. If highlighting was quicker and smoother I would give this app a 5 star rating.

### 5/5 — Thanks for doing the work Christ commanded

*2021-08-25, version 9.7.0*

I’m so joyous to have this apps because is elevating me my walk with Jesus Christ. It simplifies the word of God making it easier to apply, and bring all my thoughts and ability in submission and obedience to Christ Jesus.

May God’s continue to guide your heart and creativity in light of his will, making you valuable and prosperous in all you do in his name forever amen!!

### 4/5 — Good and Bad

*2021-07-21, version 9.6.3*

It would have been easy if the contents are available in one screen. User Interface is a little hassle. But overall its good.

### 5/5 — Excellent resource

*2021-07-13, version 9.6.0*

It’s a good array of books. Just downloaded and started to read.

### 5/5 — The Book of Numbers- NAC

*2021-06-01, version 9.5.0*

2 Timothy 2:15 - YES!!!! 😇

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — NOT RECEIVING MY EBOOK

*2022-10-02, version 9.16.0*

I WAS EXPECTING TO START READING A NEW FREE BOOK AND IT HAPPENS NOT TO BE INSIDE MY EBOOK APP. AND I TRIED TO PUT IT ON THE CART TO DOWNLOAD THE BOOK INTO MY APP AND IT DOES NOT LET ME

### 1/5 — App Collects All Feedback

*2021-11-11, version 9.9.0*

In the app Settings, there is an item called “Send Feedback”. It gives three options: (1) All, (2) Anonymous, and (3) None. However, if you choose, None, then exit Settings, then tap Sync your data (also in app Settings), then go back into Settings to check, you will find that Send Feedback has reset itself to All. Hoping this deceptive bug gets squashed soon!

### 1/5 — Thumbs down

*2019-06-04, version 8.4.0*

Use to use this program daily. But now it crashes. I can’t even get past startup screen.

### 1/5 — Crash

*2018-10-30, version 8.0.0*

New Logos 8 version crashes every time on current IOS with both iPhone and iPad.

### 1/5 — So much potential but so unless!

*2015-12-04, version 5.0.3*

I've owned Logos since it first came out. I think I did beta testing too. I love Logos and can't begin to figure how many hours I've used it. I would give this app five stars for content available and cost of content. I've had this app since it was released and you can tell from my rating that I'm VERY disappointed. It has many good features, and strong links to Logos.

All the positives can't overcome a glaring weakness. You can't add bookmarks! That's nuts for an app designed for reading books. It also is terribly limited in how you sort your library. I can't even sort by when a book was added which makes finding books in my 1000+ library more than difficult.

These problems are easily fixed but repeated requests have never been responded to much less addressed. I hope this review will change that!

### 1/5 — Sadly, not Happy

*2015-07-25, version 4.6.4*

I was really looking forward to this app because I'd get to read the books in my Logos library that are less research based. However, when I opened the app it has a huge amount of books I don't want to see in my library, cluttering it up, that I cannot remove. I asked Logos about this and they said the app randomly chose books to pull into Vyrso and that I can't remove -- great! If I cannot pick and choose which books I see in my Vyrso library I won't use this app. I'll use the Kindle app which lets me do that. Then, I just opened the app, only to find that the 100 books I did download into Vyrso are no longer there. UGH!!! This could be a really cool app and very useful, even a Christian competitor with the Kindle app if it'd fix these two issues.

### 1/5 — Not a very good book reader. No features

*2015-02-19, version 4.4.2*

Vyrso is nothing but a front end for my logos collection. It has no features that kindle or iBooks has. It presents me with my thousands of books when I open it. I need collections so I can track the books I am reading. I read several daily devotions every day. To open these books I have to go to the search and weed through thousands of books to find the one I want. The search is slow and will regularly not show me the books I want. It takes many minutes between each book which makes reading several daily devotional a a time consuming and tedious operation. I can type in the exact title and the book is listed several several screens down. I need to be able to have collections and add books to favorites, not just pages. This is useless since it does nothing different from logos or faithlife.

### 1/5 — Looks promising.

*2014-11-29, version 4.4.0*

Books downloaded are not available offline. The helpline doesn't really help. The information from this app doesn't match up to the website. It's nice that you can download all types of free books except you can only read them while you are online. The only available text offline is a King James Bible. Hopefully these kinks will be worked out sometime this century. This app really hasn't worked since I've downloaded it. Keep trying you're almost there.

After further investigation it looks like you have to buy a license to download books for offline use. So this is something to consider. I had to look through all of their old message boards to figure this out. It would have been nice to have been told that up front.

### 1/5 — Sign in?

*2013-05-10, version 3.2.4*

It's very difficult reviewing an app which will not allow signing in! (It doesn't recognize characters) Highlighting is a great feature as is the ability to add notes to a piece of text! Not good is the way it freezes when (accidentally) trying to access note files when off line - with no way of cancelling the only option is to wait until connecting is possible.

### 1/5 — Can't read off line!!!!

*2012-12-26, version 3.1.4*

Downloaded programme several times to try to download books from my library to read off line, but the option is not there. Furthermore, I can't remove books from the shelf and have my chosen books to read later. This is very frustrating!!!!

The advice given on the help section on how to go it does not make sense to the current option, the (i) is for information and to download, but no option to read off line!!

Please get this sorted and update your information. Very disappointed!!!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

Easy to use, intuitive, and provides all the tools you need.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2025-12-22, version 47.0.0*

Stable / reliable /good price

### 5/5 — Great!

*2025-01-24, version 39.0.1*

Great app. Easy to read and utilize, particularly with my Logos library.

### 5/5 — ESV Translation

*2024-08-25, version 35.0.2*

I have used the ESV translation for several years. I love taking scripture apart and getting down to the original meaning. This translation is very trustworthy!

### 5/5 — Versatile and easy easy to use

*2024-08-01, version 35.0.1*

I’ve had this product for over 20 years. The interactions between the books is awesome. There are so many books in my library. I’ll probably never read all of them. But it’s nice to know that I always have the resources available.

### 5/5 — The good, the bad, and the neutral (and why only 3 stars)

*2024-04-27, version 33.0.1*

The Faithlife Reader is essentially a stripped down clone of the Logos mobile app, so if you already have Logos you can decide if you also need a 2nd reader for the same resources. Some will, some won’t.

What I like about Faithlife/Logos apps is that you can have more than one book open. This is a great feature I wish more readers had.

But my big criticism is the lack of a simple intuitive bookmark feature, which I see as standard for any ebook reader (and I use several). There are workarounds, but they are clumsy. Since this is a reader app rather than a study app, I’d expect this even more.

Furthermore, it seems that Logos/Faithlife users have been asking for this basic feature for years, so this is not just me saying this.

So, until they add this basic feature, I can only give it 3 stars. But it is a usable reader with some really good features.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2024-01-25, version 31.0.0*

I love the way they put mark by the verse for more information on there reading plan.

### 5/5 — The Book of Matthew

*2023-12-25, version 30.0.4*

Would to God if more of us believers follow what Jesus is teaching us, more would submit to our Heavenly Father. 🎶Jesus Saves, Jesus Saves! 🎶 😇

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2023-07-03, version 26.0.0*

Appreciate that it is connected with Logos.
